Chapter 40: Kaelix’s Complaint
Kaelix immediately went to the administration office. He was now angry as he stopped at the front desk and immediately slammed his hand on it.

The receptionist was a bit startled as Kaelix suddenly shouted at him, “Explain to me right now just how my residence, House Number One, is suddenly reassigned without my knowledge.”

The receptionist then calmed herself down and began to check about it in the system and after finding it, she immediately looked at Kaelix.

She then immediately explained it: “Kaelix Kryndal, I find that you have been reassigned to House Number Two within the Golden Section.”

Kaelix, who heard it, was really surprised as he said, “Reassigned? House Number One belongs to me. I’ve lived there since my arrival!”

The receptionist kept her calm as she explained. “I understand your frustration, Mr. Kaelix, but according to the system, the reassignment is valid. House Number One now belongs to another student.”

Kaelix who heard it became even angrier as he clenched his fists. “Who? Who had the audacity to take my residence?”

The receptionist then immediately told him the one who had taken his residence to stop his complaint. “The new occupant is a member of the Volcaria family.”

Kaelix, who heard it, was a bit shocked. It was because the Volcaria family was a renowned family but he was also suspicious about something as he just realized it.

Kaelix then immediately glared at the receptionist, “You say that the new occupant was a member of the Volcaria family but the only Volcaria here is Magnus, and he’s a tamer. He has no business in the Evolist section.”

The receptionist then explained it to make it clearer. “He is a new member of the Volcaria family and according to the system, he is an adopted one.”

Kaelix, who heard it, immediately smirked as he said, “An adopted member,huh? So, he is just some lucky outsider they decided to adopt. Is that supposed to intimidate me?”

The receptionist then began to become serious as he warned him. “I would still advise caution, Mr. Kaelix. While he may be adopted, he is still under the Volcaria banner, and that family does not take challenges lightly.”

Kaelix only sneered, “The Volcarias may be powerful, but an adopted member? He’s nothing more than a coward hiding behind their name. I’ve earned my rank through talent and skill, not through adoption papers.”

The receptionist could only sighed after hearing what he said. “If you wish to complain more, you’ll need to speak with the headmaster, as he is the one who reassigned the residences, not me.”

The receptionist also warned him once more. “I will warn you one more time not to mess with him. The academy will not help you if you mess up.”

Kaelix only waved his hand and smirked. “I don’t need your warnings. I’ll deal with this my own way, so good bye.”

The receptionist only sighed as she didn’t want to argue with him. “As you wish, Mr. Kaelix. Your new residence is House Number Two. It’s ready for you whenever you choose to move in.”

Kaelix then turned around and soon exited the administration office. He also muttered, “An adopted Volcaria dares to step into my territory? Let’s see how long he lasts.”

Kaelix then immediately went to his new residence, which was House Number Two. Before he entered it, he turned to see House Number One for one last time.

“I’ll teach this outsider exactly why I’m the Rank 1 Evolist here soon enough,” he muttered before entering his new residence.

Lucius, who was the one being targeted by Kaelix, was currently sitting peacefully in his room while reading the academy’s guidebook.

The guidebook was detailed as it mentioned the rules, schedules, and structure of Astra Academy. Lucius was also surprised that what Ragnar said was the truth.

Luna and Liora only stood in silence, watching Lucius read the guidebook. They were also quite curious about it.

Luna suddenly stepped closer and asked Lucius about the guidebook. “Master, what have you found that makes you so excited?”

Lucius turned to Luna for a minute before returning to the guidebook. “I have found that this academy isn’t like those common institutions. The freedom it grants is too good to be true.”

Liora, who heard it, was surprised and confused at the same time. She then raised an eyebrow and asked. “Freedom, Master? In what way?”

Lucius chuckled and then closed the book and set it aside. He also began to explain it. “For starters, attendance in classes is optional. As long as I pass the exams, it doesn’t matter if I attend the classes or not.”

Luna was surprised the moment she heard it. “Optional classes? How generous of them. I assume that this ‘freedom’ is meant for those stupid nobles.”

Lucius nodded, agreeing with what Luna had said. “You are not wrong, as I now think that the academy is not made for people but for nobles to grow stronger.”

Lucius then began to explain what he meant. “This academy follows the law of the jungle, which is to let the strong become stronger and the weak become weaker.”

Lucius also told them why he thought that. “We can see it from their policy on combat. Fights are not only allowed but encouraged as long as there is no teacher present and no one dies.”

Liora soon smirked upon hearing it. “No deaths, huh? How… considerate of them but that still leaves plenty of room for pain.”

Lucius smirked after hearing her. “Indeed. Injuries, humiliation, dominance… all of them are acceptable. This academy doesn’t train the noble elite; it weeds out the unworthy through survival of the fittest.”

Luna also smirked as she told Lucius. “This place sounds like it was designed for you, Master. No rules to hold you back, no oversight to limit your ambitions.”

Lucius laughed after hearing it. “You’re not wrong. This academy is the perfect stage for me. Also tomorrow morning, there’s an open class scheduled. I might attend to observe the competition.”

Liora stepped forward and kneeled. “Do you require protection, Master? I will accompany you and ensure no one dares challenge your authority.”

Lucius only nodded and said, “Sure, you can accompany me to tomorrow’s class, Liora. Luna, you can stay here for the moment.”

Luna nodded after she was ordered. “Yes, Master. I will make sure to keep your residence clean when you are away.”

Liora also nodded. “Thank you, Master. I will not let you down and I will not let anybody dare to hurt you.”

Lucius only smirked after hearing both words from his slave. He then looked outside the window. He was now waiting for what story he could see tomorrow.
