Chapter 554: 217, Lin Mo’s first official meeting with Grand Xia officials_1
Lin Mo was indifferent to the money; for him, it had become a dispensable resource.
His personal wealth, if added up, could absolutely surpass the current world’s richest person by many times over, not to mention holding its own against families that had been in business for hundreds of years.
The key was that he had accomplished all this in less than four years.
Of course, most of it was thanks to the Intelligence System’s contributions, as well as a part of Lin Mo’s own efforts.
He said with a smile, “For you to earn so much money in such a short time is already very impressive.”
“As for my share, you don’t need to keep it for me; use it to develop your animation studio or to research and develop AAA games! Didn’t you say before that you wanted to make Grand Xia’s first real AAA game? How is that coming along?”
When it came to his dream, Zhang Yihua’s eyes instantly changed, and he seemed to have a lot more spirit.
He said excitedly, “The project is already underway, and we’ve finished the preliminary storyline. Now, everyone is working hard on making the first promotional CG for the game. It’s expected to be out after a bit more time.”
“It’s just a pity I can’t show you its splendor yet.”
Lin Mo used to be quite fond of playing games; back in college, he even participated in some gaming competitions. Although he wasn’t close to professional players, he was considered a pro amongst amateurs.
Unfortunately, ever since he dated Li Jinwen, Lin Mo’s mind had been focused on how to provide a better life for his wife and child, and naturally, he played games less and less.
Now, forget about playing; once, when Lin Mo had some free time, he went to an internet café, and the common ailment of men over thirty was fully displayed in him. He couldn’t even operate many of the games, let alone find one he liked.
After much effort, he remembered his old account and password, played a couple of rounds of PUBG, and found his control as clumsy as an eighty-year-old granny.
It could only be said that the sharpshooter skills of his youth had accurately hit his older self years later.
“No problem, there will be a chance to play.” Meeting an old friend made Lin Mo a bit reflective. He asked with a smile, “What’s the theme of the game? Have you come up with a name yet?”
Zhang Yihua replied, “It’s based on the Journey to the West theme, the one I once told you about. Our production team has reorganized the entire story and made changes, with an overall dark and gritty style.”
“I remember you liked playing ‘Fighting God’ a lot in college. The story and plotline resemble that. I guarantee you’ll love playing it.”
Souls-like games, eh?
Lin Mo was a bit nostalgic and said with a smile, “I’m afraid I can’t handle intense souls-like games anymore, but experiencing the storyline would still be nice. It’s a good theme, and I wish you blockbuster sales in advance.”
“It will be,” Zhang Yihua confidently said, then as if struck by an idea, he suggested, “How about you give the game a name? I haven’t completely decided on what to call it yet.”
“As our country’s first real AAA game, having a striking name is immensely important!”
The atmosphere of their chat was very relaxed, as if they were not in a police station but in an animation studio.
The others didn’t interrupt them, just sat quietly watching on the side.
“Naming it?” Lin Mo shook his head self-deprecatingly and said, “Old classmate, it seems you’ve found my Achilles’ heel. I’m not very good at naming things. How about you tell me a few names you’ve thought of, and I’ll help you pick one?”
“When it came to naming my son, my ideas were decisively rejected by the whole family.”
Lin Mo has a son now?
Everyone was somewhat surprised, and Zhang Yihua teased, “It seems that in all these years you’ve been away, things weren’t as bad as we thought.”
“I don’t even have a wife, and you’ve got both a son and a daughter. Congratulations!”
He initially wanted to ask about Lin Mo’s son’s name, but considering they were in a police station, Zhang Yihua didn’t want Lin Mo to reveal too much information.

Despite their pleasant conversation, every time Zhang Yihua thought about Lin Mo possibly being further interrogated, judged, and perhaps spending a long time in prison, he felt awful.
“Then you’d better hurry up, you need to work hard in both work and life.” Lin Mo also teased with a smile.
Just then, Bai Feng’s work phone vibrated. He was going to decline the call, but then he saw it was from the higher-ups of Rakshasa City.
Huh?
Bai Feng glanced at the time on the upper left corner of his phone’s screen and briefly estimated that the real bigwigs must have arrived at the Rakshasa City police station by now, and it was time for him to go out and greet them.
“Keep chatting; I’ll step out for a moment.” Bai Feng got up from his chair, glanced at the time and said, “You have at most another five minutes. Soon, I will have an officer take you out.”
“The three of you, don’t forget what you promised me before coming in.”
Zhang Yihua and the others nodded their heads, with complex expressions as they watched Bai Feng leave the chief’s office.
As soon as Bai Feng stepped out, he heard a notification in his earpiece: “Elder Liu is already at the entrance of your police station; all the city leaders are there. Hurry up and go greet them.”
Elder Liu?
Bai Feng pictured an elderly figure in his mind but felt that it couldn’t be possible.
In his opinion, while what Lin Mo had done was certainly outrageous, and he had specifically asked to see a bigwig, Bai Feng thought a city leader’s appearance would have been more than enough.
