Chapter 91: Refusing to hand in the supplies

“But—”

“Even if you go with me, nothing good will come out of it.” Bai Meiyue raised her hand and stopped the man from speaking. “Zhou Jinchuan is still hiding in the city and if you were to go against him, then he will definitely not leave your gang alone. Do you want to lose more of your underlings?”

Upon hearing this, Xie Yi hesitated but he still insisted, “Then we will hide outside the warehouse; as long as something goes wrong, you need to fire three times in the air and we will come to save you.”

As he spoke, he took out the small pistol that he carried with him and handed it to Bai Meiyue. “There is no need for you to take desperate measures, miss, if you realise that it’s impossible to steal the supplies.”

When Bai Meiyue heard the words of the man, her lips twitched in amusement. She knew very well whether it was impossible or not for her to steal those supplies.

Once the plan was decided, Bai Meiyue started to take action. She first got some talismans from the immortal witch in exchange for some skin care and then she used some of the jade jewellery to get her hands on a few miniature bombs.

All of these small weapons were stocked in the space pocket.

Finished with her preparations, Bai Meiyue climbed inside the truck that had most of the weapons and supplies stocked inside of it. Of course, she did not move anything because she knew that the people inside of the warehouse would first count the stock and only then release the remaining supplies.

As for whether or not they were going to honestly release the supplies. It was yet to be seen.

Xie Yi got into the truck with his men and then drove to the Zhu district. He used the path that was not flooded completely and arrived at the cliff where the factory was situated.

As soon as he arrived at the factory, he saw a bunch of zombies roaming outside the cliff and his heart tightened. In the end he did what Bai Meiyue told him to do and drove right into the bodies of the zombies.

And each hit was aimed in such a way that their heads burst open!

Flesh and rotten blood flew everywhere but it had to be done.

Xie Yi’s face had long turned blue and his lips were tightly pursed as if he was stopping himself from throwing up.

On the other hand, Xiao Wu, the sturdy man, could no longer hold on. He opened the window on his side and hurled everything in his stomach outside.

The sight of the rotting flesh sticking to the windshield of the truck was really a hideous and terrifying sight. A few eyeballs were also sticking to the mush of a fleshy pulp.

“Boss Xie, you are finally here. We thought that you were not coming here today,” the man who was hiding inside the warehouse, heard the sound of tires screeching.

He heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that Xie Yi had taken care of the monsters and smiled at the man flatteringly.

“Open the door,” Xie Yi stated without greeting the man. He noticed how Boss Lao was watching everything but he did not make a move to help them. He just waited until everything was sorted before stepping out.

Before this, he thought that even though Boss Lao was a bit arrogant, he never thought that he was this selfish but now that Xie Yi saw the true face of this man, he couldn’t help but be chilled.

Was this man waiting for them to die in the hands of the monsters so that he could take control of the truck and the supplies without handing anything in return?

The more he thought about it, the more Xie Yi felt that he was right in thinking so. He immediately turned wary and looked around the warehouse only to see most of the guards looking at them with a calculating look in their eyes.

Xie Yi’s heart suddenly tightened even further and he shared a look with Xiao Wu, whose face was grim.

It seemed like these people were not going to hand them the supplies willingly.

Sure enough, he heard Boss Lao say, “We will count the boxes of weapons and the content inside of them, Boss Xie. Till then why don’t you wait outside?”

Xie Yi’s lips twitched. If he didn’t already have a plan to counter attack these bastards, he would have fought with Boss Lao then and there. However, he looked at the thirty men with guns in their hands and nodded before smiling, “Alright. Take your time, Boss Lao.”

Once he finished speaking Xie Yi pulled the upset Xiao Wu outside the factory.

“Why did you agree with their boss? Are you really hoping for that woman to be able to deal with those men?” Xiao Wu asked in a low voice.

“Shut up,” Xie Yi looked back at the warehouse and stated angrily, “Do you have any other option left in front of you? Other than that there are more than thirty men standing on guard ready to shoot at the smallest provocation. If you don’t fear death then you can go ahead and charge, I will not be coming with you.”

Xie Yi’s patience had long been exhausted by Xiao Wu and his stubborn attitude. Not only was he worried about losing the supplies but also worried about Bai Meiyue, whether that woman would be able to deal with these many men or not, it was also a matter of worry for him.

And on top of that, he had to stand in the middle of corpse covered ground making his stomach churn. Fortunately, there were not a lot of zombies around this area or else he would have been a dead man for sure.

Now he could only hope that Bai Meiyue would somehow be able to get her hands on the supplies.
