Chapter 104: Chapter 104 Chapter 104: Chapter 104 Moon stood in the dining, staring at the living room.
She had been sitting quietly in the living room all this while, thinking about the things she knew Aiden and Ariel must have been doing in that river.
Her blood was boiling in anger.
This wasn’t what she thought she would experience when she was coming back to Aiden.
She had thought that their bond would have gotten stronger than before and slowly, he’d start to realize that what they had between them wasn’t the normal sibling love.
They should have been in the middle of their wedding planning by now, and she would have been the most popular bride on earth.
But now, people were almost forgetting she existed; she no longer went to the gala with Aiden, and Aiden didn’t even care anymore.
Before he had been the one to accompany her to almost all the places she went to, and she had taken pride in that.
Right now, Aiden didn’t give a fuck about what she did with her life.
It was left for her to get him back to her side the way it used to be.
That was why she was currently standing in the dining, her eyes trained at the door as she heard Ariel’s stupid giggle getting closer to the house.
She knew they were done swimming and was heading toward the house; she couldn’t stand Ariel being the only center of attention for Aiden; things were about to change.
Aiden had just walked through the door with his arm around Ariel’s waist, holding her close to himself.
“Hey, how about we visit my farm?
But in the daytime, of course, it’s not the way you think it is; it’s quite fun to visit,” Aiden suggested, looking down at Ariel.
However, Ariel wasn’t listening anymore.
She was the first to notice Moon standing weirdly in the dining.
Aiden was about to ask her if she heard what he said when Ariel pointed to the dining.
“What’s she doing?” Ariel whispered to Aiden.
Aiden frowned and looked over to the dining.
He froze, “Moon…put the knife down…” He said in the gentlest voice he had.
He untangled himself from Ariel and gently started to walk toward Moon.
“Ariel was beside him, curious to find out what Moon was actually acting this time.
“Don’t come closer, Aiden,” Moon threatened by placing the knife closer to her wrist.
Aiden froze in his steps.
“Alright…Alright, Moon.
I stopped, can you drop the knife now?” Aiden asked in a shaky voice.
Ariel scoffed, “She’s still playing you, Aiden.
I’m not going to be played too…” She paused and narrowed her eyes at the knife Moon was holding against her wrist and chuckled.
“Same knife huh?

Cool.
Alright, I’ll take a seat and enjoy your soap opera, Moon.
Baby,” She held Aiden’s arms, “It’s really sad that you’re a character in this opera, but I don’t have a choice, I’ll watch,” Ariel shrugged and went to sit on a sofa, crossing her legs together.
Aiden sighed; maybe Ariel was right; his suspicion was getting thicker and thicker, and he had wasted time in carrying out his plan for Moon.
“Baby, don’t say that, Moon must be going through a lot to want to hurt herself,” Aiden replied Ariel with a little frown.
Ariel almost wanted to fall back and laugh out loud at the unbelievable look she saw on Moon’s face.
Moon was livid, even in her condition, Aiden was still ignoring her to speak with Ariel.
“I see I really mean nothing to you,” Moon said in a broken voice.
Aiden snapped his head back to Moon.
He felt bad.
Had he really just ignored his suicidal sister to talk with his wife?
Damn, this love was making him unreasonable.
“No, no, no, Moon, please, don’t do it, Moon.
You mean the world to me, and you know it…” Aiden tried to convince Moon, moving closer to the dining.
“Do it, Moon,” Ariel hyped from behind Aiden.
“Stop it, Ariel!” Aiden raised his voice more than he had expected to.
Ariel paused, staring at Aiden.
“You’ll see that I was right,” Ariel said and stood from the sofa, walking up the stairs.
Moon smiled secretly; this was exactly what she wanted: friction between Aiden and Ariel’s relationship.
Even if she wasn’t going to hurt herself, she would now.
She had seen that Aiden would surely hate Ariel for being insensitive to her condition.
And with that, she could play her victim card well, and gum herself to Aiden while Ariel will now be the forgotten one.
Moon suddenly cried, “Since the only family I have no longer cares about me, I’d rather die!” She screamed and slashed her wrist with the knife, falling limp to the floor as blood splattered everywhere.
“Moon!” Aiden rushed over to her and immediately carried her in his arms.
“Moon, please stay with me, everything’s going to be alright, I promise,” Aiden’s face looked so ashen as he carried Moon out of the house.
Ariel stood at the foot of the stairs, watching the drama.
She was only concerned that her husband was made a part of the madness, apart from that, she didn’t care what Moon did to herself, she was an adult with a functioning brain, and if she decided to hurt herself, that was her human right, she had the right to choose what best suits her mood, and if customers g herself was her decision, then by all means she was ready to provide her with different shapes, sizes, and make of knives.
Moon was so crazy, she could go to any extent just to get what she wanted.
Ariel wasn’t going to lie; she was kind of wary of Moon; someone like her was ready to kill, to kill just anyone to make sure she achieved her goal.
She only wished she could convince Aiden that Moon was evil without him thinking she was just hating his sister for no reason.
*** In the hospital, Carla was staring down at Moon’s sleeping face after she had treated her cut wrist.
It was perfectly gauzed up, and Moon wasn’t looking as if she was in pain anymore.
However, she had many thoughts going through her mind.
She knew Moon, both as a friend and as a doctor.
She knew Moon had a problem with her personality, and she knew she had a forbidden crush on her brother, which caused her to behave like an idiot most of the time.
Like right now, she knew that Moon had sliced her wrist just to get Aiden’s attention.
She had wanted to tell Aiden a long time ago, but she didn’t and still does not know how to tell him that his little sister wants him to fuck her.
She already felt cringy thinking about it.
Think about how it’d be if she spoke it out.
Never.
She’d rather suggest to Aiden in a friendly manner to take Moon to a psychologist.
“Carla?
How’s she?” Aiden walked into the room with shopping bags.
While Carla was treating Moon, he felt so guilty and decided to go shop some expensive things for Moon.
Maybe he’d really ignored her a lot.
This was how he gifted her almost every week, but since Ariel came into the picture, he completely stopped gifting her favorite clothes brands.
This was all his fault.
He would try his best to be that brother he used to be to her before.
However, this doesn’t change what he suspected of her, and he would speak to Carla about it soon.
Carla looked down at Aiden’s hand and sighed.
“Aiden, we need to talk,” Aiden dropped the bags on the table and walked back to Moon’s bed.
He leaned down and took her good hand in his, “Is it about Moon?
Is she okay?
Do I need to do anything?” He questioned.
Carla shook her head and placed her hand on Aiden’s shoulder.
“Yes, it’s about Moon.
Moon is fine and you don’t need to do anything.
She’s been taken care of.
We just need to talk, I have some observations I’d like to bring to your notice,” Carla replied.
Aiden sighed in relief and nodded.
“Alright,” He nodded and walked out of the office.
Carla followed him behind, quickly closing the door as she left.
They walked out into the white and silver hospital hallway and went up the stairs that led to Carla’s office.
Carla was lagging, shuffling ideas on how she was going to break the news to Aiden without looking like a psycho herself.
Aiden reached the top of the stairs and paused as he saw who was standing in front of Carla’s office “Ariel,” He called but wasn’t looking at her.
He put his face away from her and slowed his pace.
Ariel frowned when she noticed the cold reception, she thought he’d be happy to see her.
She was here for him, after all; staying alone at home was boring her, so she decided to come to see what Aiden was up to.
What about Moon?
Ariel couldn’t care less about her; if she died or lived, it was completely none of her business; their lives were in means entertained.
Carla noticed the cold atmosphere between the couple and started to wonder if Jess had given her a fake update.
“Ariel, are you here to see your sister-in-law?” Carla asked, walking toward her door.
She thought she was going to make the atmosphere warmer with her words, but she turned out to make it cooler than a winter night.
Ariel was about to reply to Carla when Aiden spoke up.
“She’s not here for Moon; she doesn’t care if she dies,” Aiden shrugged, leaning against the wall.
Ariel snapped her head to Aiden, anger flashing across her eyes.
Ariel scoffed, “That’s correct.
I can’t care for someone whose sole aim is to fuck his brother,” She snapped back at him.
There, it was said.
Ariel couldn’t hold it in anymore, and she needed to let him know just in case he was too dumb to notice it.
She was already sensing trouble brewing from here, but she preferred to make it known before it’s too late.
“Ariel, watch your words!” Aiden warned in a cold tone.
Carla stood in front of Ariel, “She’s right, Aiden, and I’m sure you’ve noticed it, too.” She stared at Aiden as she spoke.
Ariel gasped, behind Carla, “You knew?!” She stepped away from Carla’s back and walked up to Aiden, “You should have just spoken up instead of pretending to love me, and I’d have just given you the space you needed with your sister, oops…Girlfriend.” Ariel glared at him and walked away.
“Let her,” Carla held back Aiden when he wanted to go after Ariel.
“But she’s got it all worng…damn it…I shouldn’t have lost my temper on her,” Aiden ran his fingers through his hair.
