Chapter 377: Don’t make trouble
The old woman couldn’t understand. Madam Ai was just slightly prettier than her daughter, so why were their fates so different? Her daughter was far more capable and multiple times better than Madam Ai!

Bai Meiyue’s eyes turned cold when she heard the old woman curse her mother. She narrowed her eyes and said to her, “Are you saying that your upbringing is better than mine? I don’t know about that. At least my mother taught me that I shouldn’t touch or open bags that don’t belong to me.”

She then pointed at the empty bags of jerky before saying, “These bags are mine, and so was the food. How can you eat the dried meat without asking me? Tell me, how are you going to pay for these bags?”

As soon as the old woman heard that she had to pay for the beef jerky that she had eaten, she turned terrified. But after a few seconds, she stiffened her neck and yelled at Bai Meiyue, “So what if we ate a little bit of your stuff? You have so much food; can’t we eat a little? How can you be so selfish? Shouldn’t you be helping us out when you are in a better condition than us?”

When Bai Meiyue heard the shameless words of the old woman, she was so angry that she started laughing. Did this old woman think that she could eat her stuff, pat her butt and leave? She was not so kind. If someone dared to touch her stuff and then went ahead and embarrassed her, then they had to see if they had the guts to do it.

She fished out the dagger that was strapped to the side of her waist. The blade gleamed with cold light, and before the old woman could understand what was going on, Bai Meiyue lunged at her. The next second, the old woman felt a burst of pain exploding all over her right arm as blood splattered all over the ground.

She looked down and saw that her wrist had been severed!

“AHHHH! My hand! My hand!” the old woman screamed in pain and terror. Now that such a thing had happened, how was she going to survive in the apocalypse?

Bai Meiyue stared at the old woman who was clutching her bleeding right hand and screaming with pain. Her eyes shifted slightly, and she turned to look at the rest of the people who stood behind the old woman. She said to them, “Get lost before I lose my temper or else don’t blame me for being rude.”

Just because she looked good-tempered didn’t mean that she was!

Liu Che watched the entire thing coldly without stopping Bai Meiyue, and even though Liu Mei was a bit nauseous because of the blood and the tendons that were hanging in the air.

All the survivors were scared silly by Bai Meiyue. They no longer dared to make a fuss and turned to run away. They were worried that this woman would attack them next; after all, they also ate her jerky.

They left without looking behind or caring about the old woman who was rolling on the ground.

The old woman stared at Bai Meiyue viciously and scolded her angrily, “You bitch! You will not have a good life! You and your children will suffer in the same manner. Just you wait.”

The air around Bai Meiyue turned cold. The one thing that she hated was when people cursed at her son. In her past life, many people would scold and blame her and her son whenever things went wrong.

She detested people who would target little kids when nothing went according to them.

“Since you don’t know how to speak, then there is no need for you to speak.” Bai Meiyue glanced coldly at the woman while Bai Zhan and Bai Jixuan lit a candle for the old woman. They had seen how protective their sister was when it came to her unborn child; this woman dared to curse Bai Meiyue’s precious child—she better be prepared for what was coming for her.

The old woman was not a foolish person. She sensed the murderous intent in Bai Meiyue’s eyes at once. She knew that this woman was not someone she could mess with, and yet she had somehow offended her. She started to feel afraid and wanted to back away, but Bai Meiyue didn’t let her leave.

She caught the jaw of the old woman and pulled her tongue out. Another burst of blood exploded all over the place, and the old woman started to roll on the floor in pain, but she couldn’t make a single comprehensive sentence because her tongue had been cut off.

Bai Zhan sighed. He walked over to where Bai Meiyue was standing and patted her on the back. “Alright, stop getting angry. It’s not good for your health.”

Bai Meiyue understood that her brother was only telling her for her own good and snorted. She let go of the old woman and said to her, “You are lucky that I have no intention to kill anyone today. As for whether you can survive tonight or not, it will depend on your luck.”

After she finished speaking, she turned to walk away. This time around, the old woman was truly scared. She saw Madam Ai and rushed over; she hugged her thighs and cried. ” A…ave me …a…ve me.”

Madam Ai was a soft-hearted woman. When she saw the condition in which the old woman was, she couldn’t help but turn to look at Bai Meiyue. She wanted to beg for mercy for the old woman, but before she could say anything, she was pulled back by her children, who shook their heads. Seeing that her children didn’t want her to speak, Madam Ai didn’t say anything.

She glanced at the old woman before pulling her leg free from her and walking away.

Since it was late, they didn’t hurry back home; instead, they took a bit of rest in the RV.
