Chapter 101: 6-Star Talent Upgrade

Lucius and his maids were staying in the nearby inn before going back to the academy via the teleportation platform.

Lucius had been given a month for his mission, and he finished it in less than 2 weeks, so he could somewhat play around.

Lucius glanced at Luna, who was standing in front of him. “Luna, come here. I want to discuss something with you.”

Luna tilted her head slightly, curious why she was called. “What is it, Master?”

Lucius leaned back in his chair and smirked. I want you to stay here.”

Luna blinked as she was surprised by it. She glanced back at Lucius. “What do you mean, Master?”

Lucius clasped his fingers together and glanced at Luna. “I know that the Garran family was once your family.”

He then raised his head. “And because of those modifications I added to the Storm Hawk… in three months, they will descend into chaos.”

Luna nodded as she was the one that suggested the modification that was put inside it. “Then.. why do you want me to stay here, Master?”

Lucius then continued. “I’ve heard from locals we passed on the way here that in eighty-five days, there will be a competition in this region—a perfect stage.”

Lucius then smirked. “I want you to make your new name known here, Luna.”

Lucius then opened his arms wide. “Become more than a shadow of your past. Witness firsthand the destruction of the Garran family—the very people who were your nightmare.”

Luna began to smirk after hearing it. She was quite interested in it. Destroying her own family that had sold her to slaves. What good revenge!

Lucius stood up and walked to her, putting his hand on her shoulder. “In conclusion, I want you to rid yourself of your bad past as Sadrina and be reborn as Luna.”

Luna swallowed and raised her chin. She glanced at her master in the eyes. “I understand, Master. But…”

Luna then looked down and turned her head. “It seems that I am still too weak. My only beast is Liora, and her existence as my tamed beast remains… a secret.”

Lucius smirked and tightened his grip on Luna’s shoulder. “Don’t worry about that. I will ensure you have the strength you need. I do not send my subordinates into a battle they cannot win.”

Lucius could say that because his points were a lot. He turned to look at his current hack points that he currently had from absorbing the materials from the Garran’s treasury.

Lucius frowned, looking at the expensive cost. He tapped his finger once against the table.

“Two hundred million hack points. It’s a lot but thankfully, I have a lot of points.” He murmured and smirked.

Luna was curious about what Luicus was planning. She stepped closer and asked, “Master, what are you planning?”

Lucius turned his attention back to her and smirked. “I’m going to make you a 6-Star Moon Goddess, Luna, so you can advance to 4-Star tamer. ”

Luna blinked as she was surprised by it. “6-Star?” she repeated. She composed herself and said, “But Master. That… that level of talent—”

Lucius raised his hand to silence her. “Just take it, but I will warn you… this process will be… painful. But it is necessary. You can endure it, can’t you?”

Luna nodded and said. “Of course I can. I would never falter in front of you, Master.”

Lucius nodded in satisfaction and smirked. “Good. System, execute the upgrade.”

The moment Lucius issued the command, Luna’s confident expressions twisted slightly as a sudden, overwhelming pressure gripped her.

Her entire body stiffened, and she stumbled slightly, clutching her chest as if struggling to breathe.

Her smirk vanished, replaced by tightly gritted teeth as waves of searing pain coursed through her.

Liora was shocked seeing Luna and tried to help her. “Luna! Master, what’s happening to her?”

Lucius stopped Liora. “Do not interfere. She needed to endure this to become even stronger.”

Luna dropped to one knee, her breaths coming in ragged gasps as her entire body seemed to tremble.

Sweat formed on her brow, and her silver eyes flickered with both agony and an unyielding resolve. Yet, even in her pain, she made no sound—no scream, no cry.

Lucius stepped closer to her. “Endure it, Luna. This is the price of greatness. Show me your strength.”

Luna’s teeth clenched tighter and she lifted her head to look at Lucius. “I… I will not… break,”

Five agonizing minutes passed before the pressure finally ended.

Luna’s body relaxed slightly, and she fell forward onto her hands, her chest rising and falling heavily as she gasped for breath.

Lucius crouched down in front of her and smirked as he was satisfied. “We’re just getting started, Luna.”

Luna looked up at him and smiled. Despite her pain, she still wanted more. “Then let’s keep going, Master. I’m ready.”

Lucius stood and looked at Luna. “That’s the answer I expected. Let’s continue to make you stronger.”

Lucius then took some of the 3-Star Beast Rings that he had in his Eternal Vault.

“Now then… What kind of beast would best suit you, Luna?” Lucius said while playing with some of the rings in his hand.
“It needs to be something fitting—something powerful yet refined. I can’t simply give you any ordinary beast, now can I? That would be an insult to my own standards.” He chuckled.
“But all of the beasts that I made are all powerful, so which one do you want, Luna?” Lucius asked.
Luna, who was still lying on the floor, smirked and began to say what beast she wanted.
