Chapter 75: Sister in law came looking for her brother

Bai Meiyue and the rest returned to the Sunshine Deluxe apartment before dawn.

As soon as they arrived, they found the staircase blocked by a few people. They were sitting at the end of the staircase and looking at the water that was only getting higher with each passing day with gloomy looks on their faces.

However, as soon as they saw someone coming with a rubber boat and bulging bags, they immediately stood up and started chattering.

“Did you bring something to eat with you? Can you share a little with us? I am really hungry and cold. It has been a week since I haven’t eaten anything.”

Once someone spoke, the rest of the crowd also followed excitedly.

“That’s right; it seems like you all brought a lot of things. Share some with us!”

“We don’t eat much, just give us a few snacks.”

“Look at the child; he hadn’t eaten for more than three days.”

“What did you bring? Come on, let us have a look.”

Bai Meiyue waved her dagger and snarled, “Get out of the way before I make you.”

She wasn’t going to be polite with these people who didn’t even know how to work hard and were still relying on someone to come and save them. The world was coming to an end. What kind of daydream were they living in?

Everyone who was causing trouble suddenly went silent when they saw the blood on the dagger as well as Bai Meiyue’s clothes.

But someone in the back couldn’t stay quiet and shouted,

“Why are you being so heartless? You have so much food; can’t you give some to us?”

“That’s right! If you don’t give us the food, then you can forget about going upstairs! If we cannot live a good life, then you can forget about living a decent life either!”

“Are you trying to act as hooligans?” Lei Yan was so angry when she heard the crude words of these people that she couldn’t help but scold, “Who do you think you are? Just because you asked us to hand our supplies over, we need to listen to you? Why don’t you go and look for them on your own? Who owes you anything?”

“Just because you are shameless, you think you can suppress anyone with your shamelessness?”

Her words caused many of the refugees to blush in shame but there were some who didn’t feel that they were in the wrong.

They even started to preach Lei Yan.

“Yo, you little girl. You really know how to speak; watch out if you can marry a decent man with that sharp tongue of yours.”

“How can you talk to us like that, little girl? You think we are begging for food? Its only because the rain caused us to leave our houses with nothing or else who would care for these useless supplies of yours?”

“It was Manager Ni who said that we can request meals and help from the residents so why are you refusing us?”

Bai Zhan sucked in a breath and Lei Yan cursed angrily, “Who is he to make the promise on our behalf? Did we agree to it?”

“He is your property manager—”

“That’s right; he is just the property manager and not our manager,” Bai Meiyue intervened as she glanced at the man who was speaking. “What’s more, we purchased the penthouse with full payment; that man can do nothing to us. Since he is the one who made the promise, go and demand meals from him. What are you causing the blockage for?”

She had hardly finished speaking and was planning to fight her way to the top when a shrill voice screamed behind her —

“BAI ZHAN!”

Bai Zhan, who was supporting his younger brother, turned pale when he heard the familiar voice.

Someone in the crowd squeezed out and it was none other than Fang Qing.

She seemed to have lost considerable fat but that only made her look even more terrifying.

Behind her were her siblings, who seemed just as troubled as their sister, along with their parents.

“Bai Zhan! Ah, you bastard! You sold the entire land as well as the house and came to hide here, I will kill you.”

Fang Qing had her teeth bared and was about to pounce on her husband just as she had always done but before she could even touch Bai Zhan, Bai Meiyue reached out and kicked the woman on the chest.

“AHH!”

“Sister!” Brother Fang and Sister Fang rushed to help their sister up from the ground.

“Who are you?” Brother Fang glared at Bai Meiyue but at the same time, his gaze flashed with a lustful hint when he saw the slender and beautiful woman standing in front of him.

Why didn’t he know that the city had such beautiful women? If he had then he would have come to this city ages ago!

“That should be my line,” Bai Meiyue stated coldly as she looked at Fang Qing and her family with a wave of surging anger roaring inside of her head. Her head was drumming and she wished to charge ahead and kill these people except Father Fang.

Because he was the only one who tried to help her in the apocalyptic world but soon passed away because of his cowardice.

She coldly stared at Fang Qing and sneered, “Who are you to charge at my brother as if he owes you a million yuan? He sold his own land and property. Who do you think you are to yell and make a fuss?”

Fang Qing choked upon hearing Bai Meiyue’s words. She stood up with an angry look on her face and pointed at Bai Meiyue, “Ohoo, so you are that shameless bitch who slept with someone before marrying and then asked her brother to come and wipe her butt!”

“You dare ask who I am, you shameless bitch? I am your brother’s wife! By law, half of the property that he owned belongs to me and he sold it without telling me. And that’s not all; he abandoned me, his wife, to almost die!”
