Chapter 95: Kryndal’s Wrath
The household of the Kryndal family was in chaos after the low-level Evolist hub was destroyed the day before.

This hub wasn’t just another asset; it was the backbone of the Kryndal family’s future.

It was a big source of income and the primary training ground for their younger generation.

The hub’s destruction was more than a financial blow. It was a direct attack on our family’s prestige and power.

Kalemir Kyrndal, one of the family elders and a formidable 5-Star Evolist, walked back and forth.

He glared at the trembling retainers. He immediately shouted at them loudly.

“How? How could this happen? How could the most important hub be destroyed in a single day?”

He was too agitated and sat back on his chair. He explained how dangerous it was to his stupid retainers.

He leaned in his chair weakly as he began to tell them about how dangerous it was.

“This hub was the one that trained younger generation and brought in the most revenue. With it destroyed, our family is in crisis!”

The retainers exchanged uneasy glances. They didn’t dare meet Kalemir’s gaze.

Then one of them finally stepped forward and bowed his head low, explaining it.

“The systems in the hub were destroyed during the attack. There are no traces of the culprits at all.”

Kalemir slammed a nearby table with his fist and destroyed it to pieces. He looked at the retainer and roared

“No traces? You expect me to believe that an attack of this scale left us with nothing? Nothing at all?”

Another retainer stepped forward and said the work that they had done regarding this accident.

“We have sent investigators, but we have uncovered nothing at all. It’s as though the attackers knew everything about the hub.”

Kalemir glared at the retainer and threw him some objects in anger.

“Useless! You think your excuses will rebuild the hub? Will bring back our fallen?”

Kalemir also told them another bad news.

“One of our most promising young masters… Kaelix had died. Do you realize the cost of this loss?”

The retainers moved uncomfortably and wiped sweat from their brows. None of them dared to speak at this moment.

Kaltrik Kryndal was also stunned in silence as he received the report. His usual arrogance had been replaced by disbelief.

He leaned back in his chair and gripped the armrests tightly with his fingers as he thought hard about this.

“But, even if they are caught, they would have taken Lucius down before this could happen.”

Kaltrik then stood up and walked back and forward. He touched his chin as he thought it more.

“Even if the Volcaria knew I was the one who killed Lucius, they would not dare to attack our most important hub this fast.”

“This is also impossible to be their work, as Volcaria is not the type that silently attacks others. If not them, then who?”

A knock at the door interrupted his thoughts. Kaltrik didn’t know who it was but this was Kryndal’s residence so he allowed them to enter.

“Enter.”

A young Kryndal retainer stepped inside and bowed down.

“My Lord, Elder Kalemir has summoned you. He’s called for an emergency council meeting to discuss the attack. Your presence is required.”

Kaltrik was a bit surprised and nodded. He then prepared himself and turned to the retainer.

“Very well. Inform him I’m on my way.”

The retainer bowed again and left the room. Kaltrik exhaled deeply and clenched his fists tightly as his mind returned to the attack.

“I will make sure to make whoever is responsible for this regret what he has done.”

The council meeting convened in the grand chamber of the Kryndal estate.

The room was filled with the family’s top figures—elders, advisors, and powerful tamers—all wearing grim expressions.

Kalemir stood at the head of the table, his imposing presence dominating the room. Kaltrik entered swiftly, taking his place among the others.

Lucius leaned back in his chair. He watched Luna and Liora approach the table.Luna stepped forward first and smirked. She took out a heavy satchel of beast coins on the table.

“We got quite a lot, Master. The merchants in the city couldn’t resist the goods we’d… acquired from the mercenaries. They paid handsomely.”

Liora stood beside her and crossed her arms across her chest.

“They thought they were bargaining, but they had no idea. Their ignorance was almost insulting, Master.”

Lucius smirked as he put the beast coins inside his Eternal Vault.

“Excellent. You’ve both done well.”

Luna smiled after being praised by her master. “We aim to serve you, Master.”

“And the best part is, the merchants won’t even realize how much more they could have paid.”

Liora’s tail flicked lazily behind her as she added, “Their losses are our gains. They won’t realize it until it’s too late.”

Lucius then looked at the 3-Star Storm Bear Core resting on the table. He put it back onto his Eternal Vault and smirked.

It was time for them to meet their client to finish Lucius’ mission and do some interesting things.
