Chapter 73: Worried Bivis
In the forest of Kora Village.
While William and others were still struggling for survival in “Azrael’s Tomb of Death,” an unexpected group arrived in the forest.
The rapidly growing forest had no chance to resist at the moment, as a vast open space was cleared in its center.
Knights clad in platinum armor, mounted on sturdy warhorses equally armed, relentlessly searched the area, seemingly looking for something.
Not far away, squads of soldiers were clearing the surrounding woods, a daunting task for guards like Childe, but nothing extraordinary for this well-trained army.
In the center of the forest, a flag with a golden lion fluttered in the wind as several armored men stood beneath it, discussing something.
“Captain Milaner, when we arrived, there was only the mercenary camp left here, but we didn’t find any trace of those mercenaries. We’re currently searching in all directions,” said Walsh, the captain of the first squad of the Golden Lion Knights, respectfully addressing the man surrounded by others.
This man, wearing golden armor, had a stern face with weathered lines showing the passage of time. Frost had touched his temples, but his robust physique and muscular arms reflected the terrifying strength hidden within him.
This was the leader of the kingdom’s first knightly order, Bivis Milaner of the Golden Lion Knights.
“Expand the search area, clear this forest entirely. We must find out what happened here!” Bivis commanded unequivocally, his expression calm and cold.
Walsh was somewhat surprised, but military discipline prevented him from questioning Bivis’s reasons. Instead, he respectfully performed a knightly salute and went to carry out the orders.
The people around felt the heavy pressure surrounding Bivis and dared not speak further.
Bivis’s adjutant, although unaware of what had happened to cause Bivis, usually calm and composed, to lose control of his emotions, still spoke up:
“Lord Milaner, the adventuring party you’re looking for probably isn’t in this area.”
Pausing for a moment and seeing Bivis tilt his head slightly, the adjutant continued:
“There are no signs of battle in the vicinity, nor any other abnormal conditions. I can only think of two possibilities.”
“The first, they discovered the cause of the anomaly in this area, tracked it and even left the forest, not even having time to clean up the camp.”
The adjutant shook his head, feeling this possibility was unlikely.
“The second, they disappeared directly from the camp due to some accident.”
“This possibility is more likely, involving spatial teleportation, dimensional overlap, divine projection, and so on. If that’s the case, it will be difficult for our knightly order to investigate.”
Listening to his adjutant’s opinion, Bivis furrowed his brows tightly, as he naturally had already considered these possibilities.
But if it were the second scenario, it meant that the situation facing Jason and the others was even more dangerous.
As soon as the palace received Jason’s distress signal through a special artifact, His Majesty immediately arranged for his trusted confidant Bivis to lead the elite Golden Lion Knights to the rescue.
William and the others had taken two days to travel, but Bivis and his men had arrived at the location where Jason and the others disappeared in just half a day.
However, the current situation left Bivis feeling somewhat powerless.
Even the current whereabouts of Jason and the others were unclear.
Hmph!
Bivis felt a bit restless. He rarely lost control of his emotions.
Harold’s youngest son was dead, and that was that. He was supposed to take care of little Hilda, not deal with this kind of danger!

If Jason were in front of Bivis now, Bivis might have given him a good slap already.
As the leader of the Golden Lion Knights, one of His Majesty’s trusted confidants, Bivis naturally knew the true identity of Hilda.
In fact, Hilda had been studying with Bivis for a long time.
Bivis had long regarded Hilda as his own disciple.
Although hailed as the strongest warrior in the kingdom, the first man under the legendary warrior, with the nickname “Fis’s Fierce Lion”, Bivis knew very well that he might not be able to break through that bottleneck to achieve legendary in his lifetime.
But Hilda could. Since she showed terrifying talent, she had been regarded as the kingdom’s most important treasure, secretly protected, with very few knowing her true identity.
To ensure Hilda’s smooth growth, the best resources and top-notch education of the kingdom were all invested in her.
Even her teammates for adventure were specially arranged or secretly evaluated, including William.
As long as Hilda can break through the limits and become the first legendary-level warrior of the Kingdom of Fis, then all the sacrifices will be worth it.
Therefore, whether from the kingdom’s interests or Bivis’s personal feelings, no one wants Jason to have an accident.
Without hesitation, Bivis immediately ordered his subordinates:
“Immediately send a message to the palace, report the actual situation to His Majesty the King, and request support from the Royal Mage Corps!”
“Yes!”
The nearby Golden Lion Knight immediately executed Bivis’s command.
Bivis looked into the distance, his face showing concern.
May the God of Dawn be above, hoping that Hilda is safe! –
Not long after, the support of the Royal Mage Corps arrived at the scene through a remote positioning teleportation array.
The one who came was the Vice Dean of the Royal Academy of Magic of Fis, and the Deputy Commander of the Royal Mage Corps, Lord Oddysseus Bloom.
Oddysseus had known Bivis for many years and naturally understood the special circumstances. He didn’t waste any time and immediately began investigating the scene.
With snowy white hair, but sharp and alert, Oddysseus quickly discovered the problem hidden in this space.
“There are traces of spatial folds in this area. There should have been recent spatial teleportation,” Oddysseus said, frowning.
“Is that so?”
Bivis suddenly became alert. Having a clue was good, so he quickly asked, “Can you track down the specific teleportation location?”
“This should be a teleportation array specially arranged by a senior mage. Their strength is no less than mine. Let me try first.”
Oddysseus didn’t make any definitive statements. With a gentle shake of his right hand holding the jet-black staff, invisible ripples spread from him to the surroundings, carefully probing this space.
At this moment, a sudden change occurred.
A large-scale distortion suddenly occurred in the space in front of Oddysseus and Bivis, and several figures suddenly appeared before them.
After a brief and familiar dizziness, William woke up and immediately reached for his head.
It was icy cold.
Fortunately, Angela had indeed come out with him.
Otherwise, the tomb would have been completely destroyed, and even with the dungeon crystal, William wouldn’t have been able to return.
But perhaps due to the recent exertion or maybe because she trusted William, the little bat Angela simply fell asleep on top of William’s head without making a sound.
Only then did William look around. Hilda, Jason, Elena and Lumbro were all here, and it didn’t seem like they had suffered any injuries. Lucky.
Suddenly, William noticed that the surrounding forest had disappeared, replaced by hundreds, even thousands, of well-equipped soldiers.
Two old men stood in front of him, staring intently in his direction.
What the heck is going on?
