Chapter 514: Chapter 514: The Cunning Terran, The Siege of Ten Gods!
Terran paused for a moment, considering the situation, before deciding to reveal his trump cards. Up until now, he hadn’t noticed anything suspicious about Boris.
Moreover, the contract they had just signed was crafted with caution. If Boris had any other malicious intentions or ideas against the Ashen side when he signed it, those thoughts would have been immediately wiped out by the power of the contract.
Thus, Terran was certain that even if Boris still had other hidden motives, they could not possibly be related to the Orichalcum Kingdom. The hatred and resentment Boris displayed were far too genuine to be fake.
Soon, Boris learned of one of Terran and his allies’ hidden cards. It turned out to be another powerful item from the upper realms.
It was a plain-looking golden shield. This shield could form a Divine Power barrier, capable of withstanding attacks from higher-level divine authorities while also absorbing and rebounding the force of those attacks. However, it was a one-time-use item—after activation, it would break apart.
All of this information was also learned by Sterl, who was deeply impressed. He couldn’t help but acknowledge that the established divine forces like Ashen had deep roots. Even a seemingly ordinary item could be invincible to gods of weak Divine Power levels.
“Given this, I propose that we split into two groups,” Boris quickly suggested. “I’ll lead part of the team to assassinate Hades and his followers, while the majority of you, under Mr. Terran’s leadership, will use Shielding Power to launch a surprise attack. Let’s aim to take down Eterna in one strike! That way, we might not even need to use the shield!”
Boris’s quick analysis sounded sharp, but in reality, these ideas were Sterl’s.
Terran was silent for a moment, seemingly deep in thought. Then, he gave Boris a long, scrutinizing look. “Hades is strong and shouldn’t be underestimated. Should we bring more people?”
Boris immediately shook his head, decisively rejecting the suggestion. “Hmph, he’s nothing more than a trickster. As long as we strike with Shielding Power in effect, we can severely wound him in one blow, and he won’t be able to retaliate. Besides, Eterna already possesses all three Sword of Doomsday Judgment. Hades has no chance of turning the tide.”
“Then it’s settled,” Terran said, without hesitation, and immediately began arranging the forces.
With Boris included, ten gods were assigned to deal with Hades’s group. The rest of the forces would carry out the attack on Eterna’s main army, based on the coordinates provided by Boris.
At Boris’s subtle request, the Goddess of Seduction was also added to the team targeting Hades. Her task, as she claimed, was to use her charm abilities to reduce the margin for error.
“Let’s go, victory will belong to us!”
Terran said, and through their unique communication channel, he instructed everyone to keep a close eye on Boris. Then, leading over twenty gods, he sped toward the coordinates provided by Boris.
This was the advantage of Shielding Power—with its protection, there was no need to worry about their presence being detected. They could fly at full speed, making it difficult for even gods to notice their movements!
“Heh, Hades, you’ll pay a painful price for your actions. You will forever regret what you’ve done!”
Boris threw a symbolic threat as he led the remaining nine gods toward Hades’s direction.
“The show is about to begin,”
Sterl, who had orchestrated everything, smiled expectantly. If things went as planned, both the Orichalcum Kingdom and Ashen would suffer heavy blows. He would emerge as a hero and savior of the Orichalcum Kingdom, and also the biggest beneficiary of it all. The thought alone made him excited.
“Mr. Boris, do you truly hate the Orichalcum Kingdom so much? According to what you’ve said, you only resent Hades and Eterna, but you’re also so disillusioned with your own kingdom?”
The voice of the God of Werewolves rang in Boris’s ear. He had joined the group targeting Hades, but he couldn’t shake the strange feeling he had about Boris. It was as though the powerful three-divine authority god before him had a strange, puppet-like aura.
However, Boris’s outburst of divine authority during his anger earlier could not have been faked. After all, they were all gods, and none of them were fools.
Still, the God of Werewolves remained suspicious. Moreover, Terran’s warning had made it clear that even he did not completely trust Boris. But with the stakes so high, and the fate of both factions hanging in the balance, even if there was only a fifty percent chance that Boris was genuine, it was still worth the risk. After all, they had Shielding Power—even if this turned out to be a trap, they could use the upper realms divine shield to block the attack and escape immediately.
“You don’t understand.”
Boris’s heart sank slightly. This beast covered in fur still doubted him. He darkened his expression and said coldly, “You don’t understand what it’s like. I’ve worked so hard for the kingdom for so many years, but in the end, I’m treated no better than some outsider who just joined. A kingdom like that doesn’t deserve my loyalty.”
The God of Werewolves paused. After a moment of reflection, he felt a touch of sympathy for Boris’s plight. He said no more, thinking perhaps he had been overthinking the situation.
Under the cover of Shielding Power, their speed was incredible. Before long, they were near Sterl’s location.
“Finally, they’re here.”
Sterl’s anticipation grew stronger as he watched the sword mark on his hand. He slowed his pace again, silently waiting for his prey to arrive.

Morette and the other gods were puzzled as to why Hades was moving so slowly, but they just shook their heads in resignation, not addressing it. They knew Hades’s personality—he was stubborn and free-spirited, perhaps even secretly flirting with Diana at the moment!
“Right there! Hurry!”
Only about ten miles away, under the protection of Shielding Power, the group easily made their approach. At this distance, they could clearly see their target with the naked eye!
Boris immediately pointed toward Sterl’s location, his eyes filled with the excitement and satisfaction of revenge about to be served.
The God of Werewolves and the other gods exchanged glances, silently nodding to each other. They then used their private communication channels to relay information to Terran.
“We’ve spotted Hades. We’re about to launch the ambush. Boris’s words seem trustworthy.
I haven’t detected any signs of other gods, unless they too have Shielding Power, but that seems unlikely.”
Upon receiving this, Terran’s tension eased. He had never intended to go to the coordinates Hades had given him. Instead, he had quietly followed behind them, preparing for the final precaution.
If this had truly been a plot from the Orichalcum Kingdom, his best strategy would have been to split them up, using the coordinates as bait to lure them in. Then, he would gather forces to destroy the smaller group. That way, a vast power disparity would emerge, and Orichalcum would secure victory.
Fortunately, his concerns were unfounded. It seemed that Boris had indeed betrayed them. This wasn’t the Orichalcum Kingdom’s scheme—it was their chance! A chance to eliminate their greatest enemy in one fell swoop!
“Let’s go! We can’t let them react in time!”
After confirming the truth, Terran wasted no time and immediately changed course, heading toward Eterna’s location.
“Heh, what an old fox.”
Sterl chuckled softly. He had to admit, Terran’s level of caution exceeded his expectations. Terran hadn’t trusted Boris at all and had been following them all along, preparing for any potential trap.
But what he didn’t anticipate was that Sterl had Map Modules—a tool that allowed him to track their every move.
Watching as Terran and his group veered off toward Eterna’s forces, he signaled Boris to begin the trap.
“These fools, they haven’t realized anything yet. No wonder Shielding Power is so powerful!”
Boris said, both excited and shocked.
“Of course, Mr. Boris. You won’t regret joining us. Our foundation is far stronger than you might have imagined.”
After receiving Terran’s confirmation, the God of Werewolves no longer acted aggressively or skeptically toward Boris. Instead, he seemed quite relaxed, watching the “unaware” Hades and the other gods in the distance, a cruel smile spreading across his face.
“Let’s go together! Strike while the iron is hot and take down Hades first!”
Under the cover of Shielding Power, with Boris leading, the group of ten gods quickly closed the gap to less than a kilometer from Sterl and his forces. For gods, that distance could be crossed in the blink of an eye.
Sterl, however, was slightly surprised. He tried not to rely on the Map Module and instead relied on his senses. Yet, he couldn’t detect the gods approaching. It was clear now that Shielding Power wasn’t just an ordinary artifact. It reminded him of his own Map Module—this power likely belonged to some special privilege within [Transcendence], or perhaps… it was the power of code itself!
“Kill!”
At that moment, the ten gods launched their attack, but Sterl was already prepared. In his Ascend to Godhood state, he immediately activated Temporal-Spatial Law. Even though the ten gods attacked in unison, Time Law—a power that transcended the lower realms—froze their movements for the briefest moment.
During that pause, Sterl quickly shoved Diana out of his embrace and shouted, “We’re under attack!”
He then activated his greatest level of Invisibility, vanishing into the shadows of the world. By the time God of Werewolves and the others recovered, they were left dumbfounded as they realized that Hades… had disappeared!
