Chapter 1206: Clarity
It had been one month, and as expected, Atticus sat rooted on his spot on top of the hill.

The seasons had come and gone. Rain, searing heat. But one of the perks of being a god was that he was the world, and the world was him.

No rain dared come close. No heat dared feel hot. To the world, they felt each change, but to Atticus, it remained constant. The same.

Through this month, Atticus had focused on another part of his power. Now that he had absorbed all the cores and had become a god, it was finally time to focus on another aspect of his strength.

To this, Atticus had chosen his elements.

For a long time now, the majority of them, aside from the four basic ones, had been stuck at a level cap.

In the past, he had tried his very best to find the perfect combinations to merge them, but each time, he came up blank. He just hadn’t been feeling it.

No matter the combination he tried or the feelings he tried to impose, nothing seemed to work.

But after becoming a god, Atticus had resolved to figure it out. Now in Eldoralth, his brain’s processing speed could no longer be measured.

Every single one of his physical stats had reached the world’s peak. There was no one stronger than him. No one faster than him.

If there was ever a perfect moment to break through this bottleneck, it was now.

And surprisingly, the moment Atticus sat down and tried random combinations, he had felt something, a link, a connection that hadn’t existed before.

Atticus tried to understand what had changed. And soon enough, he figured it out. Only one thing had changed since then, his will.

He had found himself. He had found clarity. And it was through that clarity that, during this one month, Atticus had broken through the bottleneck in some of his elements.

In particular, the Light, Space, and Spirit elements. They had fused, and created a new energy.

The feeling that linked all of them had been clarity, the clarity he found when he awakened his true will.

He’d instantly put the new energy to the test. And after many trials and errors, he figured out its main function.

Unlike the fusion energy of the four basic elements that erased any matter it touched, this one was more ethereal.

In a sense, it transcended dimensions and purified existence. He discovered he could use it to phase through barriers, negate illusions, and more importantly, sever the connection between body and soul.

It had been perfect for bypassing the defenses of defense based enemies. A solid addition to his collection, and Atticus had been glad for the breakthrough.

Now, Atticus rose to his feet and turned his focus to the world.

‘It has recovered.’

A month ago, he had completed Magnus’s core and turned him into an Eldorian. Back then, he realized the process had caused a significant amount of mana to be lost from the atmosphere. Now, after a month, it had recovered.

Atticus sent a glance toward Zoey, then shook his head.

‘She’s not in dire status.’

He wanted to heal her immediately, but he also wanted to empower Eldoralth as much as he could first. In all honesty, Atticus knew he might just be giving himself an excuse.

Regardless, he disappeared and appeared in front of Magnus and Avalon’s training room.

Upon entering, he caught sight of them sparring. Well, sparring would’ve been the word if Magnus wasn’t beating the living daylights out of his son.

He barely moved, and every one of his movements was steady, precise. He dodged and punched, each blow landing clean, sending Avalon flying.

Still, Atticus couldn’t help but praise Avalon’s determination.

No matter how many times he was knocked back, he always came charging again, faster.

He released his presence, and the fight stopped. Father and son turned toward the god of Eldoralth, both wondering why he was there.

“Are you ready for yours, Dad?” Atticus smiled. But nothing could beat the wide grin that stretched across Avalon’s face in that moment.

The day passed quickly. And unlike during Magnus’s time, the training room was filled with screams and blinding bursts of light. Avalon couldn’t hold back the pain and called for rest at every chance.

He received many disappointed shakes of the head from Magnus, but Avalon didn’t give a crap. His entire focus was on getting through the torture that Atticus had decided to inflict on his loving father.

This was what Magnus went through? And he hadn’t made a sound!? Avalon was finding it hard to believe that was even possible.

The sensation of molten magma running through your veins was meant to make you scream. Anyone with the resolve to hold that in deserved all the praise in the world.

“Did you scream during the process too, Son?” Avalon had asked.

Atticus had held back his laughter. “Only on the first one, Dad.”

“Oh.”

It was his tenth trial. And Avalon had screamed through every single one. He cleared his throat after that, a bit embarrassed.

They continued the process, and just like that, another pillar burst through the ceiling and into the sky.

Another Eldorian was born.

After everything had settled, Atticus made his way back to his place of training. He had felt the dip in the energy reserve and resolved to wait another month until it recovered. The more Eldorians Eldoralth had, the better.

Still, Atticus had hit a problem.

‘Only paragons would be able to withstand the strain of merging with the cores.’

He had wanted to keep his strongest soldiers close, trusted. Because of that, he started with family.

Atticus was glad Magnus and Avalon had gone first. Now, asides from himself, his Bonds, and Whisker, they were the strongest on the planet. At the very least, his family’s safety was assured.

But the Ravensteins had run out of paragons.

‘With the world’s density increasing, many should experience a shift in their physiology too.’

In simple terms, Atticus expected many more to awaken greater potential. With the mana in the air still more than double what it was before, even at its temporary low, it was only a matter of time.

Atticus reached the spot and was about to sit. He froze.

‘Ozeroth.’

His expression turned serious. He had just felt some sort of shift from his bond with Ozeroth.
