Chapter 101: Chapter 101 Chapter 101: Chapter 101 “Ah…
about me…” Ariel thought carefully about how she should start her story.
“Boss,” Gregory’s voice sounded from the entrance.
“What do you want, Gregory?” Aiden questioned without getting Ariel off his lap.
” Jessica is here with a guest, I was wondering if-” “Let them in, Gregory,” Aiden waved his hand, dismissing him.
“Yes, boss,” Gregory bowed and left.
“I guess I’ll tell my story some other time,” Ariel whispered and missed Aiden.
She wanted to get off his lap when he suddenly pulled her back and kissed her, locking his hands behind her head and waist.
“Ahem, lover birds, you have a visitor,” Jess’ voice came from the far side of the living room.
“Aiden, let me go,” Ariel whispered, blushing.
Aiden smirked and released her.
“This isn’t over.” He winked at her.
“Chill out, bro; she’s not going anywhere.
Come on in,” Jess nodded at Abbey, who was hesitant to move into the living room.
Ariel was surprised to see Jess with Abbey.
‘What was happening?’ She thought to herself.
Aiden had his eyes locked on Abbey as she slowly walked into his living room.
Jess walked over and sat beside Ariel while she pointed Abbey to a single sofa.
“Good morning, Mr.
Chaz, Ariel,” Abbey greeted timidly.
“Sit, Abbey,” Aiden’s face automatically turned serious, he knew Abbey was here to give him news about Catherine.
“Thank you,” Abbey bowed again as she lowered herself to the sofa.
“Abbey, what are you doing here?” Ariel shifted to a more comfortable position and crossed one of her legs over the other.
Abbey bit her lip and uncomfortably shuffled her legs under her, she didn’t know how to face Ariel anymore.
She never knew she was this close to Aiden.
If she had, she would have never agreed to connive with Eva or her mother against Ariel.
She knew that this was a lost battle for Eva and Mother, and she didn’t want to be part of it.
“I…I’m here to inform you about something.
About Catherine,” Abbey quickly glanced at Aiden and looked away.
“Speak, Abbey, you have six minutes,” Aiden ordered.

He took his hand to the side and took Ariel’s hand in his, bringing it to his lap.
Abbey blinked, her discomfort was visible, and she didn’t look any bit comfortable in her current situation.
“It’s Catherine, she had planted spies in the company, and whenever Ariel would be alone, she planned to have those spies kidnap Ariel.
She plans to keep Ariel away for as long as it takes you to fall in love with her daughter.
In her words, ‘I don’t want Ariel to have the first heir for the Chaz.'” Abbey informed quietly, her eyes sticking to her fingers as she spoke.
Aiden frowned.
Something was confusing him.
“Let me get something straight,” Aiden leaned forward.
“The Hudsons, they are not aware that I’m married to Ariel, right?” Aiden questioned Abbey.
Abbey’s jaw slacked down to her chest as she stared at Ariel and Aiden.
‘Married?!’ Her brain was screaming in shock.
Never in her wildest dream did she imagine what she’d just heard.
Shebhad just thought that Aiden and Ariel were secretly dating, but married?
That was never on the list of things she thought possible between them.
“Well, now they’d know; look at her face, Aiden; you’ve just dropped a bomb on the poor girl,” Jess sighed.
Aiden raised a brow at Abbey and asked in a threatening tone, “You’d do no such thing,” he stated.
Abbey nodded vigorously.
Her eyes were now staring at Ariel with a different light.
“I swear, Mr.
Chaz, I’d never tell anyone.
And, yes, they don’t know about the marriage.
They all believe that Ariel is married to your brother,” Abbey responded.
Jess chuckled, “Yeah, that imaginary brother.” Ariel had also been curious about that rumor.
It was what made her want to run away from home in the first place.
Grandma Nari made them understand that she wanted someone to marry the unknown and disabled Chaz’s son.
That was why she was shocked to her bones on the day of their wedding.
She had been expecting to see a man in a wheelchair but instead, she saw a hot and handsome man.
The question about the disabled brother had always been at the back of her mind.
“Eva was very sure about it when she spoke to me last night,” Aiden said quietly.
“What?!” Ariel snapped her head to Aiden with a glare.
“Uh oh,” Jess muttered.
Aiden turned his head to Ariel, blinking slowly.
“Ahh…well-” “It was Eva, right?
The one who gave you that stupid information last night?
And you believed her and even ignored me,” Ariel stood, stepping back from Aiden’s hand that was reaching out for her.
“He ignored you?” Jess asked with a shocked gasp.
“Yes, he did,” Ariel scoffed.
“That’s low, bro, that’s really low,” Jess sighed.
Aiden glared at Jess, she was purposely making matters worse for him.
Abbey was sitting, feeling very weird as she watched Aiden lose his cool as he stared at Ariel with puppy eyes, looking lost on how he was going to defend himself.
“Baby, come on, I said I was sorry,” Aiden stood and strode toward Ariel.
“Did he tell you he had a moment with her in the club’s restroom?” Jess continued to add the fuel.
Ariel, who was almost letting Aiden gold her, stepped away from him, “Is that true?” Her voice was calm, but Aiden knew there was chaos going on inside her head.
“It’s not what you think, she was-” “Yes or no, Aiden,” Ariel questioned, a big frown marking her face.
“Yes,” Aiden replied.
“You guys continue, I need some air,” Ariel turned away from Aiden and walked out of the house.
“Jessica, what do you gain by doing this?” Aiden turned to Jess who was leisurely picking the invisible dirt on her finger.
Jess smiled up at him, “Firstly, it serves you right for even considering to listen to that idiot last night; I was boiling in my seat all through; it’s your punishment.
Secondly, I’m feeling sad, so as my family, you should share my emotions, now we’re even,” Jess winked at him.
“Come, you have a visitor,” Jess patted the space beside her, smiling sweetly at Aiden.
Aiden balled his fists as he stared at Jess.
He felt like strangling her, but he knew he couldn’t; she was right in some way.
It was stupid of him to listen to Eva last night, he shouldn’t have.
He glanced longingly at the door before he sighed and lowered himself beside Jess.
“Abbey,” Aiden called, his tone was now cold as ice.
Abbey straightened up and answered, “Yes, Mr.
Chaz,” she responded.
“You said Catherine wants me to marry her daughter, right?” He zeroed his eyes on Abbey, making her cower at his gaze.
He already had a plan to meet with Catherine and her mother, so why not use one stone to kill two birds?
“Yes, Mr.
Chaz,” Abbey nodded.
“Then, tell her that her wish will be granted,” Aiden smiled.
Abbey felt threatened by Aiden’s smirk.
“S-sir, you’re willing to marry Eva?” Abbey dared to ask.
“Yes, Abbey, tell them that I can’t wait to see them on Saturday,” Aiden replied.
“Oh, okay,” Abbey was confused as hell, she couldn’t figure out what Aiden’s plans were.
Jess, too, was confused; she was staring at Aiden as if he was crazy, he was still on probation by Ariel, and he was already asking to be officially expelled.
“Go, Abbey,” Aiden waved Abbey away.
Abbey immediately stood and bowed.
“I’ll be on my way,” Abbey immediately left the house, not wanting to stay longer in that suffocating room.
She was hardly breathing in Aiden’s presence and had been waiting for her time to go.
Jess waited for Abbey to leave before she turned to Aiden, “What have you done?” She questioned.
“You’ll see,” Aiden smirked and stood from the chair, walking out of the house.
Outside his house, he searched the whole place and couldn’t find Ariel.
“She went to the garden, boss,” Gregory appeared behind him and posted toward the small black gate.
Aiden was surprised to hear that, he’d never taken her there before and he wondered how she got to know that he had a secret garden.
He nodded at Gregory and walked toward the gate.
As he entered his garden, memories of why he created the garden swarmed into his head.
This was where he always came to escape the monsters in his, where he found a little peace in his mind, each time the traumas from his past invaded his thoughts, this was always the place he ran to.
As he walked past the familiar paths that were lined with colorful flowers, their scents followed the soft morning breeze and reached his nose, making him feel calmer and more ready to face Ariel’s anger.
He passed three trees and didn’t find Ariel.
He was about to call out her name when he heard a voice from somewhere in his direction.
But one thing surprised him, it wasn’t Ariel’s voice he heard…it was Moon’s.
