Chapter 515: Chapter 515: Diana’s Sorrow, Fishing in Troubled Waters
“Damn it! He got away!?”
Boris howled in fury, his face contorted in a snarl, resembling an enraged beast ready to devour its prey. The next moment, he looked ready to lash out violently.
The God of Werewolves stood frozen, almost believing it was some kind of conspiracy or trap. But seeing no other gods nearby, and noticing Boris’s frantic expression, he quickly realized that Hades had truly vanished, slipping away right under the noses of the ten gods.
It was absurd, but just as Morette and the other gods were coming to their senses, they suddenly realized that Ashen’s gods had managed to approach them undetected.
“Those damn natives! How dare they attempt to ambush us! Kill them!”
“Isn’t that Boris? What is he doing on Ashen’s side?”
“What the hell! Did that bastard betray us?”
One of the gods was horrified and tried to send a signal to Eterna’s side, only to realize it was being blocked by Shielding Power, preventing any messages from going through.
“Where is Hades? Where did Hades go?!”
“Could he have been killed by these natives working together?”
The movements of the gods were all imbued with Divine Power, making them incredibly powerful. With ten gods acting in unison, they had already drowned out Sterl’s location, their chaotic Divine Power blocking any attempts to detect what was happening.
So, they were completely unaware of Hades’ current situation. However, deep down, they feared the worst.
Though Hades was incredibly strong and could take on four or five gods of the same rank, that strength was built on the premise of a direct confrontation or an ambush. But now, the one being ambushed was Hades himself!
Ten gods working together—no matter how powerful their Divine Authority, they would still be at risk of injury.
“Damn it! These damn bastards! And Boris, that disgusting traitor—he’s going to die too!”
Morette and the others were almost driven to madness. They had painstakingly recruited Hades, and now he was killed in a single blow? Hades had still possessed a Sword of Doomsday Judgment! Not only had they lost a top-tier fighter, but they had also lost a crucial trump card. How could they accept that?
“Let’s fight them to the end!”
One of the gods roared in fury, no longer caring about strategy. He charged straight at one of Ashen’s gods. Morette, meanwhile, summoned the Thunder Law, his body crackling with energy as he frenziedly rushed toward Boris, consumed with rage. He would obliterate this traitor, turning him to dust!
“Forget about it! Whether Hades is dead or alive, we need to suppress the others first!”
One of the Ashen gods spoke up, and immediately joined the fray. The God of Werewolves felt his mind spinning, confusion clouding his thoughts. But with enemies charging toward him, he had no choice but to fight back.
Now that Hades was gone, Orichalcum’s gods had one less powerful warrior. However, they still had Boris, the traitor with three Divine Authorities on their side. Their odds were high. Once they secured the battle here, they could shift focus and assist Terran, ensuring their victory was absolute.
The battle grew fierce, and all the gods were now fighting with everything they had.
Meanwhile, Diana, who had been pushed aside by Sterl moments earlier, slowly began to realize what was happening. She stared at the chaos unfolding on the battlefield, stunned at first. Then, an indescribable sense of sorrow surged within her. Her eyes quickly filled with tears, and they began to roll down her cheeks.
Her Hades… was he dead? Had he died for her, killed by these despicable natives, all of them working together to destroy him?
She stood frozen, unable to face the brutal reality. Her body trembled involuntarily from the overwhelming grief.
Though Sterl and Diana had only been together for a few days, that figure seemed to possess some kind of magic, filling her heart, which appeared strong on the outside but was actually empty and hollow, with an overwhelming presence.
At this moment, her mind kept flashing back to “Sterl”—his dominance, his playfulness, his tenderness… and the day he descended from the sky, stepping onto the rainbow-colored divine light, instantly obliterating the gods who had sought to violate her and rescuing her from the depths of despair. That scene still tore at her heart, leaving her in indescribable pain.
Gradually, a terrifying power began to gather within her. Her reddened eyes were shrouded in darkness, as the two Divine Authorities of Swamps and Archery swirled around her, activating with immense force. But at this moment, it felt as though a new power was awakening inside her, one she quickly seized control of.
This power was known as Sadness… and Destruction!
Of course, she hadn’t gained new Divine Authorities. Instead, she had tapped into the Laws associated with these two forces.

“I’ll kill you all… for my Hades… for revenge!”
She let out a roar as cold as the depths of the sea, her once gentle and graceful face now shrouded in endless frost. She looked like a god of sorrow, emanating an aura that struck fear into anyone who dared look upon her.
“Die, die, die, die!!”
Harnessing overwhelming Divine Power, she shoved Morette aside and launched herself into a frenzied battle with Boris. She was determined to kill this traitor with her own hands—this traitor who was responsible for everything that had led to this tragedy.
Morette blinked in surprise. When he realized it was Diana, he let out a soft sigh. Then, he shifted his fury to the other gods of Ashen.
Meanwhile, through the Shadow World, Sterl, who had already moved dozens of miles away from the battlefield, watched the scene unfold on his map module. He saw Diana, consumed by grief and rage, fighting Boris with an intensity that made him feel both pleased and conflicted.
It was, without a doubt, a source of pride to know that a goddess could feel such sorrow and madness for him. But at the same time, the deeper Diana’s feelings grew, the more it made Sterl feel guilty. After all, when he first approached Diana, it was with the intent to manipulate and possess her. He hadn’t expected her feelings to run so deep for him, and now he didn’t quite know how to face her.
While Sterl was troubled by this, the one truly suffering was Boris.
Having already activated the Follower’s Mark, Boris had become Sterl’s most loyal subordinate. So when Diana launched her berserk assault, he was at a loss, unable to speak his mind. After all, this was his Mistress. If he accidentally harmed her, his master would definitely flay him alive.
Reluctantly, Boris could only retreat as he fought, quickly pulling Diana out of the central area of the battle. If any careless fool harmed the Mistress, he would have no way to explain it.
At this moment, Diana gathered her Divine Power, drawing her bow and releasing an arrow. Caught off guard, Boris could only hurriedly defend himself, but the arrow pierced straight through his defense, causing him to cough up blood.
“Damn traitor! Coward! Trash! How dare you betray my Hades! I’ll capture your soul and turn you into a filthy wild boar!”
Diana continued her relentless assault, attacking with fury while tears streamed down her face. This sight caused Boris to feel a wave of grievance, but he couldn’t voice it. This wasn’t his fault—everything was part of his master’s plan, so how could he be blamed? He wanted to cry, but there were no tears.
Sterl shook his head. “Women are troublesome, even goddesses. Whatever. If worse comes to worst, I’ll just confront Diana directly. If she can’t accept it, I’ll activate the Follower’s Mark. I don’t have time to explain or comfort her.”
Although Hades’ personality had been deliberately disguised by him, it wasn’t completely far from his true nature—dominant! Forceful! He never accepted opposition.
Sterl then activated Blood of the Ancient One: Reforged, shifting his appearance and aura to that of a completely unfamiliar being. He also triggered the third function of the ability, concealing all of his personal information. This way, even gods wouldn’t be able to detect his true identity, and no one would be able to link him to either Hades or Sterl.
“Truly a perfect support ability.”
He muttered with a touch of admiration. “The Ancient One really does produce top-tier items.” He had lost count of how many useful items he had “acquired” from the Ancient One by now.
After doing all of this, Sterl activated The Power of Spacetime and instantly reappeared at the core of the battlefield. The battle had become utter chaos. Twenty gods were fighting fiercely, and the various Divine Powers in the air were completely disrupting the flow of energy. With Sterl hidden so deeply, no one had noticed the presence of an additional person on the battlefield.
At this moment, Morette was engaged in a fierce battle with a two-Divine Authority god from Ashen. Fueled by anger and divine empowerment, Morette was steadily overwhelming his opponent, raining down a barrage of deadly strikes as if they cost nothing. The Ashen god, enduring a storm of Lightning Judgement, constantly retaliated. In this state, it would take at least half a day before any clear winner could be determined.
“Heh, why don’t I lend you a hand?”
Sterl’s face lit up with a smirk of eager anticipation. Taking advantage of the brief moment when both combatants were gathering power, he appeared between them in an instant.
The sudden appearance caught Morette and the other god off guard. The aura that radiated from Sterl was unlike anything they had ever encountered before—a completely unfamiliar presence. Was this a new god?
“Who are you…?”
Before Morette could finish his sentence, Sterl immediately activated Temporal-Spatial Law, and simultaneously unleashed both Flowing Water Law and Dark Moon Law on the two gods. The force of the attack sent them both staggering back, their auras disturbed, and they couldn’t help but vomit blood.
As they tried to regain their composure, preparing to counterattack, they were stunned to realize that their opponent had vanished without a trace!
Both gods blinked in shock, their eyes wide with confusion. Could this be some insane person who had appeared out of nowhere?
In the meantime, Morette, still recovering from the shock, channeled his Thunder Law and hurled it toward the Ashen god. The Ashen god, now alert, quickly responded, and the two gods resumed their fierce battle.
Meanwhile, Sterl stood outside the battlefield, a grin of excitement on his face.
“The mark… it’s been placed!”
