Chapter 374: Found the supplies
Bai Meiyue had no intention of making herself look like some holy mother. So, she made her intentions clear from the start.
When Liu Mei heard that her mother had sent Bai Meiyue and her team, she turned excited. Looking around, she asked, “Our mother? Is our mother alright?” Truth be told, she was really worried about her mother. Because Madam Rong didn’t like their mother, and she had always caused trouble for her.
This time too. Who knows what that woman had planned in her head but she sent their mother on another mission and locked them up in this small storeroom.
Bai Meiyue nodded and replied, “She is fine. We have dealt with the men who were with her and she is currently waiting outside for you two. I and our team will bring you two there later on,” she paused and added, “Or you can go to look for your mother now?”
Liu Che shook his head and stated, “No, we will go with you. My name is Liu Che; you can call me Ah Che.”
“And I am Liu Mei; just call me Meimei.”
“Bai Meiyue.” Bai Meiyue introduced herself as she turned to walk out of the room while Liu Che and Liu Mei silently repeated the name of their saviour in their hearts. Liu Che especially thought that Bai Meiyue’s name was really nice and suited her really well.
When Wan Guofu saw that the things were escalating in the opposite direction, he immediately turned his attention to Bai Meiyue and said to him, “Let’s take a look at Boss Yun’s room before anyone senses that there is something amiss.”
Bai Meiyue nodded as she left the store room. She climbed up the stairs and didn’t meet a single guard. Most probably they were used to deserting the corridor when Boss Yun was having his own fun.
With no one stopping her, it didn’t take long for her to arrive at Boss Yun’s room. She kicked open the door and entered the room, where she started looking around for antiques and the secret documents that the military sent to Boss Yun. it was simply impossible that they didn’t know what Boss Yun was doing, which meant that the higher-ups turned a blind eye to the man because his ability was really rare.
“They must have sent him special orders,” muttered Bai Meiyue as she looked around the room. Boss Yun was the leader of this base; he must have been given some special commands.
However, as she looked around the room, she realised that Boss Yun was not as careless as she took him to be. She couldn’t find any secret documents. Bai Meiyue narrowed her eyes. She knew that it was impossible for the room to be this clean, which was why she quickly exchanged a device that could find any secret slot and room from the barter system.
Once the device was in her hands, she took a quick scan of the room, and sure enough, she found more than ten slots that were hidden from normal eyes. Bai Meiyue opened these slots one by one and then pulled out the documents as well as the content that was stored in them.
She first took a look at the letters and the detailed documents that were securely kept in envelopes, and then turned the contents of the boxes upside down. She knew that the military supported the dark organisation, but she had no idea that they were so closely tied.
They have already started experimenting on the ability users!
Bai Meiyue looked at the vaccine that was scattered on the tabletop, and a surge of anger burst through her veins. These bastards. Instead of paying attention to the awakened ability users, they wanted to inject them with unknown vaccines and then make them die an unknown death, such that they could take out their cores from within their bodies.
Half of the vaccines were nothing but poison, while the other half were vaccines that could make one addicted to them and slowly break their mind.
It was simply too disgusting.
They were testing such things on human beings as if they were cats and dogs.
Bai Meiyue’s eyes flashed with murderous intent, and she barged out of the room. She headed downstairs, where she ignored the surprised looks of her team members and then stabbed the already dead Boss Yun with her dagger. She pulled out the core that was within his body and threw it inside the space pocket. When others saw her actions, they were stunned as they couldn’t believe her series of ruthless actions.
However, no one stopped her. After all, they knew that Bai Meiyue would never have done such a thing for no reason.
Bai Meiyue didn’t pay attention to the looks that others were giving her and nailed Boss Yun on the wall; she wanted the higher-ups to see how it felt to be attacked just like how they attack others.
She sneered when she saw the body dangling by the nail that she had smashed in Boss Yun’s head and then turned to walk out of the store room, only to run into Yang Chunhua and her second brother.
She asked, “Second brother, have you guys found where the supplies are being kept?”
“You won’t believe where the supplies are,” Bai Jixuan said to her with a light-hearted snicker.
Bai Meiyue frowned when she heard her brother’s snickering. She thought for a while when she noticed the glint in her brother’s eyes. The cogs in her head started working as she turned to look down at the floor on which she was standing. She noticed that though the floor was evened out, it was freshly painted.
She raised her head and met the gaze of her brother, who smiled back at her. “It’s here?”
She couldn’t believe it. Boss Yun was really careful. He thought that others would definitely look for the ammunition in his room, so he buried it under the floor of the storeroom where he imprisoned people.
