Chapter 102: Chapter 102 Chapter 102: Chapter 102 Ariel had left the house angry at Aiden and had gone straight to the garden Jess introduced her to.
But Ariel didn’t know that the moment she walked through the gate, someone walked in through the main gates and saw her entering the garden; she never knew that someone was following her.
Ariel needed to be with nature to clear her muddy head.
‘So Aiden really spoke with Eva last night?’ Ariel thought in her head as she passed the swing she had swung with Jess the last time they were there together.
She walked on toward a smaller tree that had a bench beneath it.
“Ariel, calm down…” She whispered as she lowered herself on the bench.
She took off her slippers and placed her feet on the soft, cool grass, sighing as she felt instant relief from her anger.
“Calm down, Ariel; he apologized to you last night; you don’t have to make it hard for him,” She spoke to herself again.
She knew that Eva was cunning and she must have found a way to deceive Aiden into speaking with her.
It’s just the whole idea of Aiden even standing to look at Eva that pissed her off.
Ariel released a long sigh and leaned back on the bench, resting her head on it.
She looked up at the tree, watching the sun’s rays escape through the spaces between the tree leaves, shimmering down the ground.
The birds chirping were all over the place, adding to the natural sounds of the garden.
Ariel closed her eyes and just stayed like that, allowing her raging thoughts to settle down.
Catherine was really out for her, but she was ready for her too.
If not for Jess’ interruption, she’d have told Aiden everything about her, including how she was related to Eva and her stupid mother.
But she wasn’t worried; she solidly believed that Aiden was with her now, and together, they’d face those monsters and any other monster that wanted to test their relationship.
One thing was for sure, she wasn’t leaving Aiden no matter what.
He was the only person who treated her right, and she could feel it, they were a match made in heaven.
Ariel suddenly opened her eyes as she felt like she was no longer the only one who was in the garden.
However, as she turned around to search for the other person, she couldn’t seem to find anyone.
She sighed, maybe she was too lost in her thoughts and was now imagining things.
She looked around one last time before going back to her previous resting position.
She had her eyes closed and her head resting on the back of the bench.
She was idly tapping her fingers on her lap when she heard the snapping of a twig as if someone had stepped on it.
Ariel was just about to open her eyes when she suddenly felt something thin, sharp, and cool on her exposed neck.
She snapped her eyes open in fear and was surprised to see Moon’s face staring down at her with a sinister smile.
“You do know what I’m holding against your neck, right?” Moon’s voice was as calm as the wind, but her eyes held so much darkness and malice.
Ariel’s heart was beating wildly.
She could feel her pulse beating against the knife, and any slight movement from her would have her neck sliced through like a cake.

“Moon…” She called very cautiously.
Moon raised a nonchalant brow at Ariel and replied, “Yes, dear sister-in-law, do you have anything to say to me?” She whispered in a chilly voice.
Ariel blinked, “Get this knife off me and, well, talk,” Ariel reasoned.
Moon cackled, “Shut up, bitch.
Right now, you don’t have a say, I make the calls now, and whatever I say is what you’ll do, understood?!” She pressed the knife harder against Ariel’s neck.
“Ah…
okay, okay, I understand.
You’re in charge,” Ariel spoke very carefully.
“Awesome,” Moon smiled sweetly at her.
She raised her hand and placed it on Ariel’s cheek, tracing it down to her perfect jawline.
“Mm, I see why Aiden fell in love with you…
you’re quite a neck-turner.
Now that I’m taking a close look at you,” Moon scoffed.
“It’s not just about the outside beauty, Moon.
It’s the inner beauty, which you clearly lack – Argh!” “Be quiet, you idiot,” Moon pressed the knife too hard that any more pressure or movement would have blood sputtering from Ariel’s throat.
“You still have the nerve to talk back at me, huh?” Moons brought her face close down to Ariel’s ear.
Ariel smirked at her, “Now that I thought of it, you can’t kill me.
This is Aiden’s home, and I’m sure Gregory saw you walk in here.
Trust me, he never missed a thing; you might not have seen him, but he saw you.
If you kill me, they’d know it’s you, you’d lose your fake innocence in front of Aiden, and every chance you had at getting him would be forever ruined.
So, get this damn knife off my neck, and I promise I won’t tell him how evil you are.” She smiled at Moon.
“Oh, look how cocky you are.
But I promise you, you’re not going to remain cocky forever.
Just watch and see how Aiden crawls right into my arms.
In the end, it’s me who knows him best, I know his fears, and I know what he wants in a woman.
He’ll end up with someone who understands him better, not some unknown bitch who came out of nowhere.
You don’t know Aiden, and you don’t know his story.
Don’t think you’ve won; I’d advise you to leave now, divorce him now, and save yourself the pain that is coming,” Moon whispered sinisterly.
Ariel was about to respond when she heard her name.
“Ariel?” Aiden’s voice called from a few trees beside them.
Moon instantly moved away from Ariel and placed the knife inside her bag.
She quickly came around and sat beside Ariel, holding her arm as if both of them were having some girl-to-girl conversations.
Ariel raised an irritated brow at Moon, staring down at her fingers that were holding her arm tightly.
“We’re over here, Aiden,” Moon waved over to Aiden who was going in the wrong direction.
Ariel smiled.
She saw Aiden walking over to them and noticed how Moon’s countenance changed from a devil to an angel.
But she wasn’t about to play along with her.
Aiden turned and saw Ariel and Moon sitting closely together on the bench.
He wondered how they both ended up there, it was unlikely that Ariel had called Moon to keep her company when she was angry.
He was curious to find out what they were discussing.
“Ariel…” He called cautiously, still very aware that she might still be angry at him.
Ariel smiled at Aiden.
She was still a little angry, but she was never going to let Moon see her galling out with Aiden.
She’d rather feed her jealous soul.
“Baby, tell your little sister to get her hands off me, you know I don’t like her, respectfully,” she complained to Aiden.
Aiden sighed, he knew that, too.
He already had a plan for Moon, he was already so concerned for her due to the thoughts he’d been made to believe.
And he was still trying to win points with Ariel, so he’d surely do whatever she asked for.
He sighed and looked at Moon, “Moon-” “I can’t believe this!” Moon stood from the bench and walked up to Aiden.
“You were really going to ask me to get my hands off her?
Your sister?” She questioned in his face.
“Um, relationships are not forced, Moon.
It’d be better if you both just stayed away from each other,” He smiled at her and was about to pat her head when Moon stepped away from him.
Ariel slowly stood and walked over to Aiden, wrapped her arms around his waist, and placed her head on his chest.
She sent a smirk to Moon, looking her right in the eyes as she caressed Aiden’s arm.
“I see it now, Aiden.
You chose to please someone else over your sister, I get it almost now,” Moon tried to use blackmail.
She was boiling in anger and jealousy with her, she wished she could just take her knife out and drive it right through Ariel’s chest.
“Ariel is not just someone else to me, Moon, I thought we’ve discussed that already?” Aiden asked with a slight frown.
“Yes, Moon.
I’m not just someone else, I’m his wife, and I’m here to stay,” Airel tipped her toes and kissed Aiden’s lips, enjoying the ashen look that swept across Moon’s face.
“What are you doing here, Moon?” Aiden questioned, drawing Ariel closer to him.
He had been worried that he had to grovel and explain until she forgave him, but he guessed miracles do happen.
He wasn’t missing any opportunity to hold her in his arms.
Moon chuckled.
She blinked away from them and stared at the far distance where the sound of a running stream was coming from.
“I’m here to see my, brother.
Can’t I?” She asked boldly, daring him to say to her face that she was no longer allowed to visit him.
“You-” “Well, you have to wait first.
Your brother and his wife are about to have a romantic swim in that beautiful stream over there…you wouldn’t want to join us, of course.
That’d just be very weird,” Ariel giggled Aiden snapped his head to Ariel.
“We are?” He whispered in excitement.
“Don’t you want to?” Ariel raised her head and stared at his darkening eyes.
Aiden smiled Mischievously, “I do, of course,” He smiled.
“Of course, I don’t want to join,” Moon replied.
‘I want to be the only one he swims with,’ She maliciously thought.
“I’ll wait in the living room,” Moon replied and walked away from the couple.
“Moon?” Aiden called as Moon was a few steps away from them.
“Yes,” Moon turned immediately, hoping Aiden had changed his mind about that dumb romantic swimming.
“Please, tell Anna to bring us a set of towels and clothes,” Aiden informed and turned Ariel in the direction of the swim.
“Come on, baby,” He whispered to her.
Moon stood there and watched as Aiden turned away from her and happily led Ariel toward the stream.
As she walked away with her bleeding heart, she swore to make Ariel experience a thousandfold of the pain she had experienced.
Just a little more time and everything would end; it was a promise she would fulfill even if it meant losing her life in the process.
