Chapter 69: 4 Exam Beasts
The examiner turned toward the group of Golden Class students who stood beside their beasts, who were now smiling as they were confident in their beasts.
“Now, we will evaluate each of your beasts in order of rank. When we call your name, proceed forward.” He said as he began to call for the fifth-rank student, Randor Raventhorn.
Randor stepped forward without hesitation. Beside him, a massive bear with rock-like body had already stood and growled.
It was now going to the Beast Insight Terminal and Randor only smirked as he gestured toward the terminal. “Scan it.”
The machine was activated as the Rock Bear stepped onto the platform. A bright light scanned over its rugged frame before its stats appeared on the large screen above.

The examiner turned first to check the beast’s status and then back at him. “It has one D-Tier stat. You pass.”
“Thank you, examiner,” Randor said while bowing down his head a bit. He also smirked as he brought the Rock Bear back from the machine.
The examiner began to call out the next name, which was the fourth-rank student, Sambria Sylvaris.
Sambria smirked as she stepped forward. Beside her, a majestic stag with sharp leaf-adorned antlers began to walk elegantly toward the machine.
Sambria turned to the examiner with a confident smile and said proudly, “Let’s show them the true beauty.”
The machine was activated again as the Leaf Stag stepped onto the platform. A bright light scanned over its elegant body before its stats appeared on the large screen above.

The examiner turned first to check the beast’s status again and then back at her. “Your beast has also one D-Tier stat and quite balanced stats. You pass.”
Sambria smiled after hearing it and looked at Randor. She smirked because her beast had one stat better than it. “More impressive than some lumbering rock, wouldn’t you agree?”
Randor heard what she was saying and frowned. “Strength isn’t measured by appearances. Let’s see how it fares when it’s not basking in sunlight.”
The tension between them could clearly be seen but the examiner ignored it as he called the third-rank student, Eric Morphane.
Eric calmly stepped forward, bringing his beast, which was an Ice Wolf. The Ice Wolf moved toward the platform. It also looked around before going in.
The Ice Wolf stepped onto the platform, and the machine began its work. A bright light scanned over its icy body before its stats appeared on the large screen above.

—
The examiner smiled a bit, seeing the stats of the Ice Wolf. “Two D-Tier stats. You are a good evolist. You pass.”
Eric smiled after being praised and glanced at Randor and Sambria. “It seems versatility and strength can coexist.”
Sambria’s smile faltered for a moment, and Randor’s jaw tightened. Neither responded, but the tension between the three was undeniable.
The examiner then called the second-rank student, “Next, Kaelix Kryndal, Step forward and bring your beast to the machine.
Kaelix smirked and brought his Thunder Wolf to the machine. The Thunder Wolf silently trailed behind Kaelix and entered the machine.
Kaelix smirked as he arrogantly said, “Let me show you all what a true Evolist can accomplish. Even with just one hand, I’m still leagues above the rest of you.”
The Thunder Wolf stepped onto the platform, activating the machine. A bright light scanned over its icy body before its stats appeared on the large screen above.
—

The examiner smiled after looking at the Thunder Wolf’s stat. “Impressive. To think that your Thunder Wolf had three D-Tier stats. It seems you’re still a capable Evolist, even with… limitations.”
Kaelix began to frown a bit as he heard the examiner mention his missing hand. He quickly recovered, looked at the examiner, and sneered. “Of course I am. A Kryndal’s talent isn’t bound by petty setbacks.”
Kaelix then brought the Thunder Wolf back. He also looked at the test room that Lucius was currently in. He smirked as he thought of something.
He looked back at the examiner and said loudly, “It’s been almost an hour. Shouldn’t we consider disqualifying Lucius? He hasn’t come out yet. Perhaps he’s… fail.”
The examiner frowned after hearing Kaelix’s words and still said the same. “The exam isn’t over until the allotted time has ended, Kaelix. He still has time.”
Kaelix only frowned after hearing. He could only nod as he began to wait for the allotted time to be over.
