Chapter 284: No supplies, no entry
Of course she was not in a hurry; she would first let Su Hu taste the sweetness of slowly getting out of the whirlpool where he was stuck at the moment. Once he was sure that he was going to escape, she would pull him back down in the mud. Didn’t he like teasing her quite a lot in the past? Then she would make that man suffer the same agony as her.

He loved Bai Xue, right? Then she would make sure that he would never be able to extricate himself from the grasp of that woman. In this lifetime, Bai Xue and Su Hu would stay together just like in the past, but this time around there would be no love, only hatred.

Their team returned to the Sunshine Complex. However, the second they arrived at the apartment building, in just a few days, things had changed quite a lot. There were large sacks sitting in front of the entrance and Ni Baoguo, along with a few more residents, were sitting outside.

It seemed like they had set a small base when Bai Meiyue and the rest were gone.

Seeing this, Bai Jixuan frowned and turned to look at Bai Meiyue who said, “there is no need to give them any importance; just drive past them. I will see who will stop us.”

Bai Jixuan listened to Bai Meiyue very much these days; he did as she asked. First they parked their car in the garage and then walked to the front of the entrance, where the survivors were patrolling. As soon as they stepped forward, one of the guards stepped forward and stopped them.

With a baseball bat in his hands, he barred their path and said to them, “Who are you? And where do you think you are entering?” He then glanced at their supplies and gulped before saying to Bai Meiyue, “If you want to go inside, then you need to hand all your supplies to us.”

The person who stopped them was just a young man but he seemed to have gained some inexplicable confidence as he looked at Bai Meiyue and the others.

Lei Qian glanced at Bai Meiyue, who was smiling but she was wearing a smile that made him nervous, and he turned to look at the man in front of him. He looked too young to die, so he politely said to him, “This is where we live.”

As soon as Lei Qian finished speaking, the man burst out laughing. He looked at Lei Qian and said to him, “hahaha, you really know how to lie. Tell me the truth; you found out that our building was protected by very powerful ability users and you came to stay. Stop lying and take your supplies out; if you cannot do it, then get lost!”

The smile on Lei Qian completely disappeared; if not for the fact that it would look cowardly, he would have asked Bai Meiyue to beat this man up. How dare he speak nonsense in front of them like this?

“We are the residents of this building!”

The young man paused when he saw Lei Qian’s momentum. He turned to look at Ni Baoguo, who shrugged innocently and said, “I don’t recall seeing them.”

When the young man heard Ni Baoguo’s response, he turned to look at Lei Qian and the rest and said to them, “See? The son of the manager of this apartment building doesn’t recognise you. So, you must be lying.”

“That’s because he is both blind and foolish,” Bai Meiyue finally spoke up. She raised her head and looked at Ni Baoguo lazily. “I have the deed for my apartment; should I show it to you now? I don’t mind if you can read it.”

As soon as she finished speaking, Ni Baoguo flushed red. He looked at her and said to her, “This is the new law of this building; if you cannot follow it, then you can leave! Shoo! Get lost. We don’t welcome you.”

“Who do you think you are to chase us away?” Lei Yan shouted.

Ni Baoguo puffed his chest and said, “I am the newly appointed leader of patrol guards. The leader gave me the responsibility to make sure that some unwanted elements won’t enter the apartment building.” as he spoke, he looked at Bai Meiyue with contempt.

Seeing this, Bai Meiyue sneered and asked, “Who is your leader? Is it Bai Xue?”

“That’s right.”

“Hah!” Bai Meiyue scoffed. “Tell that woman to first stop hiding behind others and step out of her hideout first. If she cannot even do that, who was she trying to fool by calling herself the leader? You engage in such treacherous actions and act justifiable? The reason this building is so secure is because we made it safe. Who do you think you are to stop us from entering?”

“Hand our supplies? Why? Do you think that she is my mother and that I will raise her?!”

As she spoke, the entire area started to slowly freeze as ice shards bigger than a human started to appear in front of others.

Bai Meiyue stepped forward and looked at the young man in front of her. Even though she had only frozen their legs, the two men were shivering as if she had frozen them stiff. She commanded, “The next time you try to stop me, it won’t be as simple as this.”

After she finished speaking, she entered the building, leaving the two men frozen.

Lei Qian looked at the two men who couldn’t move and snickered like a proud husband. “I did tell you to move politely earlier. Why did you have to refuse the toast only to drink it in forfeit?”

After he finished speaking, he chased after Bai Meiyue. He could of course get those men out in a matter of seconds but since Bai Meiyue refused to let them off, who was he to show them mercy?

He then chased after Bai Meiyue and asked, “Was he talking about your half sister? How did she become a leader?”
