Chapter 181: Cornered in Volcaria Territory

Luna and Savra arrived at the teleportation platform. The platform illuminated their figures as they prepared to leave Flame Wing City behind.

Savra played with her spatial ring and smirked. “Well, that was fun. Let’s return now. I’m sure Lucius will be pleased with what we’ve collected.”

Luna nodded as she waited for the platform to work. “Agreed. We’ve done enough as we looted them all without sparing a single thing. Time to head back.”

The platform began to hum sofly as the teleportation sequence activated.

A bright glow surrounded the two of them, signaling the imminent transfer. But just as the light intensified, a loud shout cut through the air.

“Stop, you bastards!”

Luna and Savra snapped their heads toward the sound. They were a bit surprised by it.

From the forest, a group of strangers emerged. Leading them were two women that they didn’t know, which were Sevrina and Casey.

Before Savra and Luna could respond, Sevrina and Casey leaped onto the platform.

They barely make it within the boundary as the teleportation sequence was completed.

The platform’s light flared brightly, enveloping all four of them in an instant and the teleportation was complete.

The group of subordinates who had accompanied Sevrina and Casey just stopped outside the platform’s boundary.

They were shocked as they watched the glowing light fade. The platform was empty now. Their leaders and the thieves were gone.

One of them slammed his fist into the ground. “Damn it! They got away!”

Another one shook his head as he stared at the empty platform. “No, they didn’t get away. Elder Sevrina and Vice Elder Casey went with them.”

The first man frowned. “What do we do now? Without the elders, we can’t pursue them.”

The second man crossed his arms. “We go back to the base. We wait for their news. That’s all we can do.”

Reluctantly, the group began to retreat. They were quite disappointed and also a bit unease as they left the teleportation platform behind.

The four of them materialized on the Volcaria estate’s teleportation platform. Luna and Savra immediately turned toward the intruders.

Savra stepped forward first and smirked as she glanced over Sevrina and Casey. “Well, well. Look who we have here. To think you actually had the audacity to follow us into our territory.”

Luna crossed her arms and smirked. “I know, right? Are they stupid or just desperate?”

Sevrina frowned as she stepped closer to Casey. “So, it was the Volcaria family all along.”

She then growled. “The ones who’ve been interfering with us at every turn. Now that we’re here, I’ll make sure to take back the Red Dragon material and the one you already have.”

Savra shook her head and chuckled as she stepped closer to Sevrina. “Red Dragon material, huh? You must be with the Red Dragon Order. That explains the arrogance.”

Both Sevrina and Casey frozen briefly. They were surprised hearing it. They exchanged a quick glance before Sevrina frowned.

She turned back to Savra. “You know about us?”

Savra tilted her head slightly and smirked. “Of course we do. Do you really think you were operating in the shadows?”

Savra stepped back a little and shrugged. “The Red Dragon Order might think they’re a big deal, but you’re not as invisible as you believe.”

Casey frowned as she looked at Sevrina. “Elder, they’ve been aware of us for longer than we thought.”

Sevrina clenched her fists. “This changes things. If they already know who we are, then this will be harder than I expected.”

Luna smirked and took a step forward. “Harder? You don’t even know the half of it.”

She pointed her finger to the ground. “You’re in Volcaria territory now. Do you really think you’re walking out of here with anything?”

Savra chuckled. “I’m curious, though. How strong are you two, really? You’ve got a lot of confidence for intruders.”

Sevrina stepped forward as she prepared herself. “You’ll find out soon enough. The Red Dragon Order doesn’t bow to anyone—not even Volcaria.”

Luna tilted her head and smirked. “Big words, but still, let’s see if you can back them up.”

Both sides stood their ground. The stakes were clear as they prepared for what would inevitably come next.

Sevrina wasted no time. She fused with her beast, which was a Six Tails Ember Fox. Her body was soon enveloped in flames.

Her hair became longer and her hands were transformed into sharp claws. Six tails also grew from her back and radiated heat.

Casey followed suit. She fused with her beast, which was a Three Tails Flame Fox.

Her form became sleek and her hands were transformed into claws. Like Sevrina, three fox tails also grew from her back.

Savra glanced at them. “To think they both have fox beasts. What do you think? Can you handle them?”

Luna only smirked as she stepped forward. “Of course. I’ll handle them myself. It’s time to see just how powerful I’ve become.”

Savra raised her eyebrow but quickly nodded. She stepped back and smirked. “I see. Then, please do it as you like. Show them what a genius can do.”

Luna exhaled slowly. She began to fuse with her own beast, Loxen, the Silver Shadow Panther.

Her body began to transform. Her hair became longer and her limbs became sleek and agile. Her hands also became a pair of sharp claws.

Sevrina stepped forward as she flexed her claws. “You think you can take on both of us alone?”

She then growled in anger. “You’re either brave or incredibly stupid.”

Casey, who stood behind Sevrina, tilted her head. “It doesn’t matter what she thinks. We’ll burn her arrogance to ashes.”

Luna smirked as she crouched slightly. “Arrogance? I don’t think so. You’ll find out soon enough what real power looks like.”

Savra leaned casually against a nearby pillar. She was watching the confrontation with interest. “This should be fun.”

She also grinned wide. “Let’s see how far they get before they realize they’ve made a mistake.”

With that, the battle was set. Luna, Sevrina and Casey were prepared to clash in a fiery showdown.
