Chapter 1153: Whiteness
In a pure blue control room, two figures sat on large throne like seats in the middle of the room. The sheer dominance they radiated stilled the air and froze breaths.

In front of them, four figures had sunk to their knees, bowing their heads so low they were inches from the ground.

It was odd.

These four figures looked every bit like the one who had attacked the military training camp in the past, Xal’zereth, a Zorvan. Only, they were bigger, broader, and had different shades of blue skin.

But that wasn’t the oddity. No. The sheer aura these four radiated dwarfed anything any of Eldoralth’s paragons had ever radiated. Even the race leaders.

And yet, here they were, bowing in front of two figures who looked like they could snap them like twigs with one hand.

“Useless.” Came the sweet voice of the female seated on the left. She looked every bit like a fairy of nature, greenish skin, a face so soft and tender she could be mistaken for the nicest woman in the world.

But her eyes… her eyes as she stared at the four Zorvans kneeling before them were cold enough to freeze oceans.

“You call yourselves the Four Kings, and you couldn’t even crush ants.”

The gravity pressing down on them intensified, and their heads closed the gap, touching the cold, germ ridden floor.

Their trembling worsened.

“W-we’ve come up with a new plan of action. After the cooldown is over, we’ll—”

One of them tried to explain, but the twin wasn’t having it.

“I didn’t ask you to speak.”

A force slammed down on the Zorvan, sending his body crashing into the ground. He tried to rise, but he couldn’t. The pressure was too much.

“Lysara.” The other twin finally spoke, his hoarse voice sending even more chills surging through the kings.

The woman, Lysara, turned, her eyes landing on the dull crimson ones of her twin.

“Kaelith, aren’t they useless? It’s better to just get rid of them,” she said coldly.

But Kaelith shook his head.

“They serve a purpose. And unless you’re ready to do their petty work yourself, stop this.”

Lysara frowned and sighed. “Alright.” She released her hold over the king.

Her twin had a point, there were billions of people confined inside the shield, and if their older brother’s words were accurate, then there was every chance they’d face their last born.

‘The last born had somehow killed Solren. We can’t underestimate him.’

Atticus wasn’t even in their thoughts. Monster or not, as long as he hadn’t become a god, he couldn’t be a threat to them. However, they still needed people to keep the orders in check while they fought the last born.

In particular, Atticus. Now that they had discovered his location, They wanted to prevent his escape, no matter what.

“I guess we can leave them to take care of the petty work,” Lysara said, sending a wave of relief flooding through the kings.

The Four Kings.

The Zorvan species was divided into four distinct groups, each one focused on a different aspect of mana:

The King of Dominion, Zorvans of control. Masters of mental and spatial manipulation.

The King of Ruin, Zorvans of destruction. Focused purely on offense, known for their devastating power.

The King of Genesis, Zorvans of creation. Focused on constructs and biological manipulation.

The King of Eternity, Zorvans of time and continuity. They specialized in manipulating time around themselves and others.

These weren’t the only aspects, and many, like Xal’zereth, had taken from more than one. But these four led the Zorvan world.

That was… until the crimson eyed, blue haired demons visited their world. The battle that ensued afterwards had been surprisingly simple.

Overwhelming power against ants. That was the best way to describe what had happened.

Now, they were nothing more than puppets.

“How long until the weapon recharges?”

“O-one hour,” one of the kings quickly responded.

“Tch. How annoying.” Lysara clicked her tongue, clearly irritated. They had only just arrived on the battlefield and wanted to attack immediately, but unfortunately, they had to wait for the weapon to recharge.

The twins didn’t speak again after that. They simply sat, waiting patiently, painfully, for the one hour to pass, and the carnage to begin. Lysara’s eyes focused on the blue dome in the distance, their target and her mind went through the chaos they were about to release.

She felt giddy. She couldn’t wait.

It came fast. And as soon as it did, the order rang out.

“Prepare to fire,” Lysara said coldly, before turning toward her brother. “Will you do the honors, or should I?” she asked with an innocent smile, as though she hadn’t threatened the kings barely an hour ago.

Kaelith sighed lightly. Then, without a word, he turned away and rose from his throne, and the temperature in the air seemed to drop.

His dull crimson eyes cut through the control room, locking onto the distant blue dome.

And in the next instant, the glowing lights of the control room vanished, replaced by an endless sky.

A single figure now hovered above the aegis shield, peering down with a kind of detachment that shouldn’t belong to any living being.

Behind Kaelith, a black glow began to pulse, dim at first, then rapidly brightening, before firing out in the form of a beam made of pure darkness, surging toward the aegis shield.

From within the dome, the alliance warships moved fast. Their hulls lit up as they opened fire, unleashing beams of pure destruction in hopes of intercepting the dark beam from the shield eater.

But Kaelith merely raised an arm.

The skies shifted. An endless whiteness erupted from his body.

It met the incoming beams, and in the next instant, every single one fizzled out, like a candle being snuffed by the wind.

The black beam surged past him… and struck the aegis shield.

Darkness swallowed the world.

And then, the aegis shield that had protected the last of Eldoralth’s inhabitants… shattered.
