Chapter 75: Lucius’ Golden Mission
Lucius was now sitting in the main hall of his residence, looking at the screen that was located in the center.

It had been months since the midterm exam, and every month he stared at the screen, waiting for an announcement.

He was pretty bored and hoped for something interesting to happen and suddenly his hope was answered as the screen was turned on.

Lucius stood up and went to the screen to see just what kind of announcement it would be this time. Was it a test, or was it something else entirely?

Lucius read the mission and was surprised by it. The mission was pretty simple but seeing that it was a golden mission, there should be a twist and that was what made Lucius so interested.

“Well, well, well. It seems that the academy has finally decided to give me an interesting mission.” Lucius murmured as he called for Luna and Liora.

Luna, the devoted assistant and Liora, the prideful beastwoman, immediately entered the main hall and kneeled before Lucius.

Lucius gestured toward the screen. “Our opportunity to leave this suffocating academy has arrived. A mission has been given to me, but it seems complicated, making it interesting.”

Luna stepped closer, tilting her head as she scanned the details of the mission. “A noble’s beast? How… fortuitous. This mission must be an important one, seeing that they give this to you.”

Luna then smirked as she stepped closer to Lucius. “So, do you have something specific in mind that you thought about this, Master?”

Lucius turned to Luna and smirked. “I don’t really know about it, Luna. But this ignorance about it is what makes it so interesting.”

Liora’s ears twitched and she gave a nod to Lucius. “Whatever you need, Mater. I will ensure that you are safe while you are doing this mission.”

Her confidence made Lucius smile, and he approached her, resting a hand on her shoulder. “I expect nothing less from you, Liora. Your strength serves as my weapon and a reminder of the potential under my guidance.”

Liora nodded and smiled after being praised, and Luna was a bit jealous after Liora was praised, so she immediately smiled and interjected it.

“And I will ensure every detail of this mission is executed flawlessly. You won’t need to concern yourself with trivial matters, Master Lucius. Leave it all to me.” Luna confidently said.

Lucius chuckled, seeing Luna’s jealousy. “I expect no less, Luna. Your mind is as sharp as ever. Between the two of you, I have little reason to doubt our success.”

Luna and Liora smiled in response to the praise. Lucius then stepped back and reminded them, “Prepare yourselves. We leave at dawn. Liora, ensure that you are ready and Luna, secure the necessaries.”

Liora bowed her head. “Understood. I will prepare myself, so you can rest easy in the journey.” Luna also bowed her head, “As you command, Master.”

At dawn, Lucius stood outside his residence. Behind him, Luna and Liora were preparing something before they went out.

Luna then went to Lucius. She clasped her hands and tilted her head in front of Lucius. “All preparations are complete, Master. We have secured the teleportation permissions and the provided carriage is waiting.

Lucius turned to them and smirked. “Good. The academy’s Golden Class benefits, which include carriages and teleportation platforms, are both extravagant and convenient. Let’s use them to their fullest.”

Liora stepped forward and said, “We have thoroughly inspected the carriage. It’s secure and stocked with essentials. There will also be no interruptions, Master.”

Lucius was satisfied by their preparations. “I see. Thanks for your hard work in securing and inspecting our tools, Liora and Luna. Now, Let’s proceed.”

Lucius then entered the carriage. Luna and Liora were also joining in as they were his maids and the carriage was prepared for them.

The carriage then began to move forward and the journey through the academy’s grounds was smooth. The privileges of the Golden Class ensured that gates opened seamlessly at their approach.

The carriage then arrived at the academy’s teleportation platform. Guards clad in golden armor stood at attention, saluting as Lucius got off from the carriage with Liora and Luna standing behind him.

The head guard stepped forward and bowed. “Master Lucius, the platform is prepared for your departure. The destination coordinates have been calibrated to the noble’s estate.”

The head guard also gave him a reminder. “And also, please remember that the teleportation platform will reactivate exactly one month from now, whether or not you have completed the task.”

The head guard then warned him, “Should you fail to return with proof of the mission’s success… you will be considered unworthy of the Golden Class and barred from re-entering the academy.”

Liora, who heard it, was a bit shocked after hearing it. She could not help but muttered, “What kind of academy sends its students on missions with such harsh ultimatums?”

The head guard heard what she was saying, but he said nothing. He just focused his attention on Lucius, waiting for his answer.

Lucius only smirked after hearing it and said, “I see. If that’s the case, then we have no time to waste. Efficiency, after all, is the hallmark of those who succeed where others fall.”

The head guard then nodded in acknowledgment. He smiled a bit and reminded him again. “You have one month, Master Lucius. Make it count.”

Lucius nodded and went to the teleportation platform. Luna and Liora were also following behind him. Lucius looked around for a bit before being reported by Liora. “The platform is secure. Shall we proceed?”

Lucius smirked after hearing that and turned around to see the head guard. “We are ready. Please activate it, sir.”

The headguard nodded and activated the teleportation platform. The head guard smiled and wished Lucius luck before he fully teleported.

Lucius only smirked in return, as there was always luck in his dictionary. He always believed that even the lady luck was always with him as he was the chosen one.
