Chapter 191: Red Dragon Serum Secrets
Lucius was now thinking about how they could create this serum, but then he sighed as he decided not to think about it. “No point of thinking about it.”
Lucius glanced back at the sleeping Flame Komodo and smirked. “Now, let’s find out what this serum does to this beast aside from my observation.”
He immediately turned to his system. “Hack and analyze the changes inside the Flame Komodo caused by the Red Dragon Serum.”

Lucius crossed his arms. He was waiting for the system to finish his command. Moments later, the results appeared on the interface.

Lucius tilted his head slightly as he read the report. “I see, it’s temporary power up.”
Lucius glanced back at the Flame Komodo. “Trait assimilation, stat boosts, and elemental amplification, but only for an hour. It’s impressive, but not nearly as revolutionary as I expected.”
He soon frowned as he thought about it more. “For all its power, it’s not good enough for me.”
Turning back to the interface, Lucius issued another command. “System, extract the serum’s effects from the Flame Komodo and convert them back into a serum form.”

The Flame Komodo’s body began to change as the system hacked it again. Its scales and claws had reverted back to their original state
The extracted energy condensed into a serum, which materialized in the air. Lucius retrieved it carefully by putting it back into the vial.
Lucius leaned back as he put the vial back to his spatial ring. He was thinking about other things. “I wonder what else I can accomplish before the confrontation begins.”
—
Lucius stood in his lan. He glanced at the two Red Dragon materials on the table before him.
The first was the Red Dragon Heart that he got from Volcaria Treasury.
The other one was the Red Dragon Core, which Savra obtained from Kryndal Treasury and had been absorbed by Lucius.
He then tapped his fingers rhythmically on the edge of the table as he leaned over the materials.
There was a question that made him confused the more he thought about it. “The Red Dragon Order wants to gather all Red Dragon materials to perform some kind of ritual.”
He took out the old paper from his spatial ring and put it on the table. “A ritual that supposedly grants them the talent of the Red Dragon Emperor, but something doesn’t add up.”
He thought it more as he muttered. “The Red Dragon Order needs multiple 7-Star Red Dragon materials to complete the ritual.”
Lucius glanced back at the Red Dragon Materials again. “They were filled with immense energy that could give me a lot of hack points.”
He tapped his finger again as he leaned back. “But here’s the part that doesn’t make sense. I can easily get Emperor-level talent for a cheap price.”
He glanced at this system. “The cost was about 100,000 hack points. Before point simplification, that is. Now, it only cost me 100 points.”
He leaned forward again and glanced back at the old paper. “Yet this ritual requires 7-Star Red Dragon materials that easily surpass the value of 100 points by a lot. Too much to count.”
He tilted his head slightly as his head was hurt. “Why? Why would the ritual require so much more energy than the system’s calculation?”
Lucius picked up the paper and read it again, trying to find something, but Lucius found nothing. “Is there something more to the Red Dragon Emperor’s talent that I’m missing?”
Lucius glanced back at the system screen. “Or are you just too powerful that it is cheap for you?”
The system screen suddenly appeared. Lucius was curious why it appeared and read what was written on the system screen.
—
[Reason for Reduced Cost: Talent Upgrade resets rank to 1-Star, ensuring full integration and requiring progression from the start.]
[Reminder: Talent can only be hacked once to raise it by one level. Those without talent may choose one freely once.]
[Reminder: The target must approve the upgrade mentally for the hack to succeed.]
—
Lucius was processing the information that he just got. He leaned back in his chair, tapping lightly on the edge of the table. “I see.”
Lucius then smirked. “No wonder the cost is so low. The system resets the target to one star, forcing them to start over entirely.”
He rubbed his chin as he thought it further. “That explains what happened to me. When I acquired my talent, I was still at 1-Star, so I don’t know it.”
Lucius also realized it suddenly. “I’ve also never tried hacking someone else who had a talent.”
Lucius paused and frowned as he considered the implications. “If using the hack causes a complete reset, it would be troublesome to use it on allies.”
Lucius tapped the table. “Even if it grants them greater potential, starting over from one star would set us back too much in the short term.”
He then smirked as he thought of something bad. “But it could be devastating if used on an enemy.”
He murmured to himself. “Stripping them of their rank, forcing them to begin again… that would weaken them significantly.”
His smirk then faded as he thought more. “But getting the target to mentally approve the hack would be the real challenge.”
Lucius rubbed his temple. “No one would willingly agree to such a thing unless they were desperate or utterly convinced it was worth it.”
He leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand as he thought of something. “But not impossible. I could just somewhat fool them or something.”
