Chapter 73: 3-Star Beast Battle: Venom Spider Vs Thunder Wolf
Kaelix’s Thunder Wolf didn’t waste any time as it charged toward Lucius, activating its Thunder Fang. This scene made Kaelix smirk. “This will be over in seconds, Lucius. Are you even ready?”

Lucius looked at the incoming Thunder Wolf didn’t flinch at all. Instead, he smirked as he was amused. “You’re awfully confident for someone about to lose, Kaelix.”

Lucius released a big green and black spider from the beast ring the moment the Thunder Wolf was near. The Venom Spider, who had seen the incoming Thunder Wolf, charged toward it.

The Thunder Wolf also noticed the Venom Spider standing in front of it, but it remained unaffected, continuing to aim for Lucius. Kaelix who saw it grinned. “Finish him!”

The Venom Spider became even angrier as it was ignored. In an instant, it closed the distance with the Thunder Wolf and attacked it with Venomous Bite, injecting its potent poison into it.

The Thunder Wolf cried in pain from the poison. It tried to break free, but the Venom Spider was stronger than it expected.

The Venom Spider knew the wolf tried to escape, so the venom spider directly used its strong body and pushed the wolf back to the arena.

Kaelix was in rage, seeing his Thunder Wolf easily being beaten by the spider. He shouted out, “Get up! Don’t let that insect make a fool of you!”

Lucius, on the other hand, was enjoying the show. He stepped forward and smirked. “Is this what passes for power in the Kryndal family? How… disappointing.”

The Thunder Wolf tried to fight back and activated Static Howl. The wolf then let out a thunderous howl to paralyze the spider for a moment.

The Thunder Wolf used this chance to break free and distance itself. It then prepared to attack by using both Lightning Sprint and Thunder Fang.

The Thunder Wolf rushed toward the Venom Spider with its thunder body and fangs. It closed the distance and attacked the spider, making it shriek in pain.

Kaelix grinned, seeing that his Thunder Wolf dealt damage to the spider. “See that, Lucius? That’s real power!”

But Lucius didn’t look concerned. In fact, he seemed bored and casually looked at Kaelix and said, “Is that the best you’ve got, Kaelix? I was hoping for something more… impressive.”

Kaelix became even angrier and now hoped that the Thunder Wolf killed that spider. The Thunder Wolf then began to prepare another attack, but suddenly the Venom Spider screamed loudly.

The Venom Spider trashed around and broke free from its paralysis and immediately ran toward the wolf with its incredible speed, making all people shocked.

The Venom Spider retaliated with Poison Thread, shooting a sticky, venom-infused web that bound the wolf, preventing it to escape. The wolf struggled to break free, but the strength of the thread is better than it thought.

The Venom Spider jumped forward and attacked the wolf again with the same skill, Venomous Bite, injecting more poison into its already weakened opponent.

Already poisoned, the Thunder Wolf howled in pain as its strength began to diminish even further. Kaelix frowned after seeing it. “Fight back! Don’t let it win!”

Observing the scene, Lucius chuckled, “It appears your wolf isn’t fully capable, Kaelix. Perhaps it’s time to accept defeat.”

Kaelix, who heard what Lucius said, panicked seeing the Thunder Wolf’s condition. He never knew that the Venom Spider could be this strong.

The Venom Spider, sensing its opponent’s weakness, released Toxic Burst, enveloping the Thunder Wolf in a green cloud of venom. The wolf coughed and collapsed as the poison seeped deeper into its body.

The Thunder Wolf tried to stand again, but it was too weakened. The venom had done its job, rendering the once strong beast weak.

However, the Venom Spider didn’t stop. It kept attacking it by using another Venomous Bite, injecting even more venom into the Thunder Wolf.

The examiner, seeing the situation, looked toward Lucius and shouted, “Lucius! It’s enough! Call off your beast!”

Lucius laughed, hearing what the examiner just said. He turned to the examiner and smirked. “Call it off? Examiner, I thought this was a test to let our beasts fight freely. Isn’t that the whole point?”

The examiner became angry after hearing it. “This isn’t about the test anymore. The Thunder Wolf is defeated. Order your Venom Spider to stand down before it kills it!”

Lucius chuckled and shook his head. “You misunderstand. The Venom Spider is… unpredictable. Aggressive by nature. I can’t exactly control it when it gets into this state.”

Kaelix glared at Lucius, clenching his fist, and shouted at him, “You planned this! You knew that thing was uncontrollable!”

Lucius turned to Kaelix and smirked. “Planned it? Don’t be ridiculous, Kaelix. I merely followed the rules. Perhaps you should have prepared your Thunder Wolf better for such… situations.”

Kaelix became angry and shouted, “You’ll pay for this, Lucius! I swear it!”

The Venom Spider didn’t stop even after Lucius tried to order it. The Venom Spider began to prepare its Venomous Bite once again.

The examiner, realizing the situation, immediately turned to his staff. “Restrain the spider now!”

A group of staff members rushed into the arena, each armed with containment equipment. The Venom Spider, sensing their approach, hissed back at them.

Lucius moved away from the arena and headed towards the exit. “Do whatever you need to with it. My test is complete, and I’ve proven my point. Whether you can handle the Venom Spider or not is no concern of mine.”

The examiner was in disbelief after hearing what Lucius said. He became angry and called him out. “Lucius! This beast was under your care during this test! You bear responsibility—”

Hearing it, Lucius paused and looked back at the examiner, smirking. “It seems that you misunderstand, examiner. My only test is to evolve the beast and let it fight.”

Lucius then smirked as he explained it clearly to him. “Whether the beast is angry or anything else, I don’t care about it. If you need information, feel free to ask the attendant who is preparing it. Good bye”

Without waiting for a reply, Lucius exited the arena, leaving behind an angry examiner and a humiliated Kaelix.

The staff struggled to contain the Venom Spider as it fought back fiercely, its venomous threads binding one staff member’s equipment before another managed to lock it inside a beast ring.
