Chapter 223: Banished! The Supreme Overlord Returns to His Past Life?!
Lucius stood there and scanned the room. It was still surprising to him to find himself in his old room.
It wasn’t just a room, but the one that he had lived in as a mere teenager.
Before working hard as an adult, before he was transferred to another world and before he became the best man of that world.
But something wasn’t right, as how can he be here? It was not only a different world but also in the past.
Lucius closed his eyes for a brief moment to calm himself down. With a flick of his fingers, the familiar interface materialized before him.
He was shocked when he saw quite a list of notifications listed across the screen.

Lucius immediately understood what the system meant. He was banished or forced out or even expelled, if you liked, from that world.
Even though he knew it, it was still shocking for him. To think that it was possible for him to be banished.
He had never considered this to happen. It seems that bastard Astorius had some secret weapon after all, but still he wasn’t angry or regretful at all.
He knew that Volcaria should have won, remembering the state Astorius was in.
He had also prepared a lot of things in the Volcaria estate that were enough for them to raise as an empire in case he died or was banished.
Lucius exhaled slowly as he dismissed the system interface. It was still updating, recalibrating itself to this world, so all he could do for now was wait.
Lucius smirked a little as he was not back in this world where it all began. For now, he would take his time as he stretched his limbs for a rest.
But before Lucius could rest on his bed, the door was opened. He instinctively glanced at the door.
He hadn’t expected anyone, but the moment he glanced at the one who stood there, his breath immediately became ragged.

For the first time in a thousand years, he saw her again, his only family, her sister, Loreia.
She stood in the doorway. Her silver hair was a little bit tangled and her silver eyes were now locked in at him.
She was just as he remembered, beautiful, yet worn out by the responsibilities that she had.
He could see the faint signs of exhaustion on her body. The weight of running this house alone was evident in the way she carried herself.
Old memories flashed through his mind. Their parents had died in a car accident when they were children, leaving her to shoulder the burden of raising him.
And now, after everything, after a lifetime in another world, here she was, exactly as she had been the last time he saw her, albeit younger.
He didn’t think and just moved. Lucius crossed the room directly and wrapped his arms around her.
Loreia was surprised and immediately stiffened. “What—?”
Lucius held her tightly. A thousand years. He had lived and died in another world, fought wars and crushed enemies, ruled over countless lives.
Yet none of that compared to this…this moment, holding the sister he had lost so long ago.
Loreia glanced at Lucius. She was still surprised but worried about him. “Lucius? Are you okay?”
Lucius exhaled, forcing himself to keep his emotions in check. He loosened his hold just enough to look at her. No, no… I just…”
He hesitated, then gave a small smile. “I just missed you, that’s all.”
Loreia frowned. “Missed me? What are you talking about? We saw each other yesterday.”
Lucius stiffened for a fraction of a second before forcing a light chuckle. “Yeah… but I just missed you, that’s all.”
He couldn’t exactly tell her the truth, could he? That he had been gone for a thousand years, living in another world?
That to him, it had been an eternity since he last saw her? No. That was impossible.
So instead, he held onto the moment, letting himself feel the presence of his sister once more, something he never thought he would experience again.
Loreia then grabbed his shoulders and firmly pulled him back. “Okay, enough of that. You’re going to be late for the ceremony.”
Lucius frowned, his mind still sluggish from the overwhelming rush of memories and emotions. “Huh? What ceremony?”
Loreia raised her eyebrow, tilting her head as if he had just said something ridiculous. “The awakening ceremony. You’re seventeen now, Lucius. It’s time for you to awaken as a Beast Tamer.”
Lucius froze. His thoughts immediately stopped for a moment. “What? Beast Tamer?”
Loreia nodded as she turned toward the door. “Yeah. Every seventeen-year-old goes through it. It’s common sense. Now come on, we don’t have time to waste. I’ll take you there myself.”
Lucius remained rooted in his place. His mind was racing as he began to process it. Awakening? Beast Tamer?
His fingers twitched as he thought about it more. This… wasn’t right. This was his world. The one he had been born in, the one he had left behind.
He recognized this house, this city, this life. But this? A ceremony to awaken as a Beast Tamer? That had never existed in his world before.
His eyes darkened. Is this truly my original world… or is it something else entirely? A parallel world? A different dimension?
Lucius clenched his fists, forcing himself to steady his thoughts. No matter what this place is, I’ll figure it out. For now, he needed answers.
Taking a breath, he stepped forward and went out with his sister. “Fine. Let’s go.”
