Chapter 200: A King’s Fury

The king was shocked as he heard Savra’s bold declaration. The audacity of her demand rendered all of them speechless.

Karion was the first to react as he stepped forward. He glanced at Savra and roared in anger. “What the hell do you mean by that?! You can’t just declare independence like it’s nothing!”

Ragnar smirked as he glanced at Karion. “Just like Savra had said earlier, we want independence.”

The king immediately rose from his throne. He glared at the two of them and roared. “How dare you! How dare you come here uninvited and spout such nonsense in my grand hall!”

Savra tilted her head slightly as she glanced at Astorius. “Didn’t you say you didn’t want us anymore? We’re just helping you get what you want.”

Astorius frowned as he gripped the arms of his throne. His aura immediately flared up. “This is a treason. You can’t do this.”

Savra chuckled as she met his glare without flinching. “Oh, of course we can. And also let me remind you that we don’t take ‘no’ for an answer.”

Ragnar turned slightly, glancing back over his shoulder as he smirked. “You have until tomorrow to decide. Come to our estate and give us your answer.”

He then paused briefly before adding. “But let me remind you once again that this isn’t a request.”

Savra chuckled again as she turned to leave. “Until then.”

Without waiting for a response, Ragnar and Savra walked out of the grand hall while laughing hard.

Astorius sat back down on his throne. He was clenching his fists tightly as he was really frustated with the current situation.

He slammed his fists against the armrest as he growled in anger. “What do we do now? To think that Ragnar is still alive!”

He turned toward Karion and shouted at him. “Didn’t you say he was dead? Didn’t you confirm it yourself? Then why was he still alive?”

Karion frowned. “Your Majesty. I saw it with my own eyes. The volcano collapsed, and he was buried in the destruction along with the Red Dragon Order’s leader.”

Karion then kneeled down. “But I didn’t know that there was a hidden teleportation platform.”

Astorius frowned further as he snapped toward Anselm. “And you! Why the hell did you sign that document? How could you make such a reckless mistake?”

Anselm stiffened as he was nervous. “Your Majesty. We needed information on the Red Dragon Order. At the time, it seemed like the best option.”

He was really frustrated and added. “But I never thought Ragnar and Savra would be bold enough to use it against us—to stand here and make such an outrageous demand.”

Astorius leaned forward as his grip on the armrests were tightened. “Damn it. To think they would dare challenge me like this…”

He rose suddenly and issued his orders loudly. “Anselm, prepare the armies. I want every unit ready for deployment by dawn.”

Anselm nodded as he bowed down. “Yes, Your Majesty.”

Astorius then turned back to Karion. “Karion, prepare your forces as well. You’ll lead them alongside the Empire’s main army.”

Karion nodded and bowed down. “Understood, Your Majesty.”

Astorius leaned back slightly. “Tomorrow. We will go to Volcaria. If Ragnar and Savra want a fight, then they’ll get one.”

Karion and Anselm exchanged glances before bowing deeply. “As you command, Your Majesty,”

Astorius clenched his fists once more as he stared into the distance. “Tomorrow will be a tough fight, but I will make sure Volcaria pays for their defiance.”

The room fell silent as the preparations for the inevitable confrontation began.

Sevrina gestured toward Lucius to follow her. “Come with me. It’s time to meet our leader.”

Lucius nodded as he followed Sevrina and Casey through the bustling volcanic city. Luna and Liora followed him from behind.

As they walked, Lucius was looking around the streets. He quickly noticed that the citizens here were not ordinary individuals.

“Interesting. Everyone here seems strong. I can sense multiple 5-Star auras… and a few 6-Star as well, though none seem to be peak 6-Star.”

Sevrina glanced over her shoulder as she replied to Lucius. “Of course. This is the heart of the Red Dragon Order. Our main forces are stationed here. The soldiers you met before were mere pawns compared to the warriors in this city.”

Lucius chuckled as he was impressed. “I see. It’s truly remarkable. I can understand why the Empire feared your order.”

As they moved further into the city, some of the soldiers stopped to greet Sevrina.

One soldier, a muscular man, stepped forward and called out. “Elder Sevrina! Why are you just arriving now? We thought you were lost in the battle against the Empire’s attack a few days ago!”

Sevrina paused as she turned to face the soldier to explain it. “I’m sorry for my absence. I had some important business to attend to.”

The soldier nodded. “It’s fine. The main armies didn’t suffer too much damage, and the leader and the other elders are safe. That’s what matters.”

Sevrina let out a faint sigh of relief. “I see. That’s good to hear.”

The soldiers then glanced at Lucius and his maids. He was a bit suspicious about them. “And who are they?

Sevrina coughed a bit and explained it. “They’re our leader’s guests. They were also the ones who will help us take vengeance on the Empire.”

The soldier’s eyes flicked between Sevrina and Lucius before he stepped back slightly. “I see. It’s about time we had allies who understood what the Empire has done to us.”

Lucius smirked faintly. “Sure do.”

Sevrina glanced back at Lucius, gesturing for him and his maids to follow. “Let’s go. The main hall isn’t far from here.”

As they continued, Lucius was thinking about something. The strength of the Red Dragon Order’s forces, the layout of their city, and the aura of defiance in its people.

All of it showed a picture of an organization still standing strong, despite their recent losses.

With a faint smirk, he stepped forward, following Sevrina toward the heart of the Red Dragon Order’s power.
