Lei Qian couldn’t help but ask sourly, “Meiyue, are you that happy that I am about to die?”

“When did I say that I am happy?” Bai Meiyue arched her brow. “Its you who did not take my word seriously. I asked you if there was something wrong in Cloud but you took my warning lightly. Is it I who is treating your life lightly, or is it you who took your life lightly?”

“Meiyue—forget it,” Lei Qian didn’t want to fight with Bai Meiyue for no reason. Especially not when he was about to die. Instead of attacking their heads, their heads are the weakest point and they can only be killed when they are attacked on their heads.”

“And try to keep your distance from these mutated rats; they are carrying a deadly virus. If you are not careful, then you will become like them. In short, your body will go through a mutation like them and you will turn into zombies.”

“Lei Qian, I know that it will be really terrifying at first but make sure that you don’t lose your mind and keep your courage and wits intact.”

Bai Meiyue relayed the important points to Lei Qian. Though she was quite upset that the man had not taken her words seriously, she still cared for him; after all, Lei Qian was her little Cai Cai’s father. She would not let him die in the hands of mutated rats.

If this man died and her son later on asked about him, was she going to tell him that his father was killed by rats? That would be so humiliating! Lei Qian must have saved an entire city in his past life that he ran into her or else he would have died with his eyes open.

“That’s all you can do, Lei Qian. If you lose your mind, then you will lose your life, so make sure you have a stable head on your shoulder or else!”

After she finished speaking, she ended the call without letting Lei Qian say anything else; this was not the time to reminisce.

She looked at the screen of her phone and looked up. So the end of the world was coming; the end of the world was really coming. Since the mutated rats had also appeared, it shouldn’t be long before the city was attacked by a tsunami.

With a sigh, she raised her head and looked at the bakery that was opened on the side of the street. She thought a little and decided to buy all the breads and desserts in the bakery, no matter what, in the apocalypse, even a single piece of bread could be sold for millions of cores.

He couldn’t understand how Bai Meiyue knew about such things but he had no other choice but to believe and take her advice; after all, Lei Qian didn’t want to die. If he died here, then who knows what kind of rotten peach blossom would Bai Meiyue attract?

He thought about it a little and turned to look at the two bodyguards before saying to them, “Let’s go; we have no other choice but to put this advice to work.”

These rats couldn’t be harmed through bullets and they were too terrified to approach them. Since that was the case, then they might as well follow Bai Meiyue’s advice.

He then turned to look at his family and was stunned to see the three of them looking at him with shock in their eyes.

When Lei Yan heard that she needed to kill those disgusting creatures, her face turned pale and she asked, “Brother, do I need to kill those beasts as well? I—I can’t kill them.”

“If you can’t kill them, then are you waiting for death?” Lei Qian snapped. He looked at his sister and didn’t coddle her like his parents. He said to her, “You have already seen how the situation is like at the moment; if you dare to hesitate, then we will all die here.”
