Chapter 51: Lava Tortoise vs Gale Wolf (2)
Dreston soon looked at his Gale Wolf again and commanded. “This time use your Zephyr Howl again! Push your agility to the limit!”

The Gale Wolf let out a piercing howl; the wind that was swirling around its body became even more intense as it began to become a whirlwind.

Dreston then pointed at the Lava Tortoise, “Now, use Wind Slash, but this time hold it in your claws. Build the attack for maximum impact!”

The Gale Wolf howled as its claws began to glow as wind energy began to gather all the wind energy. With each second, the energy grew sharper and denser.

The Gale Wolf also took some steps behind and crouched down. It was preparing its stance to launch himself, as it wanted to strike in close range for the maximum damage.

Magnus only smirked upon seeing the Gale Wolf. He only turned to Dreston and mocked, “Go ahead. Let’s see just what you have got, Dreston!”

The Gale Wolf, who had gathered enough energy, was about to move and strike Lava Tortoise, but suddenly it stopped.

Dreston, who noticed his beast’s hesitation, frowned. The Gale Wolf just paused and didn’t want to move at all. “What are you doing? Attack!”

But the Gale Wolf still didn’t move. Instead, it hesitated a bit as it looked at the area around. Dreston also took a closer look and was surprised by what he saw.

Magnus, who saw the surprised Dreston, only laughed out loud, “Finally figured it out, have you?”

Dreston frowned after seeing that the area around Gale Wolf was now being covered with a pool of lava, which was the remnants of the Lava Tortoise’s Lava Spit attack.

Dreston looked at Magnus and he immediately scolded him, “You Bastard, did you plan all of this?”

Magnus only smirked after hearing his words, “Of course I am. Did you think that my Lava Tortoise was just spitting lava aimlessly?”

Magnus also gestured towards the lava pool, “I have calculated every attack. You were so busy focusing on your attacks that you didn’t even notice your precious wolf was being surrounded.”

Dreston was now panicking. He didn’t want to lose in this match, as he was a noble. He tried to calm himself down now so he could find a way for him to turn the situation around.

He then noticed that there was quite an area around Gale Wolf. “Step back and gather momentum to take a stance. We are going all in!”

The Gale Wolf obeyed, carefully retreating to the edges of the lava pools. It crouched low, its glowing claws scraping against the ground as it built up energy.

Magnus raised an eyebrow while looking at it, “Oh? Still trying? I admire your determination, Dreston. Just try to entertain me.”

Dreston ignored him as he locked in the Lava Tortoise. “Gale Wolf, charge now! Use Full-Power Gale Dash, and finish it with Wind Slash!”

The Gale Wolf then let out a fierce how as it began to launch itself forward. Its claws were already glowed as it was about to strike Lava Tortoise.

Magnus only smirked upon seeing the incoming Gale Wolf. He immediately raised his hand and shouted, “Lava Tortoise, activate Flame Aura and charge! Ram it with your shell!”

The Lava Tortoise then immediately took a stance and with its powerful limb, it launched himself toward the incoming Gale Wolf.

The Gale Wolf had prepared its claws and the Lava Tortoise immediately retracted all of its body inside the molten shell, leaving its shell to do the job.

The Gale Wolf’s Wind Slash struck first, the sharp claws managing to leave faint marks on the tortoise’s molten shell. But the energy wasn’t enough to stop the Lava Tortoise’s momentum.

Magnus smirked upon watching the scene and shouted, “You thought speed alone could stop us? You are too stupid!”

The molten shell then slammed into the gale Gale Wolf with a deafening crash. The Gale Wolf was unable to resist it and was thrown backward.

It was pushed back and fell into one of the lava pools that were scattered across the battlefield. Its fur and flesh were also burned by the lava pool.

Dreston was panicking, seeing that his Gale Wolf was howling in pain. He immediately opened his beast portal and pulled it from the lava pool.

Dreston stood frozen for a moment as his hand trembled slightly before clenching into fists. He tried to force himself to be proud.

However, Magnus didn’t miss it as he folded his arms. He immediately smirked as he mocked him, “Looks like your speed couldn’t save you after all. Better luck next time, Dreston.”

The arena fell silent for a moment before the announcer began to shout out loud with his magic item, “The winner of this match was… Magnus Volcaria! That makes it five wins in a row for the rising star of the Volcaria family!”

Magnus turned back to Daxton and smirked, “You put up a good fight; I’ll give you that. But next time, try bringing a beast that can handle the heat.”

Dreston didn’t smile at all and said coldly, “Don’t get too comfortable, Volcaria. You may have won this round, but this isn’t over.”

Magnus only laughed out loud, “I’ll be waiting, Dreston. Come back when you’re ready for another lesson.”

Meanwhile, Lucius and Luna were smirking, as they found it quite entertaining after watching the battle between Magnus and Dreston.

Lucius also said, “Magnus has finally understood the taste of power. That is why he can be that confident.”

Luna, who leaned at him, also nodded as she excitedly said, “Yes, Master. He is not the same timid fool who doubted himself anymore.”

Lucius chuckled as he said, “Of course he’s changed, Luna. I made sure of it. I am the one who had given him the chance to do so.”

Luna then smirked and said, “Then, Master, should we go down and remind him who was the one who let him gain his confidence back?”

Lucius then nodded, “Yeah, it is time for a new instruction.” With that, Luna, who had been following him from behind, began to smirk as they were about to meet Magnus.
