Chapter 118: Chapter 118 Chapter 118: Chapter 118 Ariel woke up the next morning with a very excruciating headache.
The first thing she did was to try placing her hand over her tummy but she unfortunately realized that her hands were tied behind her.
Behind her?
Does that mean she’s been tied to a chair like all those kidnappers do?
Her heart was pounding in fear, she just realized that she was indeed dotting in some wooden chair with her hands tied behind her.
What were they planning to do to her?
She opened her eyes to check the surroundings, but all she saw was darkness as a thick bag was placed over her head.
Ariel felt like she was going to pass out again from lack of oxygen.
She worried deeply for her baby and herself.
She tried dragging some air into her mouth but got choked.
Her mouth was taped.
‘Oh, God…my baby…’ she thought as tears threatened to fall from her eyes.
She seized moving when she heard footsteps approaching from afar.
It didn’t belong to one person, it sounded like they were three or more.
She breathed quietly, praying they didn’t find out that she was awake.
She heard a metal door being pushed open, followed by the footsteps.
“She’s awake,” A man’s voice announced.
Ariel’s voice hitched in her throat.
‘How did they know?!’ She thought, scared.
So what was next, shoot her?
Torture her?
Cut her body?
She felt her palms and feet start to sweat profusely; fear of the unknown might as well kill her before her kidnappers actually did.
“Good afternoon, Young lady,” A man’s voice sounded in front of her face.
Ariel gulped, trying to see who it was through her thick barrier.
“Take off that cloth, Barrel,” A deeper voice commanded from behind the man.
“Yes, boss,” Barrel replied, and in the next second, Ariel felt the cloth drawn off her head and face.
The first thing she did was to drag in air into her lungs, then she proceeded to slowly open her eyes.
She thought she would have winced due to some harsh lighting, but the place was relatively dark if not for the few light bulbs that were sparingly hung on a wire above the wooden ceiling.
The place looked like a rundown factory with broken machinery lying around the whole place.

“Look here, young lady,” Barrel forced Ariel’s face to look at his face.
Ariel grunted silently as Barrel’s fingers dug into her cheeks.
“Easy, Barrel, we don’t want to leave marks on her, remember the instructions,” The boss reminded calmly.
“Josh,” The boss called.
“Yes, boss,” another smaller guy walked closer from a corner.
“Go bring her in, make sure she’s not with anyone else,” the boss commanded.
“Yes, boss,” Josh replied and walked toward the door again.
‘Bring who in?
Have they kidnapped another girl?
Was this just their sick fun job?’ Ariel thought angrily.
She winced her eyes as Joas opened the door, and the bright afternoon sun streamed into the place, hurting her eyes that had been in the dark for a long time.
“You’ve got quite an enemy, young lady.
Do you know who we are?” Barrel asked.
Ariel shook her head.
Barrel chuckled.
“We’re the best assassins in the country,” He provided.
Ariel’s blood turned cold; she felt her heart stop functioning for a second before it picked up and faced like it had never raced before.
There was only one person who was sinister enough to set her up like this: Moon.
She was a hundred percent convinced that Moon was behind all this, just so she could have Aiden all to herself.
She was worried that Aiden would be fooled by her once again, and she was sure that Moon would stay behind Aiden throughout this period just to stop him from searching for her until she was sure her minions had killed her.
She wished there was a way for her to reach out to Aiden; she needed to make him understand that Moon was a devil who did not need redemption, she’s past redemption.
“Don’t scare the little lady, Barrel,” The boss said with said back tone.
Barrel gave Ariel a wide smile before he loved back and stood beside his boss.
Ariel just sat there, looking around to avoid their gazes.
She didn’t know if she should be relieved that they’d been asked not to harm her, but she was still scared by the knowledge of them being assassins; they could still decide to kill her just for the fun of it.
She started to hear footsteps again, and soon the door was pushed open and in walked Josh and Eva?!
‘Eva?!’ Ariel thought in shock.
Eva was the last person she could think of who would have been responsible for her kidnap.
She didn’t think Eva was capable of planning such an extreme and evil act.
Eva might be proud, mischievous, and even manipulating, but she never pegged her as evil as this.
It was Moon who came to her mind when she thought of who the culprit would be, but it seemed like she was in for some kind of ground-breaking revelation this time around.
“Good afternoon, Ms.
Eva, please, sit,” The boss greeted and brought another chair for Eva to sit in front of Ariel.
Ariel was watching Eva, she had a sinister smile on her face as she walked over to sit down in front of her, and she couldn’t help but hate her more.
“Thank you, Hugo,” Eva smiled to the boss as she lowered herself onto the chair, crossing her legs and flaunting her expensive shoe at Ariel.
But Ariel couldn’t care less about her goddamned shoes; she was just elated to leave this place as fast as possible; she didn’t want them to harm her baby.
Her baby!
She suddenly looked around in search of her handbag where she had kept her test result; if any of them found it, especially Eva, she would make sure they killed her and her baby because she would see it as a threat.
She prayed to God to keep their minds away from wherever the bag was at that moment.
“Hello, sister,” Eva smiled at Ariel.
Ariel glared at her, making sure she saw the hatred in her eyes.
Eva chuckled.
“Let her speak, I have a few questions,” Eva said to Hugo.
“Yes, Ms.
Eva,” He replied and went forward, roughly tearing out the tape from Ariel’s mouth.
“Argh!” Ariel screamed from the sudden pain.
She felt the area around her mouth tingling with pain and irritation from the glue from the tape.
“Aww, so sorry, sister, I know it’s a little uncomfortable for you right now, but I think you deserve it, you bitch!” Eva slapped her hard on the cheek, causing her face to turn to the side.
“Ugh!” Ariel grunted, gritting her teeth and clenching her fists behind her.
“You’re a coward, Eva, just like you’ve always been,” Ariel snapped her head to Eva, scowling.
Eva scoffed, “I don’t care what you say, all you have to know is that Aiden will be mine in the end,” She boasted.
Ariel chuckled, “Whatever makes you believe that proves that you should be in a psychiatrist because you’re delusional as you’ve been, Eva.
Give up already and let me go; I’ll spare your life by not telling anyone you were behind my kidnap,” She spoke clearly.
Eva was about to slap her again but Hugo caught her hand, placing it down on her lap, “Ms.
Eva, please remember, we were asked not to hurt her,” He reminded.
Eva huffed and pushed his hand away from her.
“Fine, but just watch your words, Ariel; I don’t mind going against the rule and killing myself,” She glared at her.
Ariel chuckled again, shaking her head, “I knew it; you couldn’t have been the one to come up with this; you’re still following someone’s orders like the dumb person you are; tell me, who’s it, your mummy?” She taunted.
Eva’s face turned red in anger, “It doesn’t matter who’s behind it, all that matters is that Aiden will be mine in the end, and you?
You’ll be left to rot somewhere where no one will ever find you, understood?” “And what makes you think he’d want a spoilt brat like you?” Ariel questioned.
Eva smiled; she locked her eyes with Ariek as she slowly dipped her hand into her bag and brought out a phone.
“My phone!” Ariel gasped.
Eva smirked, “Yes, your phone.
You asked why he’d chose me…is this enough reason?” She slowly turned the phone to Ariel.
The moment Ariel saw what was showing on her phone, she gasped loudly, her brain shutting down for a few seconds.
“Impossible…” She whispered in a shaky voice.
Eva chuckled and removed the phone from Ariel’s face.
“No, that’s not possible, that’s not me…you’ve framed me!
You’re a liar!” Ariel accused angrily.
“Oh, be quiet, Ariel.
I didn’t frame you.
I’ll tell you how everything went.” Eva cleared her throat and relaxed into the chair.
“You’ve been here for two days, and on the first day, we took our time to take you to a luxurious hotel where you met with your boyfriend and, of course, had sex with him.
You were even bold enough to take some pictures of you and him on the bed.
Now, you’re about to send it to the man who loves you, I’m sure this would be enough to get his mind away from you.
He’d hate you, Ariel, and in his time of sorrow, I’ll be his shoulder to cry on; trust me, I know how to make a man heal faster,” Eva smirked as she started to send the image to Auden with Ariel’s phone.
Ariel’s heart sank, and she started to struggle on the chair.
As much as she knew that she was unconscious as they took that picture, she knew Aiden would believe it; he’d think that she had really cheated on him, which was his greatest fear with women.
He’d think that if she was just like his mother, he’d think he’d been right from the beginning.
It would break him, and in the end, he would hate her.
“No, please, Eva, don’t send it to him, don’t hurt him that way!
Please,” She struggled on the chair, leaning forward but still not reaching Eva.
“Ah, ah, ah, Sister, relax.
I’ve already sent it.
Now, we wait for his reaction,” Eva laughed.
Ariel cried.
She was shaking as her heart broke a million times.
In the next second, her phone started ringing loudly.
“Ohh, look, the boyfriend is calling…” Eva waved the phone in front of Ariel.
