Chapter 198: The Volcanic Heart
Sevrina was still frowning as she heard Lucius’ explanation. But still, she was a bit hesitant about the deal. “Even if that’s true, why should I trust you? How do I know you’re not lying?”
Lucius chuckled again as he tilted his head slightly. “Because we are Volcaria, the family of brutes. We talked with power and never lie.”
He paused briefly as he added silently to himself. “Except for a few times and myself, of course.”
Lucius gestured toward the black talent stone again as he was being persuasive. “And also, isn’t it too good to pass up? Emperor-level talent, right here, within your reach. All you have to do is cooperate.”
Sevrina’s gaze remained fixed on the black stone before her. She was conflicted. On one hand, she didn’t want to work with Lucius.
On the other hand, the black stone was undeniable proof of something she and her order had spent years pursuing: Emperor-level talent.
Lucius smirked as he knew that this was the moment that he could seize to persuade her.
“Come on, this could change everything for you, for your leader, and for the Red Dragon Order. What’s there to hesitate about?”
Sevrina snapped as she slammed her fists to the ground. “Damn you!”
Sevrina growled as her gaze was locked onto Lucius. “Fine. I’ll take you to meet our leader.”
Lucius smirked as he had been waiting for this response. “Well, that’s quite easy.”
But Sevrina wasn’t finished as she smirked the next moment. “But I have a condition. You come with us alone. No one else.”
Ragnar and Savra, who had been watching the exchange intently, immediately frowned.
Ragnar leaned forward as he was trying to threaten her with his voice. “What the hell did you just say?”
Savra crossed her arms as she locked onto Sevrina. “You want Lucius to go alone? That’s not going to happen.”
Sevrina smirked as she turned to Lucius. “What do you think? This is my deal. If you want me to take him to our leader, then he comes alone. Take it or leave it.”
Ragnar frowned after hearing it. “You think we’d agree to something so reckless? You have no leverage here.”
Savra nodded and added. “We’ve already given you more than you deserve. Now you’re making demands?”
Lucius raised his hand to silence Ragnar and Savra before they could argue further. He turned back to Sevrina, as he was quite amused. “Fine. I’ll agree to your condition.”
He paused briefly, tilting his head slightly and smirked. “But still, I can’t help but worry about my safety. After all, walking into your territory alone would be… risky.”
Sevrina frowned, as she was suspicious when hearing that. “And what are you suggesting for that?”
Lucius chuckled and gestured casually. “Simple, I’ll some people but not Ragnar or Savra, as you’ve requested. Instead, I’ll bring my personal maids.”
Sevrina frowned deeply. “Your maids?”
Lucius nodded as he leaned forward. “Yes, both of them are 6-Star tamers, but to your leader, who was a 7-Star tamer, they wouldn’t pose a threat, right?”
She frowned as she processed his words. Finally, she let out a slow sigh. “Fine. If they’re just your personal maids, then it’s acceptable.”
Lucius smirked as he extended his hand to her. “Good, then we have a deal.”
Sevrina shook his hand as she accepted it, but still she warned him. “Just don’t try anything.”
Lucius chuckled. “Don’t worry. You’ll find that I’m very reasonable.”
Ragnar and Savra exchanged uneasy glances. They were concerned about Lucius but held it in.

The next day, Lucius stood calmly beside the teleportation platform. Beside him were Luna and Liora, his trusted maids.
Sevrina and Casey stood opposite them. They were glaring at Liora and Luna.
Lucius smirked faintly, gesturing toward Sevrina. “Please, lead the way.”
Sevrina nodded. She reached into her spatial ring and took out a plaque. Without hesitation, she bit the tip of her finger, allowing a single drop of blood to fall onto the plaque’s surface.
The plaque glowed faintly as it was activated. Sevrina turned to the group as it was time for them to get teleported. “Come.”
Lucius smirked and bowed a bit. “As you wish.” He motioned for Luna and Liora to follow. The three of them moved onto the platform.
Before they disappeared, Lucius turned back to Ragnar and Savra, who stood at a distance. “You know what to do, right?”
Both Ragnar and Savra nodded silently as their gazes were locked onto Lucius. They didn’t need to speak, as they already knew about the plan.
Satisfied, Lucius turned back to the platform as he prepared for the journey. The runes beneath them flared to life, enveloping the five of them.
The teleportation activated with a flash of light, and the group disappeared, leaving the platform silent and empty.
The five of them then appeared on the other teleportation platform. Almost immediately, the intense heat of the surroundings enveloped them.
Lucius, Luna, and Liora remained composed as they glanced around their new surroundings. The sight before them was not that normal.
They stood at the edge of a massive volcanic expanse, the ground beneath their feet glowing faintly with traces of molten rock.
Far below, swirling rivers of lava flowed through a vast cavern.
In the center of this volcanic expanse was a city, built into the walls and floor of the massive cavern.
Towers of blackened stone and glowing red crystal rose high above the lava, their jagged designs reminiscent of dragon claws.
Bridges of molten steel arched over the rivers of lava, connecting different sections of the city.
Lucius was pretty impressed by the sight. “This is quite impressive. A city inside a volcano… fitting for the Red Dragon Order.”
Sevrina turned slightly and smirked as she glanced back at Lucius. “Welcome to the heart of the Red Dragon Order. This place is far beyond the base you destroyed.”
Casey gestured toward the city below. “This is where our true strength lies.”
Lucius chuckled. “I see. Well then, let’s see your leader, shall we? We need to talk.”
