Chapter 305: Lucius’s Oversight
Liora crossed her arms, glancing at Lucius.
“Master, it seems that when you hacked Leon… you forgot something.”
Lucius frowned slightly, tilting his head.
“Forgot?”
His eyes narrowed as he studied Liora’s expression.
“What did I forget? Can you elaborate, please?”
Liora sighed, shaking her head.
“It’s better if I just show you, Master.”
Without wasting time, she summoned Leon.
A surge of silver flames ignited, and in an instant, Leon stood before them.
Liora turned toward Leon.
“Leon. Transform into a tank.”
Leon’s flames pulsed, then flickered in confusion.
He tilted his head slightly, clearly not understanding the command.
Liora let out a deep sigh, then turned back to Lucius with a knowing smirk.
“See, Master? Leon doesn’t know what a tank is.”
Lucius blinked once. Then twice.
Then—
He laughed.
An amused chuckle escaped his lips as he ran a hand through his hair.
“Ahh… I see now.”
Luna and Loreia exchanged glances, confused.
Luna raised her eyebrow. “Wait… what’s the issue?”
Loreia quickly put the pieces together.
“Master gave him the power… but not the knowledge to use it.”
Lucius grinned, shaking his head.
“Exactly. I hacked him into a war beast, but I completely forgot to give him knowledge of war weapons.”
He chuckled again.
“That’s why he doesn’t know what a tank is. He has the ability to transform, but he doesn’t even know what he’s supposed to transform into.”
Liora smirked, stepping forward.

“So, Master… you’ll fix it, right?”
Lucius grinned back.
“Of course. I’ll handle it.”
Liora smiled, nodding.
“Thank you, Master.”
Lucius raised his hand, preparing to launch his next hack modification.
“System.”
His smirk widened.
“Hack Leon. Send him into a full year of a brutal, tragic war inside a hyper-realistic virtual world.”
Luna and Loreia stiffened slightly, their eyes widening.
Liora, on the other hand, simply nodded, understanding immediately.
Lucius continued.
“Inject him with complete knowledge of all war weapons—tanks, artillery, air support, explosives, siege weaponry…”
His grin sharpened.
“Also, give him full mastery over different transformation forms—whether it’s animal, humanoid, or aerial combat forms.”
He paused briefly, then added one final modification.
“And while we’re at it… let’s throw in some martial arts knowledge. It’ll make him even deadlier in any form.”

Leon’s flames dimmed, his body collapsing into a deep sleep.
His entire form relaxed, but the aura around him remained intense.
Lucius exhaled, smirking as he turned toward Liline.
“Put Leon in the same kind of reinforced cage as Dreadmaw.”
Liline nodded instantly, raising her hand.
The castle shifted, forming a second impenetrable containment zone around Leon.
Luna let out a low whistle, her eyes flickering with interest.
“Master, you really don’t hold back, huh?”
Loreia shook her head, watching Leon’s sleeping form.
“A whole year of war? And learning weapons, transformations, and martial arts? That’s insane…”
Liora grinned, placing her hand on her hip.
“It’s exactly what he needs. He’ll wake up tomorrow and finally understand how to use the power Master gave him.”
Lucius chuckled, nodding.
“Exactly. By tomorrow, he’ll be an entirely different beast.”
Lucius then turned his attention to Dreadmaw.
“But still, Liora… this beast is on a whole other level.”
Liora nodded, arms crossed, her eyes sharp as she looked at Dreadmaw.
“Yeah. It was way harder to catch than Vorafang. I had to be careful. If I wasn’t, it could have easily turned me into ash.”
Lucius grinned slightly, nodding.
“Of course. From the data alone, I can already see just how strong it is.”
He glanced at her, his expression turning slightly serious.
“Honestly? You were lucky to manage to capture it.”
Liora smirked.
“Heh. I don’t rely on luck, Master. Just skill.”
Lucius chuckled. “Fair enough.”
Luna, standing beside them, tilted her head, studying the beast.
“So, this will be our second SS-Rank beast for sale?”
Lucius nodded without hesitation.
“Of course, it is.”
Luna crossed her arms, a curious look on her face.
“Then, Master, are you planning to hack it?”
Lucius shook his head immediately.
“Of course not.”
Luna raised an eyebrow. “Why not? You hacked Leon.”
Lucius frowned, answering her.
“Because it’s too expensive to hack an SS-Rank beast.”
Liora and Loreia both nodded, understanding instantly.
Luna, however, still seemed unconvinced.
“But imagine how much stronger it could become—”
Lucius cut her off, shaking his head again.
“That’s not the point. This beast is not even our Luxoria Castle’s special beast.”
Luna frowned slightly, crossing her arms. “Then what do you mean, Master?”
Lucius smirked, leaning back slightly.
“I’d rather hack a beast that actually fits our specialty.”
He glanced toward Liline, then back at Luna and Loreia.
“For example… Vornis.”
Liora tilted her head. “Vornis? But that’s just an A-Rank beast. Why would you prioritize it over hacking an SS-Rank?”
Lucius grinned.
“Because Vornis is our specialized beast. It’s designed by me, created for sale in Luxoria Castle.”
Luna’s eyes flickered with understanding.
“So rather than making one overpowered SS-Rank beast that doesn’t represent our shop, you’d rather improve what we sell in mass?”
Lucius nodded.
“Exactly. If we make Vornis better, stronger, and smarter… it will dominate the beast market completely.”
Loreia sighed, shaking her head.
“That makes sense. You’re thinking of long-term success instead of short-term gains.”
Lucius smirked.
“That’s why I’m the Master.”
Then—
His expression shifted slightly as he thought deeper.
“And… thinking about it more, Vornis also doesn’t seem to have full knowledge of being a war beast.”
He turned to Liline.
“Liline, I remember there was one more Vornis kept here as I instructed before, right?”
Liline nodded gracefully.
“Yes, Master. One was kept in containment per your orders.”
Lucius grinned.
“Good. Bring it here.”
Liline bowed slightly, then turned to retrieve the beast.
