Chapter 449: Chapter 449: Copying a Creator’s Skill, GBlasters
After what felt like countless trials, countless failures, Alex stood still inside the [Creation] space, exhausted, mentally worn, and out of ideas.

He had tested dozens upon dozens of skills.

Every theory, every inspiration, even some absurd combinations that bent the limits of logic, he had tried them all.

Nothing worked.

Either they didn’t activate, couldn’t form, or failed the crucial requirements of power and clarity.

This wasn’t a place where half-finished concepts were accepted.

You either had a fully realized skill or you walked away with nothing.

Or worse, you lost the scroll entirely.

And for Alex, that risk now loomed closer than ever.

He had only one idea left.

If this didn’t work, that would be it.

He stood in silence, breathing deeply as he closed his eyes and focused everything he had into a single, final thought.

It was a dangerous idea, one that even he had dismissed at first as insane.

But now, now that nothing else had succeeded and the pressure mounted against his chest like a vice, it was the only option left.

He pictured it in his mind, every detail, every curve, every pulse of energy it had released when he saw it firsthand.

Not long ago, during that surreal encounter at the end of the [Palace of Destiny], he had seen it in action.

Not just one, but several.

They had overwhelmed the battlefield like a thunderous storm of death.

He remembered it all.

And now, he used that memory as his blueprint.

A sharp glow lit up the space in front of him.

And when Alex opened his eyes again, a small grin broke across his face.

“Bingo,” he muttered.

…

Far away from the realm of mortals, in a place no ordinary being could ever reach, a massive, circular altar hovered in an endless void.

Suspended in the middle of that altar was a glowing orb, projecting a live feed of Alex’s every move inside the [Creation] space.

Surrounding it were five thrones, four of them occupied by a distinct presence, each radiating an unfathomable aura of power.

Their appearances were cloaked in shadow, only their eyes visible.

Each pair burned with a different hue, crimson, emerald, azure, and grey.

Just looking into them could send most living beings into shock or unconsciousness.

Their mere gaze held the weight of universes.

And yet, despite the immense presence of these four figures, there was a fifth throne, identical in size, vacant but still humming with authority.

But that absence lasted only moments.

Without warning, a dark rift tore open beside the fifth throne.

Shadows coiled outward, and from within the void, a tall figure stepped forth, Vexum, one of the [Creators].

“Oh?” the red-eyed figure spoke, voice deep and ancient, “You return so soon.”

Vexum gave a small smirk as he walked across the voided floor and sat on his throne with casual ease.

“I want to see what kind of skill the boy chooses,” he said, “I gave him the scroll myself, after all.”

“Curious,” a second figure rumbled, his form towering with pure mass, muscles bulging even beneath the cloak of shadows.

“Think he’ll actually create something worthy?”

“I believe he’s smart enough to play it safe,” came a softer voice, smooth and feminine.

Her green eyes shimmered as they focused on the projection.

“That would mean the skill won’t be too powerful, though.”

“He has to strike the perfect balance,” the blue-eyed one murmured, arms folded, “It must be detailed enough to work, but also ambitious enough to matter.”

“That is no simple task.”

“We’ll see if he manages it,” Vexum added calmly, resting his chin on his hand.

The fifth figure, the one with grey, ghostly eyes, remained silent.

But his gaze never left Alex.

It was steady, unreadable.

These five beings, silent watchers of all creation, were the true [Creators] of Universal Descent.

They were the architects of the system, the weavers of fate.

Even among gods, their power was unmatched.

And right now, they watched Alex, curious if the mortal before them could defy the odds stacked against him.

None of them expected him to succeed.

Even Vexum, who had handed over the [Skill Creator Scroll], believed that Alex’s chances of truly mastering the scroll’s conditions were under 0.01%.

Not a single entity had ever used it before.

Not in all the eons of Universal Descent’s existence.

Yet the moment the summoned object began to materialize, their expressions subtly shifted.

“What…?” the red-eyed one whispered.

“Oh, wow,” the feminine voice said in quiet awe.

“Impossible…” the muscular figure muttered.

“Hahaha!” Vexum burst out laughing, eyes wide with disbelief.

Even the fifth figure tilted his head slightly, a gesture that, while subtle, spoke volumes.

Before them, in the projection, Alex had successfully conjured something none of them expected.

A [GBlaster].

A skeletal cannon floated beside Alex, identical in shape and form to the ones Vexum had used.

Its jagged, flame-like edges, the gaping maw lined with sharpened teeth, and those menacing circular eyes, it was all there.

Alex had copied a Creator’s skill.

And not just any skill, but one of Vexum’s own. Perfectly.

For a long moment, none of them spoke.

They didn’t know whether to call Alex a fool, a genius, or something far stranger.

…

Back in the [Creation] space, Alex stood before his conjured [GBlaster], admiring its monstrous yet majestic form.

It was a floating cannon, hovering just like the ones he remembered.

That skeletal grin, that eerie presence, it matched perfectly. Down to the smallest detail.

“Looks just like Vexum’s,” he muttered, pleased that his memory hadn’t failed him.

But appearance alone wasn’t enough.

He needed to prove that it could function, that he truly understood its mechanics.

And thanks to what Vexum had shown him before, he had a basic idea.

He’d watched the cannons charge, seen how their beams built up over time.

He remembered the colors, the way the energy grew from faint blue to deep, dark purple.

He took a deep breath and gave the command.

[You are attempting to use “GBlasters.”]

The cannon’s mouth opened.

A small orb of blue light sparked to life inside, humming quietly.

“It begins blue… then slowly shifts to purple as it charges. After about thirty seconds, it hits the final phase,” Alex whispered to himself, eyes sharp, mind focused.

The orb grew in size.

It pulsed with power, shifting hues, intensifying.

But then something occurred to him.

A passing thought that triggered a wild, brilliant idea.

“If Vexum could summon dozens of them at once… then why can’t I?”

Without hesitation, Alex snapped his fingers, once, then twice.

Fwish! Fwish!

Two more [GBlasters] appeared at his sides.

“Yes!” he grinned, surprised but thrilled that it had worked.

Each of them began charging in sync with the first, their mouths glowing with that now-familiar energy core.

Of course, maintaining three of them at once required far more focus.

His body tensed. Sweat beaded at his brow. But his upgraded senses and divine willpower allowed him to handle it.

Time passed. The color shifted. Blue turned violet. Violet turned darker still.

And then, when the energy swirled into the deepest purple, he gave the final command.

“Fire!”

FWISH! BOOM!

All three cannons unleashed their beams simultaneously, and it felt like if it wasn’t for the fact it was made by a [Creator], the chamber would have exploded.

The ground trembled. The air cracked.

A blinding burst of destruction surged forward, obliterating the training dummy he had placed in the distance.

It didn’t just vaporize, it ceased to exist entirely.

Even Alex had to shield his face from the aftermath, staggered by the sheer force of the blast.

Despite being the caster, he wasn’t immune to the damage. Not fully.

Still, the result was undeniable.

“That… probably did billions in raw damage,” he thought, stunned.

But it worked. He repeated the test again. And again.

Each time, the [GBlasters] performed identically, charging, unleashing destruction, responding to his control.

He was convinced.

“Alright,” Alex whispered, “this is it.”

He took a breath, then spoke aloud.

“Confirm.”

Ding!

[Are you sure you want to confirm “GBlasters” as the skill you want to create and take for yourself?]

[Do note that this skill is insanely powerful, meaning the chances of you actually getting it are abysmally low unless you understand how it works perfectly.]

“I’m sure,” he said without hesitation, “Go ahead. It’s my final choice.”

Ding!

[Very well.]

The world around him began to blur, the light of the [Creation] space dimming, fading into black.

[You will know if you received the skill upon waking up.]

[Good luck.]

And just like that, Alex collapsed into unconsciousness.

But even as darkness overtook him, he couldn’t help but feel a spark of hope.

Because no matter the odds, he knew he had done everything right.
