Chapter 216: The Sky General Thought He Was Untouchable
The Sky General wasted no time. With a swift motion, he reached into his spatial ring and pulled out a massive sword that was quite suited for him.
Luna looked at the sword in surprise before she grinned, taunting him. “To think that you’re so weak that you actually need a weapon?”
She crossed her arms and smirked. “I thought you were supposed to be the Sky General, the ruler of the heavens. Shouldn’t someone like that rely on their own strength?”
The Sky General remained cold, but his grip on the sword tightened slightly. “This sword means that I have decided to take you seriously.”
He then pointed his massive sword at Luna and growled. “I will make sure that you regret ever mocking me and the king.”
Without another word, he flew into the sky. While hovering in the air, he began to attack Luna.
He raised his sword above his head and gathered his energy. A torrent of wind wrapped around the weapon as he swung downward. “Tempest Blade!”
A crescent wave of razor-sharp wind sliced through the air, rushing toward Luna, aiming to end her.
Luna only smirked as she raised her claw. She gathered the shadow energy around it and used it to slash downward, shattering the wind blade.
But the Sky General wasn’t done. From above, he swung his sword again and again, sending a barrage of Tempest Blades toward her.
Each time, Luna shattered them with her claws, but Luna was a bit overwhelmed by them.
From his high point, the Sky General kept flapping his wings, keeping him high above the ground and smirked. “You can break them, but you can’t touch me.”
He then raised his sword above and roared. “I am the Sky General. The ruler of the sky. You down there will never reach me.”
With a swift motion, he raised his sword again, gathering even more power. “Die below where you belong!”
He unleashed a storm of Tempest Blades, sending dozens of wind arcs hurtling toward Luna from all directions.
Luna clicked her tongue, breaking another incoming attack, but she was quite overwhelmed. She needed to find a way to counter him.
Luna glanced above and frowned as she watched the Sky General hover above, untouchable, raining down destruction.
Flying enemies were always annoying. This made her crack her knuckles, trying to think of something. “Fine, old man. If you won’t come down to me… then I’ll just make you come down.”
With a single motion, she vanished into the shadows. The Sky general scoffed at her. “You think hiding will save you?”
Raising his sword once more, he gathered more energy as winds twisted violently around his blade. “Let’s see if your shadows can protect you!”
With a single powerful swing, he unleashed a devastating attack. “Tempest Strike!”
A torrential storm of wind blades descended like a divine judgment, ripping through the battlefield.
But even as the Tempest Strike shredded through the land below, Luna remained untouched.
Deep within the shadow world, she remained hidden. She was watching and calculating.
She glanced upward. She frowned as she saw the old bastard hovering, untouchable in the sky.
But then she smirked as the old bastard would not be the sky general anymore. She raised her hands and began to mold the darkness around her.
She immediately created a shadow bow that was twice the size of her own body.
She also created a massive arrow that had a lot of shadow energy within it. She immediately put the massive arrow on the bow.
Luna also used her own body to use the massive bow. She put both of her feet and pressed firmly against the bow’s handle.

She used her claws to grip the string and pulled it backward with as much power as she had.
She glanced at the Sky General and smirked as she released the arrow. “You’re coming down, old bastard, whether you like it or not.”
The massive shadow arrow tore through the air, shooting directly at the Sky General.
Meanwhile, the Sky General frowned that his attack didn’t hurt her at all, so he was trying to create another and more powerful one.
But before he could launch another one, his instincts, which were forged from countless wars, were screaming at him that something dangerous was coming to him.
Without hesitation, he spread his massive wings, coating them in layers of Tempest Energy.
His body also tensed up as he prepared to defend himself and soon he saw the incoming attack.
The shadow arrow erupted from the ground, shooting toward him at breakneck speed.
“Tch—!” He immediately channeled even more Tempest Energy into his wings, forming an almost impenetrable wind shield around himself.
The arrow clashed against the barrier, sending out a shockwave that rippled across the battlefield.
For a moment, the air trembled, but his wind shield was stronger, and the arrow cracked after clashing for a while and shattered completely.
The Sky General laughed and smirked as he glanced at the shadow. “Futile! Did you really think your little tricks could break my defense?”
But below, Luna wasn’t frowning. Instead she was grinning as that shadow arrow wasn’t the only one.
The moment she released the first arrow, she had already prepared the second and this time, she herself was the arrow.
The moment the first arrow was released, Luna had already adjusted her stance.
She moved around and now her claws were gripping the bow’s handle, while her legs pressed firmly against the bowstring.
She had used her first shot as a distraction and now she pulled herself back by extending her claws forward and pushing her legs below.
She then released herself by letting go of the handle. Like a shadow bullet, Luna launched herself forward, using the bow as a slingshot.
A second arrow that was herself was fired.
The Sky General only smirked as he sensed another incoming attack and scoffed. “Another arrow? You don’t learn, do you?”
But his instincts suddenly screamed at him that this time it was different. This wasn’t a normal attack. This wasn’t just another projectile.
He was surprised the moment he saw the other arrow that was shot toward him. It was not an arrow but Luna.
She wasn’t an ordinary arrow, but the arrow of destruction.
