Chapter 53: Magnus’ Open Challenge
The announcer was now standing on the raised platform that was specifically made for the announcer. He then looked at Magnus, wanting to confirm it one last time.

Magnus looked at the announcer, who looked at him. Magnus smirked and nodded as he stood in the center of the arena.

The announcer could only sigh, but he was also really excited as he was about to announce something really amazing. He then began to raise his mic.

The announcer then began to excitedly announce, “Ladies and gentlemen! Hold onto your seats, because we have a new shocking turn of events!”

The spectators who were just about to leave the arena were suddenly surprised as they heard the announcer. They were also interested in it, as they immediately went back to their seats.

The announcer then raised his voice and continued, “Lord Magnus has declared that he will not only continue fighting today but will issue an open challenge to all Golden Class students and below!”

The spectators who heard it were really surprised after hearing it. Magnus had just fought 5 battles that day, but now he wanted more.

The announcer also excitedly continued, “This is no ordinary challenge, as there are some rules that will really excite you all.”

The announcer then began to tell them about the rules: “Here are the rules: Any challenger or even a team made up to three challengers can enter the arena and challenge Lord Magnus.”

The announcer also announced the prize for winning. “And also, why don’t we talk about the prize here? Let me tell you the prize for beating Lord Magnus is 6,000 Beast Coins.”

The spectators were now really excited hearing that they could fight Magnus with a team but after hearing the prize, they even became more excited.

The announcer also raised his hand to stop their excitement: “Hold your horses, dear challengers! You should also think about competing individually or as a team, as the team will split the prize.”

The announcer also finally announced the length of the challenge: “The open challenge will also last until the end of the day, so you better hurry to challenge Lord Magnus or you will not have the chance to win the prize.”

The announcer then also began to look at the spectators after he announced it and was surprised to see that the spectators were all excited.

The announcer then finally encouraged them for the last time: “Now, do you all dare to face Magnus Volcaria and prove your worth? Or will you leave the arena today as cowards?”

Magnus, who heard what the announcer said, then began to summon his beast. A portal soon appeared, and the Lava Tortoise immediately went out and entered the arena with full power.

Magnus then looked at the crowd and immediately shouted out, “You heard him! I don’t care if you are one person or three. Step in the arena and fight me!”

Magnus also then smirked as he continued to shout, “But know this. All people that entered the arena and fought me will become a sacrifice for my rise to greatness!”

The spectators were also talking around themselves about how crazy Magnus was and also smiling about the prize, but still they could only accept it as Magnus was really strong.

The arena was soon filled again after it was almost emptied. The announcement had attracted a lot of new spectators that wanted to see just how strong Magnus was.

Magnus then looked toward the spectators seats and soon shouted to them, “What are you waiting for? Step forward and face me! Show me what you’ve got!”

The Lava Tortoise also let out a roar as he was excited to fight again, to show that he had the most powerful beast around here.

Then, from the side of the arena, a group of three tamers had entered the arena. Magnus could also see their silver rings, meaning that they were students from silver class.

The announcer that stood on the platform immediately talked as he saw the first challenger, “Ladies and gentlemen! The first challengers of the open challenge have finally entered the arena!”

The announcer also continued to excite the spectators: “The first challengers were silver students. Let’s see if they can defeat the undefeated Magnus, or will they become the first sacrifices of his rise to greatness?”

The three challengers then immediately summoned their beasts in unison. Soon, three portals began to appear on the arena.

Thunder Boar, Rock Bear and Ember Hawk began to appear from the three portals and stood in front of the Lava Tortoise. All of them were even 3-Star beasts.

The leader of the team immediately pointed at Magnus, “Five wins in a row is really impressive, but now you are facing the three of us. There’s no way you can win this time.”

Magnus only laughed after being underestimated. He also immediately excitedly said, “If that is what you think, then I am sorry that the reality will be different than you think.”

The three tamers frowned a bit after being told that, but they didn’t back down. They immediately commanded their beasts.

The Thunder Boar began to use its Thunder Charge. It roared as its tusks were filled with electricity and immediately charged toward Lava Tortoise.

The Rock Bear also began to use its Rock Claw. Its claw began to glow as it gathered the earth element’s energy. It then soon ran toward Lava Tortoise with its Rock Claw.

Ember Hawk, who flew in the air, also began to use its skill, Ember Wings. Its wing began to gather the flame energy and soon transformed it into embers and sent it toward the Lava Tortoise from above.

Magnus, who saw them, only smirked and said mockingly, “Is that all you’ve got? Let me show you what real power looks like!”

Magnus soon smirked and raised his hand and shouted out loud, “Lava Tortoise! Maximum Flame Aura! Burn everything to the ground!”

The lava tortoise let out a roar as its molten shell began to glow brighter. Flames erupted from its body as it spread around the arena, making it even hotter than before.

Magnus then laughed loudly as he shouted, “This arena belongs to me now! Lava Tortoise, keep the flames burning! Make sure they can’t take a single step without feeling the heat!”

The Lava Tortoise rumbled as he used all its power to make the arena even hotter than before and Magnus spread his arms wide. “Now the real battle begins!”
