Chapter 580: Chapter 580: Unmasked? But It’s Too Late!
At this point, it was no longer a matter of whether or not he could complete his plan. The stakes had escalated to the point where even his own life was in grave danger. And if he failed, the losses would be so catastrophic that the Ashen Temple might not recover for hundreds or even thousands of years!
“Impossible! I’ll make sure you die, no matter what!”
A whirlpool of complex emotions churned in Silver Moon Wolf God’s mind. On one side, Sterl had repeatedly thwarted his efforts; on the other, the Upper-Tier Divines of Orichalcum were about to descend. Then there was the huge cost of failure that could cripple him for centuries.
These thoughts hammered at his psyche, pushing him to the edge of madness. With a deep breath, he fixed his gaze on Sterl, roaring in fury.
He had already made up his mind. Since this fool was determined to stand in his way, he would eliminate him first! Once this Hades was out of the picture, even with just a tenth of a second left, he was confident that he could break through the Royal City’s defenses!
Having made his decision, Silver Moon Wolf God threw his head back and let out a long, mournful wolf’s howl. His body once again transformed into a Blood Crescent Moon, as though he intended to tear apart time and space itself.
Eterna’s heart tightened. He knew that the Upper-Tier Divine of the Royal City was about to descend—this was the final moment, and also the most dangerous. Silver Moon Wolf God was likely to go all out in a desperate frenzy!
He looked at Sterl, hope filling his eyes. This man had performed one miracle after another. Was it possible for him to pull off yet another miracle, even now?
Sensing Eterna’s gaze behind him, Sterl turned his head slightly. His expression was grim and dark, and he spoke slowly, his voice heavy, “Remember this: the debt Orichalcum owes me is growing larger and larger!”
He made a face as if he had been deeply wronged, then gritted his teeth, as if making a monumental decision. He turned his gaze back to the massive Blood Crescent Moon in the sky, brimming with terrifying energy, and shouted, “Come on! If you have the guts, just kill me!!”
With a sharp cry, he unleashed his full power. Destructive Light, Celestial Stars, Shattered Void, Fission Law… One by one, his abilities were released toward the ominous crescent above without regard for the cost, as though he were ready to sacrifice everything in this desperate battle.
But then, to his surprise, the Blood Crescent Moon suddenly flickered and became intangible for a brief moment, evading all of his attacks. And then, to his horror, it split into nine identical crescent moons, each carrying the same terrifying power, diving toward Sterl in unison!
This was Silver Moon Wolf God’s most powerful ability, Blood Moon Strangulation! It combined immense attack power, supreme control, extreme speed, and sustained assault, creating a formidable attack capable of repeatedly launching countless killing strikes. Each attack, though not as strong as Fallen Moon’s Death Ray, was sharper, faster, and better at piercing through the enemy’s defenses. When the ten Blood Moons worked together, the lethality was horrifyingly high!
Every one of Sterl’s attacks either missed or struck harmlessly, failing to create even the slightest ripple. In the span of a mere thousandth of a second, the ten massive Blood Moons arrived at Sterl’s side.
“Come on!! This is the strongest shield I’ve ever created, forged through countless near-death experiences, after pouring in all my heart and soul! I refuse to believe that you—this beast—can break it!!”
Sterl screamed with all his might, pushing his hands forward forcefully. The dazzling golden light, like a small sun, reappeared around him, but this time, it was more refined—manifesting as a protective shield, almost like a shimmering barrier.
Watching this scene, Eterna felt an overwhelming mix of emotions. It was supposed to be a war between Orichalcum and the Ashen Temple, yet it was Hades, an outsider, who was fighting so desperately, even sacrificing such precious trump cards. In his heart, Eterna silently vowed that once the war ended, he would secure the greatest benefits for Hades—even if it meant exhausting the Royal City’s entire treasure vault to compensate him for his losses.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The ten Blood Crescent Moons struck like blades of destruction, each hundreds, even a thousand meters long, seemingly aiming to cleave through everything in existence. The blood moons turned into a sea of afterimages, slashing at Sterl. The golden light shield that covered his body rippled violently, as if it was about to shatter.
With each strike, the power was enough to carve a massive canyon in the earth, large enough to make even multiple ordinary gods fear for their lives, with some potentially falling to their demise!
This was the true power of gods—the ability to destroy heavens and earth, to reshape the world. Nothing could withstand their might.
Protected by his Invincible Power, Sterl’s eyelids twitched. Though he knew the Invincible Power came from the [Transcendence] golden code and could not be destroyed, a part of him still felt uneasy. If not for his many trump cards, he knew he would have been split in half in one blow.
“No wonder they’re called Upper Gods. The destructive power they unleash is something that ordinary gods could never compare to. With my current strength, if I can’t directly strike and kill, I’ll have to avoid their onslaught for now.”
Sterl thought to himself with caution. The Silver Moon Wolf God had truly shown him the kind of power an Upper God could wield, and he couldn’t help but feel that he had gained a great deal of insight from this encounter.
However, in order not to appear too extraordinary, he controlled the golden shield around him, making it appear as though countless tiny cracks had appeared on its surface. He also deliberately made his expression look extremely pained, with blood covering his body and blood dripping from the corner of his mouth, as if he had reached his limit.
“Hahahahaha! What a joke! That so-called shield is nothing but flimsy paper!”
The face of Silver Moon Wolf God appeared above the Blood Moon, and upon seeing Sterl’s current state, he couldn’t help but laugh maniacally. He had been right all along—this so-called Hades was merely a lucky, ordinary god. He was no match for him, and now, it was finally time for Hades to die!
In the brief moment it took to speak, the Blood Moon unleashed thousands of attacks. Even Silver Moon Wolf God could feel the pressure; the cost was not insignificant. But as long as he could destroy this trash, it would all be worth it!
Immediately, he launched another fierce assault on Sterl, causing countless afterimages to appear. It looked as though Sterl was completely engulfed by a blood-red world, with lethal, spiraling attacks striking him every moment, squeezing the life out of him.
Watching from the sidelines, Eterna and the other gods felt an intense, crushing sorrow. They wished they could rush in to share in the pain with him, but they knew full well that even with all their power, they couldn’t get close to the Silver Moon Wolf God in such a state. All they could do was silently pray for Sterl.

What no one knew, however, was that at this very moment, Sterl was agonizing over how to properly disguise his condition. He had already made himself appear utterly battered, but it still didn’t seem enough to fool the gods. He was a far cry from being at death’s door.
He couldn’t help but sigh inwardly. Being an actor wasn’t easy—it was much harder than he expected. He had nearly given up and was about to reveal his true state, but for the greater plan, he decided to push through just a little longer.
With the protection of his Invincible Power, Sterl slowly began to make himself appear more and more miserable, as though he were on the brink of death.
Another second passed. The Upper God of Orichalcum was about to arrive. Only one more moment remained!
Silver Moon Wolf God was breathing heavily, his eyes fixed on the golden shield, which was on the verge of breaking. He couldn’t help but curse inwardly—why the hell hadn’t it shattered yet? Didn’t it happen the same way last time?
As he looked at Sterl, who appeared utterly battered, with deep bloodstains covering his body, and gaping cuts all over, especially a large hole in his chest, something suddenly clicked.
Wait a minute!
Silver Moon Wolf God froze for a moment, as if he had just made a key realization. Attacks made in Blood Moon form, even if the power penetrated the shield, shouldn’t cause these kinds of physical wounds. The damage he was seeing didn’t make sense.
Looking at Sterl, who appeared horribly injured but still had a calm and composed look in his eyes, it suddenly hit him. He had been tricked!
“Shit!!”
He cursed, realizing that this damn trash, Hades, was unharmed. The wounds and suffering were all a ruse to attract his attention, to delay him long enough for the gods of Orichalcum to arrive.
At that moment, Silver Moon Wolf God understood everything. He felt as if his heart had been trampled by a thousand raging beasts.
“Hades!! I swear I will tear you into pieces!!”
In his fury, he let out a roar. He couldn’t afford to focus on Sterl anymore—time was running out, and with less than a second left, he quickly directed the nearest Blood Crescent Moon, which was about to strike the Royal City, toward it with all his might.
There was no time to kill Sterl now. His last chance lay in destroying the Royal City’s fusion with the world. He had to do whatever it took!
“Oh? You’ve figured me out? How boring…”
Sterl smirked, his earlier feigned panic fading into calm as he observed Silver Moon Wolf God’s reaction. However, due to the distance and the chaos of the surrounding forces, Eterna and the other gods didn’t catch these small changes.
They still believed that Hades had been defeated and was now lying on the verge of death, with the Blood Crescent Moon aimed at the Royal City.
But Sterl knew he had run out of time to stop it directly. Instead, he had to find another way—he needed Silver Moon Wolf God to abandon his attack willingly and switch from offense to defense.
With a cold smile, Sterl turned his gaze back to Silver Moon Wolf God, his voice steady but cold.
“Let’s see, then. I’ll show you what’s more important—your life, or the destruction of the Royal City!”
He raised one hand and pointed at Silver Moon Wolf God, and instantly, a wave of tremendous destructive power surged through Sterl.
More precisely, the power surged from Sterl’s waist!
