Chapter 222: Lucius’ Last Gift
Inside the Red Dragon Order’s main hall, Ragnar, Bryson, and Savra sat around a grand obsidian table.
Ragnar let out a long sigh, running a hand through his hair as he leaned back in his chair.
“We won… but somehow… it feels empty.”
Bryson, sitting beside him, sighed as well, rubbing his temples. He then shook his head.
“I know what you mean. It must be because Lucius was always the one who planned everything. Without him… it just doesn’t feel the same.”
The room fell into a silence.
Then—
BANG!
Savra suddenly slammed her fist onto the table, shocking both Ragnar and Bryson.
She glanced at them with frustration as he shouted out loud.
“Bastards! We already won! So why the hell are you two acting like we lost?!”
Ragnar and Bryson looked at her in surprise, not expecting her outburst.
Savra clenched her fists, her body trembling. She was holding back tears, but her voice remained firm and strong.
“Lucius wouldn’t want us to sit around like this, moping! If he were here right now, do you know what he’d be doing?”
She looked at them and answered it herself. “He’d be laughing at us!”
Ragnar’s eyes widened, and Bryson’s jaw tightened.
Savra took a deep breath, steadying herself. “Lucius would mock us for sitting here like cowards instead of moving forward.”
For a moment, neither of them spoke.
Then—
A small smile appeared on Ragnar’s face.
Bryson let out a chuckle, shaking his head. “Yeah… You’re right.”
Ragnar exhaled and smirked. “That bastard wouldn’t let us hear the end of it.”
Savra nodded firmly, “And besides… he won’t die.”
Ragnar and Bryson looked at her in confusion.
Savra leaned forward and smirked. “Like Astorius said, he wasn’t killed—he was banished to another dimension or world.”
She crossed her arms. “Knowing him, he’ll be just fine.”
But then—she hesitated for a moment before adding—
“And don’t forget… he wasn’t alone.”
Ragnar and Bryson froze. He was really confused now.
Ragnar frowned. “What do you mean…?”

Bryson’s eyes narrowed. “Savra… What did you just say?”
Savra took a deep breath and then looked at them both seriously. “Luna and Liora… They were with him when he vanished.”
Silence.
Then—
“WHAT?!”
Both Ragnar and Bryson shot up from their seats, their eyes wide with absolute shock. “What did you just say?!”
Savra crossed her arms as she turned serious, glancing at them. “You may not have realized it, but like Astorius said—Lucius was dangerous and mysterious.”
She took a deep breath and explained it. “The beastman he used in battle wasn’t ordinary.”
Ragnar and Bryson frowned, still processing her words. They didn’t know what she meant.
Savra leaned forward and exposed it. “The one who had fought was Luna, his maid.”
Both of them froze after hearing it. Ragnar’s eyes widened further. “What…?!”
Bryson staggered slightly, his mind racing. “Wait—are you saying—?”
Savra nodded. “Yes. Luna—his personal maid—was his beast. She fused with her contracted beast to fight.”
Ragnar and Bryson were completely stunned. Ragnar then muttered. “You mean to tell me that Lucius’ maid, Luna, was actually his tamed beast?”
Savra nodded firmly. “Yes. And not just Luna—Liora as well. Both of them disappeared the moment Lucius was banished.”
Bryson ran a hand through his hair, exhaling sharply. “So he wasn’t just taming beastmen… He was even taming beast tamers. Is that what you mean?”
Savra nodded. “Exactly. And that’s not all.”
She looked at them both and added seriously. “You both know that Emperor-Level Talent allows a person to tame beastmen, right?”
Both Ragnar and Bryson stiffened.
Ragnar’s jaw clenched. “Yeah… But you’re saying Lucius had something even stronger, a talent that let him tame beast tamers?”
Savra shrugged slightly. “It’s possible. We never really knew his background at all.”
Ragnar and Bryson fell silent because deep down—they both knew she was right.
They had never truly understood Lucius. He was always several steps ahead, but now he was gone.
Savra immediately reached into her spatial ring and pulled out a vial filled with some red pills.
The moment she placed it on the table, Ragnar and Bryson instantly recognized it. The Volcanic Dragon Emperor Talent Pills.
Savra exhaled sharply before saying, “We only have nine left. We need to use these to make our empire the strongest.”
Ragnar and Bryson nodded in unison, clenching their fists. They knew what this meant.
These pills weren’t just rare pills, but they were created by Lucius himself, the final remnants of his genius.
Bryson narrowed his eyes. “With these, we can ensure that Volcaria doesn’t just survive… but thrives.”
Ragnar clenched his jaw. “Yeah. We can’t waste them. We need to choose carefully. Only the best will receive them.”
Savra nodded and gestured toward the vial. “This was Lucius’ final gift to us, so let’s use it and prove to the world that even without him… we can be the best.”
Ragnad and Bryson nodded and then grinned. They had a purpose now and it was to build the Volcanic Dragon Empire.
When Lucius, they could show him that the best empire was made, thanks to him.

Meanwhile, Lucius slowly opened his eyes. His mind felt hazy, his body numb, as he tried to piece together what had happened.
The last thing he remembered was that he was fighting Astorius and suddenly something that he couldn’t quite recall happened. “Did I just lose consciousness?”
Lucius sat up abruptly as he began to scan his surroundings. “Where… am I?”
His gaze flickered across the room and the moment he saw all of it, he gasped.
The walls, the stickers, the TV, the arrangement of the furniture… it made his heart pound.
Slowly, his eyes landed on the desk nearby and there, standing neatly in a row, were several action figures he had long forgotten.
Lucius’ entire body stiffened as he knew where he was. He immediately clenched the bedsheets beneath him as realization struck him. “No way…There is no way in hell that this is right?”
Lucius still couldn’t believe it, as this room was a unique place that had been buried in his forgotten memories.
This room was his, the exact one when he was still a teenager. For the first time in a long, long while, Lucius was truly speechless.
