Chapter 151: Zerath’s Perfect Escape?
Ragnar and Savra had sensed the direction the thief had fled, so they immediately took off to chase after him.
Lucius wasn’t far behind. He was now riding Leon, Liora’s White Flame Lion. His maids, Liora and Luna, were also riding with him.
Leon had also grown massive since he evolved into a 5-Star beast. It was now large enough for all three of them to ride comfortably.
Despite Leon’s incredible speed, Lucius noticed something strange. Even with Leon’s incredible speed, they were having trouble keeping up with Ragnar and Savra.
Lucius glanced ahead and frowned. Ragnar and Savra weren’t riding or fusing with any beasts. They were moving at an incredible speed with only their physical bodies.
Savra noticed Lucius’s confusion and smirked. She glanced back at him. “Impressive, isn’t it? This is the power of a 7-Star Tamer.”
Lucius was surprised after hearing that. “Wait. Both of you are 7-Star Tamers?”
Savra nodded and smirked. Ragnar, who was ahead of her, chuckled but didn’t turn around. “You didn’t know? Looks like you still have a lot to learn, Lucius.”
Lucius furrowed his brow. He was trying to comprehend what he was seeing. “But… how can you move so fast without riding beasts or using fusion?”
Savra’s smirk didn’t fade. “We don’t have time to explain it fully, but I’ll just say this—once you reach 7-Star Tamer, you gain the ability to train and enhance your body.”
Savra gestured toward her own body. “Our strength and speed aren’t just from beasts—they come from our own physical training.”
Lucius processed this new information quickly, nodding. “I see. So that’s why you can move like that.”
Savra chuckled softly. “We’ll talk more about it later. For now, focus. We need to catch him and find out where their base is.”
Lucius smirked faintly. “Understood. Leon, faster!”
Leon let out a low roar. He began to push himself harder. Although he was faster now, they were still slightly behind Ragnar and Savra. They were still trying to close the gap.
Lucius also began to smirk again after he thought of 7-Star level. “7-Star Tamers, huh? So that’s the next level… It looks like I have something new to aim for. But first, let’s catch this thief and find out what’s really going on.”
With that thought, the chase continued. The tension began to rise as they began to close in on their target silently.
—
At dawn, Zerath was running through the forest. Despite the fatigue from the night’s events, his smirk remained intact.
Earlier, around 3 or 4 a.m., he had executed his plan perfectly. He had set the fire at the auction house while most of the people were still asleep or barely awake.
Even though the area had been crowded, the fire created enough confusion and chaos to delay their response.
Just as he had planned, the flames spread quickly, forcing everyone to focus on putting out the fire rather than guarding the items.
With everyone distracted, stealing the Red Dragon Blood Essence had been easy. No one had noticed him slipping into the hall amidst the chaos.
Before anyone could realize what was happening, he had already escaped into the night.
On his run, Zerath glanced over his shoulder one last time. The area behind him was quiet.
He couldn’t see any signs or sounds of people that were chasing him.
Because of that, he grinned as he thought that his plan had succeeded. “No one’s following me. It looks like I pulled it off perfectly.”
He looked at his spatial ring that held the Red Dragon Blood Essence vial. Another legendary material in his group’s possession.
Zerath smirked again as he resumed running. “Another legendary material for us…”

Zerath then thought back about the fact that he didn’t leave any trace. “They didn’t even know what hit them. By the time they figure out what happened, I’ll be long gone.”
Zerath was now confident that his mission was a success. Zerath pressed on as he was eager to return to his group’s hidden base and deliver the precious material.
—
Lucius and the others moved swiftly through the forest, their senses on high alert. After hours of pursuit, the dense foliage began to thin, and the terrain around them changed dramatically.
The air grew hotter, thick with the scent of sulfur, and the ground beneath their feet became rough and rocky.
Before long, they emerged into an open area near the base of a towering volcano. The heat was intense, and faint streams of steam hissed from cracks in the ground.
Ragnar smirked. “I never thought their base would be near a volcano—just like ours. It seems we’re not the only ones drawn to places like this.”
Savra scanned the area carefully. “It seems this really is their base. Given that they’re after Red Dragon materials, it makes sense. Maybe their members are all flame-elemental Tamers.”
Lucius, who was riding on top of Leon with his maids, shook his head. “That might be true for their leaders.”
He then raised his hand and smirked. “But if you remember, the assassins and thieves we encountered before weren’t using flame-elemental beasts. Most of them had shadows or other elemental types.”
Savra frowned slightly, considering Lucius’s observation. “You’re right. That would mean…”
Lucius smirked faintly, cutting in. “It would mean that while their leaders might be focused on flame-based materials, they don’t limit their operatives to a single element. They probably recruit anyone who’s strong or useful, regardless of their beast type.”
Ragnar chuckled, clearly unconcerned by the details. “I don’t care about what elements they use. What I care is that we find them, see who they really are, and crush them.”
Savra smirked faintly at Ragnar’s bluntness but didn’t disagree. “Fine. But let’s not rush in blindly. We need to be careful—if this is their main base, they’ll have defenses.”
Lucius nodded. “Agreed. Let’s move carefully. We’re close, but we don’t want to alert them until we know exactly where they are.”
With that, the group continued forward. If this really was the headquarters of the mysterious group, then soon Lucius would finally uncover the identity of their leader—and the full extent of their ambitions.
