Chapter 189: A Gift for Lucius
Ragnar and Liora materialized on the teleportation platform within the Volcaria estate.
Ragnar stretched his neck slightly as he had dismissed his fusion state. He then glanced at Liora. “Looks like we made it back in one piece.”
Liora smirked faintly. “Of course we did. It’ll take more than a collapsing base to get rid of us.”
The two of them stepped off the platform and made their way toward the estate’s main hall.
As they approached, they could hear faint voices within. Pushing open the grand doors, they found Luna and Savra already there.
Savra looked to see who was here. She then smiled the moment she spotted Ragnar. “Well, well. You’re back. Did you finish what you went for?”
Ragnar smirked as he crossed the room toward her. “You could say that, but you wouldn’t believe what that son of a bitch Karion tried to pull.”
Liora folded her arms and stood behind Ragnar as she explained. “He destroyed the base and thought that he could bury us along with it.”
Savra raised her eyebrow, glancing between the two of them. “So, how are you here, then?”
Ragnar chuckled and grinned. “Thankfully, that bastard Bryson had a secret teleportation platform in the base. It worked like a charm.”
Ragnar then clenched his fist and smirked as he thought, “And for Karion’s brilliant plan to crush us? Complete failure. I will return it later.”
Savra laughed, shaking her head. “Typical Empire tactics. Desperation disguised as strategy.”
Savra turned to Ragnar and smiled. “So, husband. Did you at least enjoy yourself there?”
Ragnar leaned back, crossing his arms. “Enjoy? Maybe a little, but now we’ve got work to do.”
After a pause, Ragnar tilted his head. “By the way, what about you? Did you finish your mission? And did you get anything useful?”
Savra smirked as she leaned back in her seat. “Of course. Not only did I get the last Red Dragon material, but I also picked up something extra.”
Ragnar raised his eyebrow as his curiosity piqued. “Oh? What would that be?”
Savra smirked as she gestured to the floor, toward the hidden prison. “Some prisoners. A couple of Red Dragon Order elders, to be precise.”
Ragnar laughed hard and grinned. “Now that’s a good one. Not only do we have their materials, but we’ve got some of their elders, too.”
Savra nodded. “They’ll be useful. Whether for information or leverage, I’m sure Lucius will find a way to make the most of them.”
Ragnar smirked as he turned toward Lucius. “Well, it seems we’ve brought you more than enough to work with.”
Lucius leaned slightly at his seat and smirked. “More than enough? Perhaps. Miss Savra seems to have delivered quite a bit.”
He glanced at Ragnar and smirked. “But what about you, Patriarch Ragnar? Did you bring me anything useful, or were you too busy destroying things?”
Ragnar only let a little laugh. “You know me, Lucius. I’m better at breaking things than gathering them.”
Lucius sighed, shaking his head desperately. “As expected. Fortunately, not everyone shares your singular focus.”
He turned his gaze to Liora, who now stood behind him. “What about you, Liora? I trust you’ve brought something more… substantial?”
Liora nodded and gave Lucius a small vial filled with a glowing red liquid. “It’s called the Red Dragon Serum.”
She then began to explain what she knew. “It was by them to temporarily transform themselves into something that had traits of a red dragon.”
Lucius was immediately interested in it. He took the vial carefully and examined it. “Fascinating. A serum that induces partial transformation…”

He turned the vial slowly, observing the way the liquid shimmered and shifted. “You say they used this to enhance themselves, right?”
Liora nodded. “Yes. I saw one of their elders drink it during a battle. It made them significantly stronger for a short time, but it also seemed to come with risks. The transformation wasn’t stable.”
Lucius smirked faintly. “I see. This will be quite useful. I’d like to research it further.”
Savra leaned back in her chair and smirked. “Well, it seems Liora has done more than enough to make up for Ragnar’s enthusiasm.”
Ragnar chuckled. “That’s why we bring the best, isn’t it? I can focus on smashing things because I know she’ll handle the rest.”
Liora smirked faintly but said nothing. She glanced briefly at Lucius before returning to her calm demeanor.

Lucius then put out 100 5-Star beast rings. He placed them on the table before him.
Lucius glanced at Ragnar. “These are 5-Star beast rings. Each one contains a powerful 5-Star beast. I have specifically chosen the best beasts.”
He gave them to Ragnar. “I want you to take our 100 best soldiers and have them contract with these beasts. They’ll need to grow stronger quickly for our plan to succeed.”
Ragnar leaned forward and smirked. “Not a bad lineup. This should give them the edge they’ll need.”
He straightened and nodded. “Alright then. I’ll make sure it’s done.”
Lucius glanced toward Savra. “Miss Savra, while Ragnar trains the soldiers, I want you to focus on training the maids. They’ll need to be ready for what’s to come.”
Savra smirked as she stood. “You’ve got it.”
She turned toward Liora and Luna and teased them. “Come on, girls. Let’s have some fun.”
Liora raised her eyebrow as she crossed her arms.
“Fun?”
Luna, who stood beside her, chuckled. “When Matriarch Savra says ‘fun,’ it usually means a lot of hard work.”
Savra laughed, shaking her head slightly as she placed her hands on her hips. “Don’t look so serious. It’ll be a game.”
Savra then smirked. “And by the time we’re done, you’ll be sharper, faster, and ready to take on anything.”
Liora exchanged a glance with Luna. “Alright. Let’s see what you’ve got.”
Savra grinned, turning toward the estate’s training grounds. “That’s the spirit. Follow me, girls. It’s time to play.”
Meanwhile, Ragnar gathered the rings and stood up. “I’ll handle this, Lucius. By the time we’re ready, these soldiers will be a force to be reckoned with.”
Lucius smirked as he heard it. He also stood up. “Good. I will be waiting for the good news.”
