Chapter 225: No Talent? No Problem! Lucius’ Secret Weapon Finally Activates!
The teacher clapped his hands together. “Now, we will begin the awakening ceremony. I will call your names one by one. When I do, step forward and place your hand on the Awakening Crystal.”
Some students whispered among themselves as they excitedly thought about what talent they would awaken, while the rest sat rigidly, waiting for their turn to step forward and awaken.
On the other hand, Lucius just leaned back against his desk, watching the awakening process with no interest at all.
One by one, names were called and each student stepped forward, placing their hand on the crystal.
Some orbs glow green, signaling a common-tier talent, which was the lowest level.
There were murmurs of disappointment, but no one seemed too surprised, as this was normal.
Then, the unexpected happened. One student placed his hand on the crystal, and a bright blue glow appeared, making the entire class gasp.
The teacher was excited and smiled. “An elite-tier talent! Very good! You have a bright future.”
The student, a boy with slicked-back hair, blinked in disbelief before a wide grin spread across his face.
He laughed before turning to the rest of the class with a smug face. “Did you see that? Elite Tier! Looks like the rest of you are nothing compared to me!”
Lucius exhaled quietly. He had seen a lot of arrogant people like this before. They always thought their temporary advantage meant they were superior.
Then the teacher continued and called his name. “Next one, please come forward, Lucius Luxoria.”
Lucius paused. It had been a long time since he heard that name. He had almost forgotten that he once carried a family name.
Lucius exhaled softly and stepped forward. There was no nervousness and no hesitation. He stood in front of the crystal and was quite curious about it.
The teacher gestured toward the Awakening Crystal. “Lucius, please place your hand on the orb.”
Without hesitation, Lucius put his hand on the crystal and waited for it to react.
For a moment, nothing happened. Even after one whole minute, the crystal remained completely dark.
The teacher sighed and shook his head, as he already knew what this meant. “I’m sorry… but it seems you have not awakened.”
Some students whispered among themselves as they were quite sorry about me, and a few of them smirked as they were better than him.
Lucius could hear what they were talking about, but he didn’t react at all. There wasn’t a need to.
Without a word, he turned away and went back but not toward his seat, but the door.
The teacher was surprised. “L-Lucius, where are you going? We are still in the middle of the class.”
Lucius didn’t bother answering. He had no reason to stay in this class. It was just a waste of time.
He had already passed through school once in his last life, and even if this version was different, it didn’t change the fact that he had no need for it.
The internet exists. He could find out everything he needed from there and unlike these people, he didn’t need this so-called “awakening.”

Lucius arrived back at his apartment. As expected, Loreia was still working, likely handling household matters.
Without wasting time, he settled onto his chair, pulling out his old phone to search for information on this world.
His fingers moved swiftly as he navigated through various sources, absorbing everything available.
Beast Tamers existed here, just like in his past world, but with some key differences.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
In his old world, the cultivation system revolved around nine-star ranks that dictated power and strength.
Here, however, there were only two recognized stages for those who wielded beasts.
Beast Tamer was the standard path, where an individual tamed beasts and commanded them in battle. This much was the same.
The second stage, which was the next stage, was a beast fighter. It was also quite the same as his past world.
But the difference was that they fought by either fusing with beasts or turning their beasts into weapons.
Lucius leaned back slightly. He had seen beast fusion, but he had never seen beast weaponization.
He then continued. The three-tier talent system remained consistent with what the teacher had explained:
The common tier was the weakest, followed by the elite tier and the best one was the sovereign tier.
However, there was also another detail about the talent aside from the number of beasts they could control.
It was about the stats conversion rates during the fusion of beast weaponization.
Common-tier will result in 100% power conversion. If a Beast Fighter fused with their beast, they would only receive the full base stats of the creature.
Elite-tier, on the other hand, got 300% power conversion. Three times the beast’s power when fused.
Sovereign-Tier, which was the best talent, got 1000% power conversion. An overwhelming tenfold increase in strength.
Lucius narrowed his eyes. That changes everything. For a Sovereign-Tier talent, one powerful beast could turn them into an absolute monster on the battlefield.
Even if someone had only a single beast, with a 1000% conversion rate, they would easily crush any common-tier tamer and even elite-tier ones.
Aside from these differences, everything else seemed the same. Society functioned similarly. The technology remained at a comparable level.
The civilization had also adapted to the existence of beasts, just as one would expect.
Lucius turned off his phone. He tapped his fingers lightly against the table. “This world… It’s close to my original but really different at the same time.”
Then suddenly he felt refreshed and he immediately knew what it was. He opened his system to check if it was completed.

Lucius smirked as finally the system, the very thing that had been his greatest asset in his past world, had been finished updating.
He had been forcefully thrown into this new world, stripped of his previous cultivation, denied an awakening, and marked as “talentless” by this world’s standards.
But none of that mattered anymore because his system was back. Lucius then leaned back in his chair, grinning. “Let’s see what’s changed.”
