Lucius and Liora had arrived at their residence at the golden complex. Lucius turned to Liora.

“Luna has already become a 4-Star tamer. It’s time for you to ascend as well.”

Liora’s ears twitched. She turned to Lucius. She nodded and curled her claws in anticipation.

“I’ve been waiting for this moment, Master. Whatever you command, I’ll see it through.”

Lucius folded his arms and smirked. “Good. Then let’s not waste any time.”

Lucius turned to the system. “Show me the evolution options for Liora.”

Lucius was surprised as he scanned the list. “What is this? A Beastman… evolving directly into a human?””

Lucius rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “This changes everything that I know.”

Licius stood and paced back and forward. “I knew the Beastman paths were varied, but to think their evolution could lead them to be humans. The ones with talents even.”

Lucius turned back to the system. He scanned the human evolution options. He saw the level of talent he could give to the human.

He smirked. “Interesting. So this is the tier of beast-taming talent in this world.”

He looked at the cost beside the strongest talent, the Goddess Talent and frowned. “It was so expensive. It seems that the system counts the price for the 3-Star one and the 6-Star one.”

Lucius then tilted his head as he thought something. “But still, what exactly does it mean? I and Luna had God-level talent but I haven’t sensed the difference at all.”

Lucius chuckled. “It seems that I was currently too weak to sense the real power of God-level talent. For now, I’ll leave this unanswered.”

He turned back to the list. He tapped his foot against the floor, thinking about the options. “The Beastman evolutions are practical. It enhances her overall stats.”

He stopped and turned to the human list. “But the human paths… it will change them entirely and give them a talent to tame beasts. But the downside is they are not strong anymore.”

Lucius then turned to Liora. He was going to ask her what she wanted to do. Evolving into a beastman with power or human with taming talent.

“Liora, I have something important to discuss with you. This isn’t like our usual decisions. For this, your input is crucial.”

Liora tilted her head and flicked her tail in confusion. “My input, Master? You’ve always chosen the strongest path for me. Why is this time any different?”

Lucius glanced at her and became serious. “Because the options before us aren’t as simple as power or strength. There’s more at stake—more possibilities.”

Lucius stepped forward and spread his hands. “You have two choices. The first is the familiar path: evolving further as a Beastman.”

“This will enhance your raw power and refine your natural abilities, making you an unparalleled fighter.”

Lucius let Liora understand it first. “But the second option… it’s different. You can evolve into a human.”

Liora took a half-step back in shock. “Human? Master, are you saying I can become human?”

Lucius nodded and smirked. “Not just human. You could even gain a beast-taming talent like other humans.”

Liora stared at him. She clenched her fists as she processed his words. “Master… I didn’t even know such a thing was possible. To go from Beastman to human.”

Lucius stepped closer and warned her. “Before you decide, let me explain the trade-offs. This is no simple choice.”

He explained the trade-offs. “If you choose to remain a Beastman, you will become stronger like usual. But you cannot tame any beasts.”

He let the words sink in before continuing. “If you choose the human path, you gain the ability to tame beasts. But you will lose your current power and become weak like me and Luna.”

Liora stepped forward. “I see. So it’s a choice between being strong alone or commanding strength through others.”

Lucius nodded. “Exactly. So, tell me, Liora. Which path will you choose? Beastman power or human mastery?”

Liora didn’t hesitate. She flexed her claws for one last time and met Lucius’ gaze head-on. “Human Master. That’s the path I choose.”

Lucius raised his eyebrow. He was impressed by her decisiveness. “Oh? And why is that, Liora? I expected you to lean toward the Beastman evolution.”

Liora smirked and explained it. “Because, Master, as a human, I can tame beasts. I can become like Luna—not just strong, but versatile.”

Liora explained more. “The Beastman evolution would make me strong alone, but the human path would give me a different kind of power. A smarter kind of strength.”

She crossed her arms and retracted her claws. “And besides, Master, you’ve created equipment that can make even the weakest Tamer into something formidable.”

She kneeled in front of Lucius. “With your resources and guidance, I know I’ll become stronger than I ever could as a Beastman.”

Lucius chuckled. His smirk grew wider. “Good reason, Liora. You never fail to surprise me.”

He turned back to the system. “Then it’s settled. We’ll begin your evolution to human.”

Liora stepped forward. She extended her claws and stared at them. She also flexed her fingers to see them for the last time.

Her tail was swaying behind her. She reached back and felt her soft tail for one last time.

“These claws have protected me. Fought for me. Served you, Master. And this tail… it’s been a part of who I am, a symbol of my nature as a Beastman.”

She paused and curled her claws into a fist. “But none of it matters now.”

She turned to Lucius. She stepped closer and kneeled. “I’m ready, Master. Let’s start. It’s time to leave this part of me behind and step into something greater.”

Lucius smirked. “Good. You’ve made your choice. Let’s see how far this new form will take you, Liora.”

Lucius turned to the system and smirked. It was time for Liora to become something new.
