Chapter 155: Luna’s Gamble Pays Off
Luna kept walking deeper into the hallway. She didn’t know what this place was, but the further she went, the more her curiosity grew.
She then stopped abruptly, as in front of her stood a huge metal door. It was cold and imposing.
She placed a hand on her hip and frowned. “How the hell am I supposed to get in here?”
There didn’t seem to be any obvious way to open it. There were no handles or even any visible mechanism. It was clear that this wasn’t just any ordinary entrance.
Luna also glanced around once more and knew that no guards were stationed here. “No wonder they don’t station any guards here.”
Anyone without a way to bypass it would be stuck outside, wasting time and effort trying to force it open.
For a brief moment, she considered turning back. “Maybe I should regroup with Master.”
But the thought of leaving without even knowing what lay beyond was killing her. She was already too far to go back now.
Then, an idea appeared in her mind. She began to smirk. “I can handle this. Let’s see if this works.”
She immediately fused with Loxen. Her body immediately became a shadow panther beastman.
She began to meld into the surrounding shadows. She then moved toward the door and tried to slip through a narrow crack at its base.
Like the shadow that easily passed it, she did it effortlessly without triggering any alarms or defenses.
On the other side, she reappeared. She began to defuse and glanced around. She was satisfied with her new move. “That was easy.”
The room she had entered was large. It was far larger than she had expected. It was dimly lit, but she could see some shelves and strange devices.
She began to move forward and smirked. “Now, let’s see what this place really is. I hope it’s worth all the trouble I go through.”
—
Luna moved silently through the large room. She tried to find anything that could be useful for her.
But as she continued to explore, her initial excitement faded. “This is just a warehouse.”
The shelves around were packed with crates and supplies. They were weapons, raw materials and food rations.
The only info she got from here was that the group was not a small one but instead a big organization.
Luna frowned as she stopped near a stack of crates. There were no documents or maps. There were just supplies. “Nothing useful here.”
While she knew that the organization was pretty rich, looking at how big the warehouse was and how many the supplies were, she didn’t want this kind of information. She wanted a better one.
She crossed her arms and frowned. “I was wrong. This isn’t what I was looking for.”
For a moment, she debated with herself whether to keep searching or leave and find another room to spy.
But after a quick glance around, she knew it would be a waste of time. There was nothing here that would help them.
She began to go to the exit door and muttered. “I hope Liora and Master found something better.”
As she was walking back toward the door, something caught her eye. A small detail that didn’t fit with the rest of the warehouse.
The shelves around her were neat. Everything was meticulously arranged. But there was something odd about the shelf at the far end of the hall.
Unlike the others, it wasn’t as clean. A thin layer of dust covered most of the surface, except for a particular statue placed on one of the middle shelves.

The statue’s surface looked slightly worn and off-color, as if it had been touched or moved frequently.
Luna walked toward it cautiously. She tried to examine it more closely. “Strange. This is definitely out of place.”
Without hesitation, she reached out and grabbed the statue. She tried to lift it, but it didn’t come off the shelf.
She then tried to shift it slightly to the side and something clicked. She could hear a faint rumble.
The entire shelf began to slide open and reveal a mysterious hidden passageway behind it.
Luna smirked as she snapped her fingers. “I knew it. There was something here after all.”
Without wasting time, she stepped into the passageway. The dim glow from the warehouse faded as she moved deeper into the tunnel.
She smirked. “Let’s see where this leads. Master will be pleased if I find something important here.”
After a long, silent walk through the dim passageway, Luna finally reached its end.
The place she arrived at was not big but also not small either. It was a small chamber that looked like part warehouse, part office.
The shelves here were filled with various items and materials. A simple wooden table and chair were also put in the middle. Unknown papers and documents were also scattered around it.
Luna smirked as she realized something. She stepped into the room and laughed. “Jackpot.”
She looked at the papers. “There must be some good information here.”
She also turned toward the shelves. “These items aren’t bad either. Instead, they are quite good.”
Without wasting time, she moved quickly and swiped the materials from the shelves. She put them all into her spatial ring.
Anything good that pleased her eyes went in. Rare minerals, few sealed vials, weapons, etc. Anything she deemed used, she would take.
She looked at her spatial ring and smirked. “These will be useful for Master. He’ll definitely find a way to use them, either for trading or experimenting.”
Once she was done with the materials, she turned her attention to the table in the center. There were a stack of papers.
It was either hastily written reports or other detailed schematics of unknown devices.
Luna grabbed every document she could find, carefully placing them into her ring as well. “If Master can decode these, they might give us a clue about what this group is planning.”
She paused for a moment, glancing around the room one last time to ensure she hadn’t missed anything important. “Materials for Master, information for us. Not a bad haul.”
With everything secured, she turned back toward the passage and smirked. “Let’s get out of here before anyone notices.”
Luna silently walked back. She was confident that her haul was really good. “Master will be pleased.”
