Chapter 241: Merciless Bandits Lurk in the Shadows… And Luna & Liora Are Their Prey!
Not too far from Luna and Liora’s location, hidden among the rocky terrain, a group of rough men gathered.
They were not ordinary men, as they were the bandits. They were merciless hunters who had adapted to survive in this deadly A-Rank Beast Zone.
Because they had lived among these dangerous creatures for years, they were stronger than most ordinary Beast Fighters.
Their strength wasn’t just from talent. It was from ruthless survival.
One of the scouts crouched on a jagged rock and could see the bright glow of Leon’s silver flames in the distance.
He smirked before quickly turning back toward his leader. “Boss, we got something. Looks like new prey just wandered in. They’re fighting in the Pyrolf territory.”
The leader of the bandits, a large man with scarred arms and cold, predatory eyes, was sitting lazily on a boulder, chewing on a dried piece of beast meat.
He raised his eyebrow, grinning slightly. “New prey? Hah. It’s been a while since we’ve had a fresh hunt.”
One of the bandits laughed. “What kind of dumbasses just walk into our hunting ground? They must have a death wish.”
Another bandit clicked his tongue, shaking his head. “Probably some wannabe adventurers looking for easy beast cores.”
Another bandit shrugged. “Tch. Amateurs. They’re in an A-Rank Zone. No one comes here unless they’re strong or stupid.”
Then one of the excited bandits asked. “Then should we go greet them?”
The leader chuckled, tossing his half-eaten meat aside and standing up. The leader then stretched, rolling his shoulders. “Of course, we do.”
He was also excited. “It’s been way too long since any good prey wandered in. Let’s welcome them properly.”
A taller, thinner bandit leaned forward, grinning. “Think they’re worth the effort?”
The leader smirked. “Does it matter? If they have anything valuable, we take it. If they’re strong, we kill them. If they’re weak… well, you know how we do things.”
The bandits grinned, some already gripping their weapons, others whispering eagerly.
“Heh, finally! I was getting bored of just hunting beasts.”
“Hah! Fresh bodies, fresh loot! This is going to be fun!”
One of the bandits licked his lips, laughing. “If they’re decent-looking, maybe we don’t kill ’em right away. Could have some fun first.”
The leader shot him a look, his grin fading into a frown. “We kill them. We don’t play with our food.”
The bandit gulped, nodding quickly. “Y-Yeah, of course, boss. Just saying.”
The leader’s grin returned. “Good. Now, let’s move.”
With that, the bandits began preparing, eyes filled with murderous intent. Their prey was close.
Unaware of the hunters approaching, Luna and Liora continued deeper into the beast zone.
The hunt had begun.
—
Luna and Liora moved deeper into the A-Rank Beast Zone.
So far, most of the beasts they had encountered were the Red Wolves.
They were fast and aggressive, but against Loxen and Leon, they were nothing but easy targets.

Luna grinned, casually flipping her hair. “Tsk. They really don’t learn, do they?”
Liora sighed. “They’re beasts, Luna. They act on instinct. You can’t expect them to understand they’re already dead.”
Luna chuckled, stepping forward. “Well, I love watching them realize it too late.”
She snapped her fingers. “Loxen, clean this up.”
Loxen growled in response, his body instantly melting into the shadows.
The wolves tensed, sniffing the air, but Loxen was already gone.”Foolish things,”
Luna mused. “They always ignore the real threat until it’s too late.”
Just as the first wolf lunged at her, Loxen’s shadow clones erupted from the darkness, tearing into them from all sides.
Meanwhile, Leon let out a low growl, his silver mane flaring like liquid fire.
The remaining wolves froze, their bodies trembling as Leon’s overwhelming aura weighed down on them.
Liora watched them struggle, emotionless. “They can feel it now.”
Luna smirked. “Oh? That creeping feeling in their bones? The realization that they’re nothing but prey? I love this part.”
Leon opened his massive jaws, heat radiating from within.
And a devastating burst of silver fire engulfed the remaining wolves.
Luna dusted her hands off, watching the last flames die down. “Too easy.”
Liora walked over to the corpses, nudging the ashes with her foot. “How many beast cores do we have now?”
Luna thought for a moment, counting mentally. “About thirty.”
Liora nodded, satisfied. “I see.”
She glanced around the wasteland. “Let’s keep going. We need a lot more for Master.”
Luna grinned, stretching her arms. “Yeah, yeah. Let’s just hope we run into something actually strong soon.”
Liora glanced at her, unimpressed. “You do realize we need to get the beast cores, not just fight for fun, right?”
Luna shrugged, grinning. “Who says I can’t do both? Besides, we’re in an A-Rank Zone. If all we fight are these wolves, I’m going to be disappointed.”
Liora sighed, shaking her head. “Try not to jinx us.”
With that, the two continued their hunt, unaware that a different kind of predator was already hunting them.
—
The group of bandits arrived at the first battlefield where Luna and Liora had fought.
What they saw made them surprised. The only remnants of the Pyrolf pack were the stench of burnt flesh.
One of the bandits crouched down, running his fingers through the ashes. His expression twisted in confusion.
“Boss… this is insane. The Pyrolfs were fire beasts, yet they were completely incinerated.”
Another bandit kicked at the remains, his brow furrowing. “Burned into nothing but dust… what the hell did this?”
The leader of the bandits stood still, crossing his arms. He observed the scene with amusement before smirking. “They’re stronger than I thought.”
One of his men chuckled. “You sound excited, boss.”
The leader grinned. “Of course, I am. Strong prey makes for the most entertaining hunts.”
One of the bandits hesitated. “But if they’re this strong, should we really go after them? If they can turn Pyrolfs into ashes, they might not be easy to deal with.”
The leader scoffed, stepping forward. “Don’t be an idiot. That just means they’re worth the effort.”
He cracked his neck, smirking. “Besides, it’s been too long since I’ve had a real challenge.”
Another bandit grinned. “Well, I guess that means we’ll be hunting properly today.”
The leader looked at the trail of footprints leading further into the A-Rank Zone. “They didn’t go far. Let’s move. The hunt is on.”
With that, the bandits followed the trail, their eyes filled with murderous intent.
Unaware of the danger approaching, Luna and Liora continued deeper into the beast zone.
