Chapter 199: Breaking Chains
Ragnar and Savra stood silently in front of the now-empty teleportation platform.
Savra broke the silence as she crossed her arms. “I never thought that he would go so far as to include the Red Dragon Order in his final plan.”
Ragnar nodded as he stared at the platform. “Yeah. To think he’d be that bold… it’s impressive, even for him. But now, it’s our turn.”
He turned toward Savra and smirked. “Let’s go. It’s time for us to carry out our own part.”
Savra smirked as she turned to Ragnar and uncrossed her arms. “Agreed. It’s been a week since that incident. Everything’s in place now.”
Ragnar nodded once more as he stepped onto the teleportion platform. Savra followed from behind.
As the energy of the teleportation swirled around them, Ragnar glanced at Savra. “No turning back now.”
Savra smirked as she replied. “There never was.”
In a flash of light, the two disappeared, their forms dissolving into the glowing energy of the teleportation.

In the grand hall of the Empire, King Astorius Solvian sat upon his imposing throne.
Beside him were Minister Anselm and Karion, the Patriarch of the Kryndal family.
Astorius looked at Anselm. “So, you wanted to propose that we go and attack Volcaria.”
Anselm nodded as he stepped forward. “Yes, Your Majesty. With Ragnar gone, only Savra remains as a 7-Star tamer.”
“She’s strong, but not strong enough to defend Volcaria against us. This is the perfect opportunity to remind Volcaria of its place.”
He paused briefly, then continued. “For years, they’ve acted as they pleased, ignoring your authority. It’s time they learned humility and groveled before the king.”
Karion nodded in agreement. “Anselm is right, Your Majesty. Volcaria has always been a thorn in the Empire’s side.
“They’ve ignored your orders, acted without permission, and operated as if they were above the law. This is our chance to make them submit.”
Astorius leaned back on his throne. He was considering their words. “It’s true that Volcaria has been more of a thorn than a leaf. They’ve always done as they pleased, ignoring my authority.”
His gaze then shifted between Anselm and Karion as he waved his hand. “They’ve operated with impunity for far too long. If Ragnar is truly gone, then they are vulnerable.”
Anselm nodded eagerly. “Precisely, Your Majesty. With a decisive strike, we can put an end to their defiance once and for all.”
Karion smirked faintly. “It’s a good opportunity to restructure the balance of power within the Empire as well. Volcaria has grown too bold. It’s time they remembered their place.”
Astorius’s expression remained thoughtful, but he continued to smirk. “Very well. If this is what you believe is necessary, then we shall move forward with the plan.”
He stood up and extended his hand as he put out an order. “Prepare everything. We will strike tomorrow. Let Volcaria learn the price of defiance.”
Anselm and Karion exchanged satisfied glances, bowing deeply before the king. “As you command, Your Majesty.”
Astorius leaned back once more and became cold. “Let this serve as a reminder, as no one stands above the Empire.”
Suddenly, a mocking voice echoed through the hall. “Well, well. Planning to attack us, are you? How… original.”
All heads turned sharply toward the source of the voice. To the shock of King Astorius, Anselm, and Karion, Ragnar and Savra were here.
They had entered without so much as a care for the guards or protocol.

Ragnar smirked with amusement as he glanced at them. “Why do all of you look so surprised? What’s the matter? Didn’t expect to see me alive?”
Astorius and Anselm stared in disbelief as they were stunned. But it was Karion who broke the silence as he pointed toward them.
“How can you be alive?! I saw you buried in that volcano with the Red Dragon Order’s leader. There’s no way you could’ve survived!”
Ragnar threw back his head and laughed hard. “How stupid you are, Karion. To think that you’re considered one of the Empire’s smartest minds.”
He crossed his arms and smirked. “There was a hidden teleportation platform in the base. I used it to escape and return to my estate. It was simple, really.”
He then gestured toward Karion. “But you? You were too busy patting yourself on the back to even consider the possibility.”
Karion tightened his jaw as he was in anger. “YOU!”
Savra, standing beside Ragnar, smirked faintly as she crossed her arms. “And to think that you dare to attack us. It seems the Empire doesn’t want Volcaria anymore.”
Astorious tried to regain his composure as he warned them. “You’ve overstepped your bounds, Ragnar, Savra. Barging into the grand hall without permission is an act of defiance.”
Ragnar chuckled as he stepped closer and flared his aura. “Defiance? You’re planning to attack my family, and you want to lecture me about defiance? Spare me, Astorius.”
Savra tilted her head and smirked. “If anything, it seems the Empire has overstepped its bounds. To think you’d plot to take advantage of Ragnar’s supposed death. How… cowardly.”
Savra also didn’t stop there as she reached into her spatial ring and pulled out a folded piece of parchment. She tossed it casually onto the floor before Astorius.
Astorius frowned deeply as he saw the parchment. Beside him, Anselm stiffened as he knew what the parchment was.
Savra pointed at it. “That is a signed document from your dear Minister Anselm.”
Ragnar chuckled, crossing his arms as he added. “In short, it’s proof that Anselm willingly traded the Empire’s support for information on the Red Dragon Order. Which, as you can see, has been… rather useful.”
Anselm’s face paled as he glanced at the paper before turning to Savra. “You…!”
Savra cut him off with a wave of her hand. “It doesn’t matter what you said. What matters is that it’s signed and binding.”
Astorius frowned as he retrieved the document and scanned it. “What do you want?”
Savra stepped forward as she locked her gaze onto Astorius. “You know, it’s quite disheartening to hear that the Empire doesn’t want us anymore. After all we’ve done for you.”
Ragnar chuckled again as he added. “But don’t worry. We’ll make it easy for you.”
Savra smirked as she delivered her demand. “I want the Volcaria family to break away from the Empire and become its own sovereign power—our own Empire—the Volcaria Empire.”
