Chapter 139: Lucius Sets The Trap
Lucius looked at Luna and smirked. “Let’s see what’s contained in their brain. Luna, took them out.”
Luna stepped forward and smirked. She took out three boxes that were filled with three brains. She placed them on the table and turned to Lucius. “Here they are, Master.”
Lucius leaned in and opened the box. He smirked as he turned to the system. “Hack these brains and extract their memories directly to me.”

Liora stood nearby. She folded her arms and was expressionless. “Their secrets better be worth it.”
Luna stepped back and turned to Liora. “They will be, Liora. They are ordinary people, so their secrets will be worth it for us.”
Lucius then gripped the table’s edge. He gritted his teeth as the pain shot through his head as the memories were being transmitted to him.
A moment later, Lucius smirked as he got what he wanted from them. “It’s done. Their memories are mine.”
Luna tilted her head. She was curious about what her master found. “What did you find, Master? Is it interesting?”
Lucius turned to her and smirked. “They are trying to gather legendary materials of the Red Dragon.”
Liora was a bit surprised and stepped closer to Lucius. “A Red Dragon? Just hearing the name… it’s clear this isn’t an ordinary beast.”
Lucius turned to her and smirked. “Of course it is. It is a dragon after all. From what I get, their mission is to gather all of the Red Dragon materials so they can get the Red Dragon Blessing.”
Luna turned to Lucius. “A blessing, huh? Sounds like a dramatic way of saying unimaginable power. What exactly are they after, Master?”
Lucius chuckled. “That remains a mystery for now. These were only elite pawns. They were used as assassins and thieves.”
Lucius turned to the brains. “They weren’t meant to know the full picture or even the structure of the group.”
Liora crossed her arms. “Pawns, huh? That’s all they were? Then someone else that is higher than them is pulling the strings.”
Luna tilted her head and smirked. “From what I see, they are desperate. If they’re going to this length for a so-called blessing, it must be more than just a legend.”
Lucius only smirked and turned to Luna. “Take out the material that they were targeting. I am curious about how legendary it is.”
Without hesitation, Luna took out the spatial ring she had taken from Blue Flare. She then took out a small vial from the spatial ring and put it on the table. The liquid inside the vial was red and hot.
Lucius leaned closer. For a moment, he said nothing. Suddenly he was surprised and soon smirked. “Interesting. This aura is too familiar.”
Luna tilted her head. She was curious about what Lucius was talking about. “Familiar, Master? What do you mean by that?”
Lucius took the vial and smirked. “This vial had the same aura as the mysterious scale that I found in Garran’s Treasury.”
Luna was a bit surprised. She stepped closer and turned to the vial in Lucius’ hand. “If that’s the case, why not absorb it like the scale, Master?”

Luna smirked as she began to explain her plan. “Master can just absorb it but not all of it. Just leave enough for it to retain its color and aura.”
Lucius was surprised by her plan, but he was also interested in it. “Oh, that’s quite a unique plan. But why would I leave any of it untouched?”
Luna smirked as she gestured toward the vial. “It was to bait them, Master. If this is what they’re chasing, we give them something to chase.”
Luna pointed her finger at her head. “They’ll think that they have obtained what they needed. But in reality, they’ll only be walking into our trap.”
Lucius chuckled. He was amused by Luna’s plan. “Clever. Your plan basically made them think this essence was still good even though it was not anymore.”
Lucius then looked out at the window. “Also, seeing that this group of thieves failed, they surely will send more thieves to retrieve this. Even though they got it, it will not affect us at all.”
Liora, who had been silently observing, crossed her arms and smirked. “It’s a good plan, Luna. It keeps them distracted, leaving us the chance to expose who they are.”
Lucius glanced between them and smirked. “Well then. Let’s not waste time anymore.”
Lucius turned to the system and smirked. “Begin the absorption. Extract most of the blood essence, but leave enough to maintain its color and aura.”

The blood essence inside the vial began to change, but the changes were not visible. To other people, this vial looked the same as before.
Lucius smirked as he looked at his hack points. He smirked as he got another jackpot. His hack points had been filled by a lot.
Lucius then turned toward the vial again and smirked. “Perfect. The bait had been set.”
Luna stepped forward and studied the vial. “It doesn’t look any different. The color, the aura. It’s flawless. They won’t suspect a thing.”
Lucius turned to Luna and smirked. “That’s what your plan is, right? They’ll think they’ve found exactly what they’re looking for. But too bad for them. I have already absorbed most of it.”
Liora crossed her arms and looked at the vial. “So what’s next, Master? Do we wait for them to come, or do we take the vial to them?”
Lucius smirked as he turned to face them both. “We follow the plan. Let them come to us.”
Luna tilted her head and smirked. “And when they do come. What will we do, Master?”
Lucius stepped closer to the table and smirked. “When they come, we will follow them back to their base. It’s easy to follow plan.”
