Chapter 64: Payback on Kaelix
Lucius had just left the Beast Exchange Pavilion after his business was concluded when a loud voice suddenly echoed through the street.

“Lucius!”

Lucius stopped and turned around to see the one who shouted his name. He then saw Kaelix Kryndal, who was now rushing toward him in rage.

The crowd around was confused and curious about what was going on and Lucius was a bit annoyed by it, so he mocked Kaelix.

“What do you want now, Kaelix?”

“I was kind enough to let you leave with your dignity intact a few days ago. Yet here you are, barking in the street.”

Kaelix, who heard it, immediately became angry and pointed at Lucius and shouted.

“Dignity?”

“You humiliated me before! So, I’m here to make you pay!”

Without another word, Kaelix began to raise his arm and summon his Thunder Eagle. The massive 3-Star beast appeared while crackling with thunder energy.

Kaelix looked at Lucius and immediately pointed at him while commanding his beast.

“Thunder Eagle!”

“Use Lightning Dive and finish him!”

Lucius, who saw the incoming Thunder Eagle, didn’t flinch. Instead, he was just smiling as he gestured lazily to Liora.

“Liora”

“It’s your turn. Show him what happens when someone crosses me.”

Liora, who heard it, immediately became excited, as this was the time for her to pay back her humiliation a few days ago. She then stepped forward and flexed her claws.

“Finally! It is time for me to settle the score.”

The Thunder Eagle screeched and launched itself into the air before diving toward Lucius with electrified claws.

But unfortunately for it, Liora moved faster and immediately leapt into the air with her extended claws at ready.

She didn’t need a skill. Her strike was precise, aimed directly at the eagle’s chest, exploiting a weak point she’d observed in their last encounter.

The Thunder Eagle soon let out a screech of pain as its body fell down, crashing to the ground in a cloud of dust. It twitched weakly as it was unable to rise.

Kaelix, who saw the scene, could only open his mouth and shout out loud in disbelief.

“Impossible!”

“How could you take my Thunder Eagle down in one hit?”

Liora only smirked as she looked at Kaelix. She didn’t even spare the fallen eagle another glance.

“That was last time, but now I am different.”

Kaelix, who was now panicking, immediately took out the same black pill from his spatial ring. He was going to strengthen the Thunder Eagle the same way before.

But before he could throw it to the Thunder Eagle to eat, Liora already anticipated it and moved toward him and took the pill.

“Not this time.”

She then immediately used her leg to kick him in the stomach and send him flying back, destroying one of the shops there.

Liora was also not finished with him and before Kaelix could even recover, Liora immediately rushed toward him and lifted him up by the hand, using only one hand that left his feet dangling helplessly.

Kaelix, who was now being held by Liora, struggled by landing kicked to Liora but it was useless as Liora was a beast and stronger from him. Kaelix could only spat out in anger.

“You… How dare you treat me like…”

Before he could finish, Lucius immediately tightened his grip on his arm, that made Kaelix groan in pain

Liora then turned toward Lucius and controlled her anger but still Lucius could still see it on her face.

“Master, may I end him here, immediately?”

Lucius watched the scene with a smile. He then crossed his arms and leaned against a nearby pillar.

“No, you cannot.”

“We cannot kill here, as much as he deserves it.”

Kaelix was a bit relieved after hearing what Lucius said but the moment he heard what Lucius said, he immediately became angry.

“Just cut off his hand.”

“Let him remember what happens to those who disturb me and an example for those who dares to.”

Kaelix immediately tried to reason it as he shouted at Liora.

“No!”

“You can’t! I’m from the Kryndal family! You’ll regret…”

Before Kaelix could continue, Liora immediately did what she was told. She raised her sharp claw and swiped it toward Kaelix’s hand.

Kaelix’s protests turned to screams as his hand was severed in one clean motion. Blood splattered onto the ground, and the onlookers gasped in horror.

Kaelix then fell down as he was trembling while clutching his bleeding arm where his hand had once been.

His face was contorted with rage and agony, and his teeth gritted against the pain. He also looked at Liora and screamed in anger.

“You… you’ll regret this!”

“My family, the Kryndals, won’t let this go unpunished! You’ll pay!”

Lucius soon stepped forward and crouched down beside Kaelix. He then brought his face right before Kaelix’s tear-streaked face and smirked.

He then mocked Kaelix talking about his family.

“Your family?”

“Do you really think the Kryndals scare me?”

Kaelix was shocked and hearing and seeing that Lucius dared to mock him and his family.

“Let me make something very clear.”

“Your name, your bloodline, your so-called power… it means nothing to me.”

Lucius then reached down and picked Kaelix’s severed hand, holding it up for Kaelix to see.

Blood was also dripping from the limp appendage, pooling on the ground. Lucius looked at Kaelix face and smirked.

“See this?”

“This is what happens when you overstep.”

“Next time, Kaelix, it won’t just be your hand. The rest of your limbs will pay the price for your foolishness.”

Kaelix was pale after seeing Lucius pick up his severed hand. He was about to retort but was kicked by Lucius and it silenced him.

Lucius, who was now satisfied, turned to Liora and put his hand on Liora, who was now prepared to strike Kaelix again if needed.

“Well done, Liora.”

“You handled that beautifully.”

Liora, who heard it, grinned, showing her sharp teeth and immediately bowed down to Lucius.

“Thank you, Master.”

Lucius then turned to Luna, who stood with her arms crossed. She was also amused after watching the show.

Without a word, Lucius immediately tossed the severed hand toward her. Luna was a bit surprised to receive it and Lucius immediately went to her.

“Luna, take care of this. I have plans for it when we return home.””

Luna, who was now holding the severed hand, began to inspect it before smirking and bowing down to Lucius.

“Of course, Master.”

Lucius then gestured for them to follow him. He then turned away from Kaelix and left.

The crowd also began to disperse silently, as they were quite afraid of the trio as they passed them.

Behind them, Kaelix immediately screamed in pain and frustation as he clutched his bleeding hand.

“You’ll pay for this, Lucius!”

“My family will crush you for this pain!”

Lucius only chuckled after hearing it and didn’t even turn his head back on him.

“Small words.”

Liora and Luna, who heard what Lucius said, only smirked as both of them accompanying Lucius back.
