Chapter 230: Too Weak to Survive? Luna and Liora Make a Bold Proposal!
Loxen stared at Loreia and was surprised when she saw her passed out, just from seeing his body and bloodied mouth.
He tilted his head slightly. He was still in disbelief. This was supposed to be Master Lucius’s sister but how could she be so weak?
From what Loxen remembered, his master, Lucius, had once cut off a person’s head, pulled out their brain and examined it. He did all of that without blinking.
And yet, this woman fainted just because of a little fear. Loxen was genuinely shocked, but in the end, an order was an order.
He exhaled through his nose, shaking off his thoughts. He was about to pick her up and bring her back to Lucius when something caught his attention.
His nose twitched as he smelled a delicious scent. He instinctively turned to the side.
Near Loreia’s fallen body, he saw a plastic bag that was filled with the food she just bought. Loxen soon walked toward it.
He had seen humans carrying food in these kinds of containers before. It was wrapped in something, but that didn’t matter. He knew how to open it.
With a precise swipe of his paw, he tore the plastic open and the aroma hit him instantly. They were Fried Pluckins.
He took the first bite and in that moment, his eyes were widened in shock.
It was… amazing. The texture was crispy, the meat was tender, and the seasoning was perfect. Not too weak, not too strong.
Loxen froze for a second, then immediately devoured everything. He ate all the fried Pluckins, his tail flicking in pure satisfaction.
When he was done, he even found a drink. He bit through the lid, tilted it up, and drank the refreshing berry fizz.
He exhaled deeply, licking his lips. “…Humans really know how to make good food.”
Feeling satisfied, Loxen finally turned back to Loreia. She picked her up and melded into the shadow. It was time to bring her back.
—
Lucius had just finished his bath and sat on the sofa. His silver hair was even still wet.
He was leaning back and relaxing as he waited for his dear sister to return.
But suddenly, a shadow flickered in the room and Loxen appeared from it.
Lucius wasn’t shocked by Loxen’s presence but by what he saw on Loxen’s back.
Loreia was on her back and unconscious. Lucius frowned after seeing this situation.
He stood up and lifted Loreia off Loxen’s back and gently laid her onto the sofa.
His eyes narrowed the moment he saw her ripped clothes. He was immediately angry.
His gaze snapped to Loxen. “What happened to her? Didn’t you protect her?”
Loxen nodded, letting out a low growl as if explaining that he had indeed protected Loreia.
But the ones who attacked her had already ripped her clothes apart before he could intervene.
Loxen growled again, his tail flicking. He had acted fast enough and killed them before they could do anything further.
Lucius’ expression darkened further as his fists tightened. “Who were they?”
Loxen let out another low growl, explaining that he had overheard their conversation. They were seniors from Loreia’s workplace.
Lucius’ eyes turned ice-cold. His hands clenched harder, the veins in his forearms slightly bulging. “How dare they do this to my sister?”

His gaze then shifted to Loxen’s bloodied fangs. “So, did you kill them?”
Loxen nodded and flexed his bloodied fangs and claws with a bit of flesh remaining on them.
Lucius exhaled slowly and smirked while patting Loxen’s head. “Good boy.”
Before Lucius could return his focus to Loreia, Luna stepped forward.
She glanced at Lucius and became serious. “Master, I need to speak with you.”
Lucius turned to her, raising his eyebrow. “What did you want to talk about, Luna?”
Luna’s gaze flickered briefly toward Loreia, then back to Lucius. “Master, don’t you think we need to train her?”
Lucius frowned as his gaze shifted to Loreia before back to Luna. “What do you mean?”
Luna remained composed. “Master, I understand that this is your original world, but the situation here… it’s the same as our previous one.”
Lucius’ eyes narrowed slightly, listening to what Luna meant by that.
Luna continued, “There is a clear hierarchy here. And just like before, only the strong can live safely.”
She glanced at Loreia again. “Your sister is kind. But, Master… kindness can be a poison in a world like this.”
Lucius clenched his fists. “But she’s my sister. I can’t just—”
Before he could finish, Luna interrupted. She needed to remind Lucius of the truth. “I know, Master. She’s your sister. And that’s exactly why we must do this.”
She took a step forward. “Being kind is a poison. Just like in our previous world.”
Luna reminded him again. “Those who are too kind are the first to be taken advantage of. We cannot allow that to happen again.”
Lucius remained silent, his expression unreadable. He didn’t know what to do.
Luna then kneeled before him. “Me and Liora will train her. We will make her stronger, but in a way that suits her.”
Luna raised her finger. “We’ll start in the virtual world first, where she can grow without real danger.”
She lowered her head. “Please, Master. For your sake. And for your sister’s.”
Lucius froze. For the first time in a long while, he didn’t know how to respond.
Liora stepped forward as she agreed with Luna. “Master, Luna is right.”
She lowered her head slightly. “Please, Master. For the sake of our family.”
Lucius let out a long sigh, rubbing his temples. They weren’t wrong. He knew that. But still…
He glanced at Loreia, who was still unconscious on the sofa. She had no real power. If something like this happened again, and Loxen hadn’t been there…
He exhaled deeply and nodded. “Fine. I’ll let you train her, but don’t push too much. I don’t want her to suffer.”
Luna and Liora smirked slightly. They were pleased with their master’s decision.
