Chapter 195: Lucius’ Bold Experiment Explained!
The next day, Daxton was summoned to the main hall of the Volcaria estate. As he entered, the found Lucius was waiting for him.
Daxton approached him and bowed slightly. “You called for me, Young Master Lucius?”
Lucius nodded as he took out a pill from his spatial ring and smirked. “Yes, I wanted to tell you that it’s finished.”
Daxton looked up and saw the pill that was held by Lucius. “Is this it? The pill that can strengthen me?”
Lucius smirked as he held the pill for Daxton and the other to see. “That’s right. This will elevate you to a new level. All you need to do is swallow it.”
Daxton received the pill from Lucius. The pill was now in his palm. There was a bit of hesitation in his face. He glanced back at Lucius. “I’ll trust you.”
Without any hesitation, Daxton put the pill in his mouth and swallowed it in one quick motion. The pill’s effect immediately rose just after it was eaten.
Daxton staggered back as his body was being tore. He could sense that his body was being ripped and healed at the same time for many times.
He also roared as his body convulsed. He fell to his knee and clutched his chest, trying to hold himself.
Ragnar and Savra rose from their seats. They were really surprised and also concerned about Daxton.
Ragnar looked at Lucius and shouted. “What’s happening to him? Is this really normal?”
Savra also looked at Daxton and then turned toward Lucius. “He’s in pain. Are you sure that this is supposed to happen? Did something go wrong?”
Lucius smirked as he glanced back at them. He began to calm them down. “Relax. This is normal.”
Ragnar was surprised after hearing it. He gestured toward Daxton and frowned. “What the hell do you mean this is normal, Lucius?”
Lucius nodded. He turned back to Daxton, who was crying in pain and smirked. “Yes, the transformation process is intense, but it’s necessary. Surely you’ve heard the phrase ‘No Pain No Gain’, right?”
Savra only sighed as she crossed her arms. “He’d better survive this or we’ll lose a good warrior.”
Lucius smirked as he calmed her. “Don’t worry, he will. And when he does, you’ll see why this process is worth the risk.”
Daxton continued to roar as the transformation wrecked his body It was a process unlike anything he had experienced before.
Nearly half an hour had passed, and the transformation finally ended. Daxton collapsed to his knees, his breaths coming in ragged gasps.
Ragnar and Savra stepped closer. Daxton slowly stood but was trembling. To their surprise, his physical appearance seemed unchanged.
He looked the same as he had before, and his aura, while stable, didn’t radiate any noticeable increase in power.
Ragnar frowned, crossing his arms as he asked. “Daxton, do you feel any changes in your body?”
Daxton wiped the sweat from his head with confusion as he glanced back at them. “After the pain stopped, it felt like my body was refreshed, like I’d been cleansed or reborn.”
He flexed and clenched his fists. “But… I don’t feel any stronger. My body’s strength feels the same as it was before.”
Savra tilted her head slightly. “So, there’s no noticeable improvement?”
Daxton shook his head as he was also confused. “No. At least, not yet.”
Ragnar turned to Lucius and questioned him. “Did your experiment fail?”
Lucius glanced back at Ragnar and smirked. “Of course not. If it had failed, Daxton would already be half-dead.”
Daxton was surprised at Lucius’ blunt statement. “Half-dead? You mean I could’ve—”

Lucius interrupted him and calmed him down. “Relax. It didn’t fail. You’re alive, aren’t you?”
Daxton let out a slow sigh. He was quite relieved. “I see… than does it mean that it worked?”
Savra turned to Lucius and frowned. “If it worked, then what exactly was the point of this? He looks the same and feels the same. Just what kind of experiment is this?”
Lucius smirked as he gestured toward Daxton. “Don’t worry. You’ll see it now.”
He reached into his spatial ring and pulled out a small stone. Savra tilted her head as she recognized it. “Isn’t that a talent stone?”
Lucius didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he smirked and extended the stone toward Daxton. “Go ahead. Touch it.”
Daxton was confused as to why Lucius did this. But he trusted him enough to follow through. He then placed his hand on the talent stone.
The stone began to glow faintly. At first, its light was blue, which reflected Daxton’s current talent.
Savra frowned as she glanced at the stone and was a bit disappointed. “It’s still the same. His talent is still Lord-Level.”
Before Lucius could respond, the stone’s glow suddenly intensified. The blue light was soon replaced by a bright red light and stunned all three people in the room.
Ragnar growled as he leaned forward in his seat. “What the hell is this?!”
Savra frowned as her gaze shifted between Lucius and the glowing stone. “This… This isn’t normal. What did you do?”
Daxton, who held the stone, stood frozen. “What’s happening? What does this mean?”
Lucius smirked as he crossed his arms. “What it means is that the experiment worked.”
He gestured toward the talent stone. “As you can see, Daxton’s talent has been upgraded. That red glow means his talent has risen from Lord Level to King Level.”
Daxton was trembling slightly as he pulled away from the stone. He was still surprised by the revelation. “Did… you mean that my talent has been upgraded?”
Lucius nodded and shook Daxton’s hand. “Congratulations, Daxton. You’re no longer limited to a Lord-level talent. You now possess a King-level talent.”
Daxton stared at his hands. He was still in disbelief. “King-Level… I don’t know what to say.”
Ragnar and Savra exchanged a glance. They were really shocked by the sudden reveal.
Ragnar chuckled as he shook his head and leaned back in his chair. “Well, I’ll be damned. To think that your experiment is about talent upgrade.”
Savra crossed her arms and glanced at Lucius. “I’ll admit. I didn’t think this was possible. But you’ve proven me wrong.”
Lucius smirked as he crossed his arms and laughed hard. “Didn’t I tell you already that I am a genius?”
