Chapter 1162: Blue
A pig like figure with a pudgy frame walked calmly through a path of blue.

‘Damn, these folks really love blue, huh.’

Whisker gazed around the large hall with a battled expression. The pillars, the walls, even the ceiling, blue. He couldn’t help but wonder if he’d walked into some cult that worshipped the color.

‘Someone really needs to open their eyes to more colors. Hmm… could be a nice business venture.’

He scratched his chin, already cooking up ideas.

“Hue Hustle: Selling Color to the Chromatically Deprived.”

The tagline…

“We bring rainbows to your sad little skies.”

“Who are you!”

Whisker frowned, his tusks shifting slightly. He was starting to get annoyed.

The ones who’d spoken were Zorvan guards, stationed before a massive swirling portal that glowed ominously, also blue. No surprise there.

The guards were cloaked in blue from head to toe: blue skin, gleaming blue armor, even the straps and runes etched into their gear.

If not for their abyssal black eyes, Whisker would’ve assumed they were part of the damn building.

“You guys…” Whisker squinted. “What’s your deal with the color blue?”

“It’s a talking pig.”

“A pig?”

“Yes. Didn’t you study Eldoralth’s wildlife? It’s one of their lesser species.”

“I mean, we were going to erase them anyway. Didn’t see the point.”

“Are you really a Zorvan?”

“I am! I just prefer… interesting things over ugly little beasts like this.”

“You done?” Whisker’s voice was cold, almost lazy, but it swept through the hall like a winter gust. The guards flinched. Their eyes snapped toward the strange creature, whose calm, placid gaze unnerved them.

“By the way,” one of them asked, hesitant, “are the pigs supposed to be able to talk?”

“No.”

Silence.

The expressions of the guards darkened as realization came crashing down.

This hall, this space that served as a link to their world, was the most heavily guarded place in all of Eldoralth. And somehow, a talking pig had made it inside.

SHHHHK.

Weapons formed in the air with a hiss. The Zorvans raised their hands, mana crystallizing into swords, hammers, spears, even guns.

They aimed them toward the pig, who looked more like livestock ready for the butcher than a threat.

Still… there had been no sound of a breach. No alarms. No fighting.

Which meant, it had snuck in.

Their auras surged, ready to drown the hall in sheer force, but…

“Shut up and kneel.”

Whisker’s words were quiet. But the moment they dropped, an overwhelming pressure slammed the guards into the blue floor.

Click. Click. Click.

The faint sound of Whisker’s hooves echoed across the hall as he walked forward. The guards strained their bodies, trembling, trying to rise, but not a single one could move. Not even an inch.

He didn’t even look at them.

“Kill yourselves.”

Their black eyes widened in shock. But it was already too late. Their hands moved on their own, stabbing into their own chests and twisting. A gush of blue blood sprayed out of their mouths as their bodies slumped over.

Whisker clicked his tongue irritably.

‘Of course their blood is blue.’

He shook his head.

‘Well… can’t really blame them. Their god’s a real pain in the ass.’

The sound of bone crunching echoed through the hall as Whisker’s pig like frame began to shift and morph.

In the next second, four clinking steps became two firm ones.

A figure with blue hair, crimson eyes, and a handsome face stood before the swirling portal.

‘So this is the infamous portal, huh.’

Whisker had left the twins of Bloom and Blight to that monster of a boy, Atticus. He, on the other hand, was meant for a different kind of fight.

He had snuck into the Zorvan camp. Passed through their defenses. Reached their most important weapon, the portal linking Eldoralth to the Zorvan world.

While Atticus battled the twins, Whisker would battle their god.

He glanced at the fallen guards.

“Don’t worry. If I win, I’ll change your world. Bring in some reds, yellows… maybe a little teal. You know, teach your people the magic of variety. Call it… Operation Unblue. So, root for me, yeah?”

“…”

“Oh right. You’re dead.” Whisker chuckled, shaking his head.

Then he turned, demeanor turning icy. He stepped forward into the portal.

In the next second, Whisker clicked his tongue.

‘Even this had to be blue.’

He was really getting pissed now. Honestly, Whisker wasn’t even sure why he was facing his brother anymore. Revenge? Justice? Or… just to change this damn color.

‘I might have to dye my hair.’

These people had already ruined blue for him, might as well rid himself of it entirely.

A second passed, and the surreal feeling vanished.

Whisker found himself standing in a world… of blue.

‘I’m going crazy here.’

A blue grassland stretched endlessly in all directions. Tall blue buildings rose from the horizon. Blue creatures soared through the skies and scaled the lands.

Whisker shook his head.

‘Change. Change.’

But he couldn’t even take a single step.

Then a voice echoed out, one that wasn’t just in the air. It was the air. It was the world itself.

“Whisker… you’re here?”

Whisker smiled.

“Did becoming a god lower your IQ, Varnok?”

The voice went silent. Whisker’s grin only stretched wider.

Then, a few meters ahead, a blinding blue light ignited, and the form of a man took shape.

Tall. Broad. Blue hair and beard. Crimson eyes. He was clad in a pure black ceremonial robe, golden engravings woven into the fabric.

As he appeared, silence blanketed the world. The winds stilled. The creatures fell quiet. Even the trees and air stood motionless, as though the world itself bowed to his presence.

“Ah, thank goodness,” Whisker said with relief, eyeing Varnok’s black robes.

“I’m glad this obsession with blue isn’t your fault, Varnok. There’s still hope for change.”

But Varnok was silent. He stared at Whisker with a calm that screamed dominance. He didn’t even flinch at the jab to his intelligence.

“You’ve always loved to do pointless things, brother.”
