Chapter 149: Asking for job
Fang Fei’s face burnt with humiliation but she suppressed the fire in her heart and gasped. She pretended to be helpless and did her buttons that she had undone with her exaggerated movements and said to Lei Yan, “I—I really didn’t mean anything… Miss, you seem to dislike me a bit too much.”

“Did Miss Bai say something to you? Please don’t listen to her biased words. I have never done anything—AHHHH!”

Lei Yan who was done listening to Fang Fei’s nonsense. She rolled her eyes and activated her supernatural powers, which caused Fang Fei to kneel down and then lie flat on the ground as if she had been suppressed by something heavy.

The pain was so bad that Fang Fei felt her teeth and bones almost shatter.

“What—what are you doing?” she gritted out.

“With such a weak body, you came here and tried to seduce Brother Lu? Do you think that I am dead? I am telling you if you come here again, I will smash your head open! And I don’t care if you are human; it wouldn’t be any different than breaking the head of a zombie open. ”

After she finished speaking, Lei Yan closed the door and glared at Lu Yu, “Don’t even think of bringing such women into the house!”

Lu Yu shook his head immediately. He had no intention of finding a woman for the time being and even if he did want to find one, then he would never look for someone like Fang Fei!

Fang Fei, who had been insulted and humiliated, had no desire to linger in front of the door either. She got up and walked away, completely losing the mood to stay.

Bai Meiyue looked at the door of the room where Fang Fei was hiding and curled her lips. She looked around and found a red-eyed mutated rat scampering away. She smiled maliciously and caught the rat in her hands. As she had awakened as a supernatural being, the bites of this rat didn’t hurt her, but someone like Fang Fei—hehe.

This mouse would become her greatest tormentor.

Bai Meiyue casually opened the door and threw the mutated rat inside the storeroom.

When Fang Fei saw what Bai Meiyue was trying to do, she was scared out of her wits. She subconsciously wanted to run out of the room but before she could, Bai Meiyue had already thrown the rat inside the room and closed the door.

Fang Fei caught the door and yelled, “Bai Meiyue! Let me out. Open the door quickly. You cannot do this to me.”

Bai Meiyue arched a brow when she heard Fang Fei’s words. She recalled how the people who had bought her two nephews told her that the limbs of Bai Qian Han and Bai Jiuque were cut off before they bought them and had nothing to do with them.

And when she tracked Fang Qing down, the woman told her that it was Fang Fei who cut the wrists and feet of her two sons because she was afraid that they would fight back and run away.

Such a ruthless woman. She didn’t deserve a proper ending.

Thinking about the past, Bai Meiyue didn’t hesitate and chopped down the fingers that were holding the door.

“AHHH!!!”

There was a scream followed by a light click as the door shut closed. Bai Meiyue curled her lips and then bolted the door with an iron chain that she took out from her space pocket.

After she was done, Bai Meiyue kicked the bloody fingers right in front of the door to attract the zombies.

Fang Fei had paid off a little interest that she owed Bai Meiyue from her past life.

However, there was more to come.

Bai Meiyue looked at the door from where the howling was coming from and curled her lips.

“Please don’t die too soon.”

Bai Meiyue returned to her floor and found five people standing in front of her door. She was quite surprised when she saw Meng Suisui waiting for her.

“What are you doing here?”

Meng Suisui hesitated but when she thought about her cousin’s shameless actions and her brother’s habit of following others, she said to Bai Meiyue, “Sister Meiyue, do you have jobs for us? We cannot do much but we would like to do some odd jobs in exchange for supplies. It doesn’t matter what kind of jobs you hand us, we are willing.”

“Are you sure?” Bai Meiyue asked while looking at the famous and renowned Director Feng and the two people behind him.

Wen Mian and Wang Ba, these two people won best actress and actor award for three consecutive years and were quite popular and rich. She couldn’t believe that they were willing to do odd jobs.

“We are willing,” Wang Ba spoke in a calm voice. He might be a rich and popular actor but —Wang Ba sighed. Now that the situation was like this, what could he do with his past fame? He had neither resources nor connections that would help him.

Wen Mian nodded as well. She wasn’t good with words but she still honestly said, “We are not skilled but we are willing to learn. Miss Bai, if you are willing, can you give us something to do? Even if it is a small job, we are willing.”

Director Feng didn’t say anything but his stance was clear; he too was willing to do any job at this point.

Bai Meiyue blinked her eyes. She glanced at Meng Suisui and the rest before saying, “Well, there is a job that you can do.”
