Chapter 202: Lucius’ Shocking Proposal
Deon, Zerath, and Tarron kept their gazes locked on Lucius. But Bryson’s attention remained fixed on the black talent stone lying on the ground before him.
The silence in the room stretched until Bryson finally broke it as he asked the elders. “Do you know what this stone is?”
Deon, Zerath, and Tarron stepped closer and examined the stone. They recognized the object but were unable to recognize it because of the color.
Deon was uncertain about it as he muttered. “It looks like a talent stone, but why is it black?”
Zerath nodded as he added. “I’ve seen talent stones in the past. Gray when not activated, and then white, green, blue, and red corresponding to the levels of talent. But… I’ve never seen a black one before.”
Tarron frowned deeply as he leaned closer to the stone. “It’s impossible. A talent stone can’t be black. That’s not how it works.”
Sevrina, who had remained silent until now, stepped forward as she glanced at the confused elders. “It’s black because it’s the color of the fifth level of talent—the Emperor-level talent.”
The room erupted in shock. Deon, Zerath, and Tarron all recoiled slightly.
Deon was trembling. “Emperor Level? That’s…”
Tarron snapped. “Impossible! That level of talent is the one we have been searching for. How could something like this exist now?”
Zerath remained silent as he turned to Bryson for confirmation. The other two elders followed suit.
Bryson stood still as he sighed. Finally, he gave a single nod. “It’s true. This black talent stone represents Emperor-level talent.”
The other elders stared at him in stunned silence. The weight of Bryson’s confirmation settled heavily in the room. The reality of the stone’s significance was now undeniable.
Bryson turned his gaze to Lucius as he stepped closer. “How can you have that stone?”
“I’ve studied this color through countless research and ancient texts. I know what it represents—but I also know that not a single Emperor-level talent has been born in the past hundred years.”
Lucius smirked as he crossed his arms. “I see. I could tell you. But I’d prefer if we had this conversation privately.”
Bryson frowned slightly. “Privately?”
Lucius nodded. “Yes. Ask the elders to back off a bit. This is a matter for leaders, don’t you think?”
Bryson glanced back at the elders. Deon, Tarron, and Zerath exchanged uncertain glances before stepping back reluctantly.
Bryson turned back to Lucius and sighed. “Fine.”
He then gestured toward a side door leading to his private chamber. “We’ll talk there.”
Lucius turned to Liora and Luna, who stood silently behind him. “You two, don’t start a battle while I’m gone.”
Liora nodded. “Understood.”
Luna tilted her head slightly in amusement. “Don’t worry, Master. We’ll behave.”
Bryson also turned to his elders and addressed them. “You as well. No one starts a fight.”
Deon frowned but nodded. “Understood, Leader Bryson.”
Tarron growled as he glared at Liora and Luna. “Fine.”
With the instructions given, Bryson turned back to Lucius, gesturing toward the private chamber. “Let’s go,” he said curtly.
Lucius smirked as he followed Bryson into the room. The door closed behind them, leaving the tension in the grand hall as both sides watched each other warily.

Lucius sat comfortably in the chair across from Bryson. Bryson leaned forward slightly as he fixed his gaze on Lucius, waiting for him to finally answer the question that had been gnawing him.
Lucius smirked faintly, leaning back in his chair as he crossed his arms. “Fine. I’ll tell you. There are indeed Emperor-level talent tamers in Volcaria.”
Bryson was still glaring at him, as it was not the answer that he wanted. There was a different answer that he wanted to know.
Lucius tilted his head slightly and smirked. “But it seems you don’t really need that information. What you truly want is the way to obtain Emperor-level talent, isn’t it?”
Bryson immediately smirked as he heard that, his fingers tapping lightly against the edge of his chair. “Yeah. That’s precisely what I want. The method.”
Lucius chuckled as he glared back at Bryson. “Well, I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I can’t tell you the method.”
Bryson frowned a bit after hearing it. “If you cannot tell me the method, why are you even here? What are you planning?”
Lucius only smirked. “Don’t worry. Although I can’t give you the method, I can make you and even your elders become Emperor-level talent tamers.”
Bryson froze when hearing it. He was now processing what he had just heard. He clenched the armrests tightly as his body began to trmble.
He glanced back at Lucius and asked in disbelief. “You… mean that you can make multiple people into Emperor-level tamers? Is that even possible?”
Lucius leaned forward slightly and smirked. “It is. I can make it happen. For you and your entire elders.”
Bryson stared at him. He struggled to compose himself as he was thinking so much. “If that’s true… then what do you want for it?”
Lucius leaned back in his chair as he answered. “What I want is your Red Dragon Order.”
Bryson frowned as he glanced back at Lucius. “What do you mean by that? Are you saying you want to take over the Red Dragon Order?”
Lucius shook his head. “No. After seeing this city, its strength, and its potential, I’ve decided on something bigger.”
He leaned forward slightly and continued. “What I truly want is for Volcaria to fuse with the Red Dragon Order to form a new empire, which was the Volcaria Empire.”
Bryson froze as he heard what Lucius truly wanted. He could not believe what he had just heard. “Volcaria Empire? Are you saying… Volcaria wants to defect from the Empire?”
Lucius nodded and smirked. “That’s exactly what I’m saying. The Volcaria family is done being tied to the Empire.”
He then gestured at Bryson. “And with the Red Dragon Order by our side, we’ll be stronger than ever—stronger than the Empire itself.”
Bryson still couldn’t believe what Lucius had just said as he gripped his armrests.
