Chapter 45: Liora’s Vow
Kaelix was surprised to see that his Thunder Eagle collapsed instantly. It’s aura also began to dissipate at a rapid rate, making Kaelix confused.

Kaelix could only shout in shock seeing the scene, “What the hell is happening here? Thunder Eagle, try to get up!”

The Thunder Eagle screeched as it tried to get up, but still, it was too weak to move as the effect of the pill erasure was too much.

Lucius chuckled the moment he looked at the Thunder Eagle and began to mock Kaelix. “It seems that your pill wasn’t as amazing as you thought, Kaelix.”

Kaelix, who heard what Lucius was saying, became frustrated immediately. “It is impossible! The pill shouldn’t have worn off this quickly! What did you do, Lucius?”

Lucius didn’t even bother to answer him. He soon turned to Liora, who was currently seriously injured but was still ready to fight.

Lucius then began to calm Liora down, “Liora, you’ve done enough for now. Let’s return. You’re injured, and I’ll need you at your best for what’s to come.”

Liora, who heard what Lucius said, hesitated a moment as she didn’t like the idea of leaving without finishing the fight. But still, Lucius was her master, so she could only nod and leave. “As you wish, Master.”

Kaelix, who saw Lucius turn his back on him, instantly became angry as he shouted. “Don’t you dare walk away from me! This isn’t over! I’ll make you regret ever crossing me!”

Lucius only chuckled as he turned back on him and said, “Kaelix, I have let you walk away with that little pride that you have left. You should be thanking me instead of yapping like a cornered dog.”

Kaelix clenched his fist as he was so angry and before he could respond, Lucius immediately raised his hand to silence him.

“And also one more thing. Next time you challenge me, try to make sure you are prepared. Without that little pill of yours, you are nothing more than a dog before me. You better scram and don’t waste my time again.”

Lucius immediately left with Liora after saying it toward Kaelix. Liora also said to Kaelix before leaving. “If my master permits it, I have finished both of you and your beasts, so you better not provoke master again or else.”

Kaelix stood there, watching both Lucius and Liora leave him. He could not talk back because what Lucius said was the truth, and he could win because he had the pill.

Kaelix could only be frustated as he recalled his Thunder Eagle back into his beast space. He then went back to his own residence but in his mind he was really angry at Lucius.

“Lucius, you may have won today, but I swear on my name, you will regret this. I will make sure of it.” Kaelix said in his mind before leaving.

Back in his residence, Lucius was now sitting on his sofa while looking at Liora, who was now a bit nervous in front of him.

Lucius also thought about something. “Does she need to evolve again, but she has just advanced to 2-Star not too long ago? Pushing her further so soon might attract unnecessary attention and I don’t want that.”

Liora then immediately kneeled as she suddenly declared, “Master, I will train harder. I won’t tarnish your name anymore. I will ensure that no one dares to look down upon you.”

Lucius, who heard what Liora just said, smirked. “I don’t doubt your loyalty or your abilities, Liora. Your performance today was quite satisfactory.”

Lucius then stood up and turned his back on him while telling her, “For now, focus on honing your strength. The equipment here is more than enough for you. Use them wisely.”

Liora, who heard Lucius, only nodded as she vowed, “Yes, Master. I will not fail you. I will become stronger, so that no one can ever dare insult your name again.”

Lucius only smirked upon hearing it. “I hope that you do. Your loyalty is valuable, but strength commands respect. Show them what a true servant of mine is capable of.”

Liora soon rose up and immediately left the room. She then immediately went to the training room to train herself.

After she arrived at the room, she could see that there were a lot of training equipments, and she didn’t know what all of them could do, so she just tested them one by one.

Meanwhile, Lucius immediately turned his attention to the pill that was now in his system’s Eternal Vault. He was curious about its effect.

Unfortunately, Lucius’s system, the Beast Hack System, could not scan any item like this. Only natural materials could only be scanned by the system and only beasts could be hacked using the system.

Lucius could only sigh as he began to look around the room. The room he was currently in was actually a specialized room for Evolists.

There was a machine like the Evolution Essence Maker, the same as the one that the professor used this morning. The machine was quite glossy and also only had about two buttons.

Lucius could also see that five empty vials were being put inside the machine, each of them being connected with something like a pipe. Next to the machine, there was also a manual on how to use it.
