Chapter 175: Bai Meiyue threw up!
Bai Jixuan narrowed his eyes. He seemed more than just dissatisfied with Lei Qian, but Mother Bai was over the moon when she heard Lei Qian’s words.

“There is no need to thank us,” said Mother Bai with a simpering smile. “This is what we are supposed to do. Isn’t that right, Yueyue?” For someone who was always looked down on by her husband and never treated like a human being, Mother Bai thought that Lei Qian had done a great job.

What could Bai Meiyue even say? She could only smile and nod. Though she felt a bit burdened with the gifts that Lei Qian had brought over, Bai Meiyue didn’t reject them. Because somewhere she knew that Lei Qian was right.

She was the one who saved the Lei family, so even if she were to take these gifts, no one could say anything.
